one of the best short reviews for ages. you can truly generate some far out sounds with this in realtime. a classic thats often overlooked as ‘ old tech’. jb x
If you want to see how a Kaoss Pad can be used in a concert setting, check out the live performance of "Everything in Its Right Place" by Radiohead. I believe Jonny Greenwod uses a different version of the KP, but regardless he manages to make Thom's voice. um, rather different.
Thanks! I just plugged a normal Jack out of my guitar and into the KP3. There’s no other equipment being used - a bit of compression on the recorded audio just to level it all
Yes they’re unusual connectors which is annoying. I just buy the official Korg ones, but you can buy adapters from Aliexpress. TBH I wouldn’t trust anything but the official one for my live shows, as cheap power supplies are unreliable and often produce loads of mains hum…
Can anyone help me? I am having so much trouble trying to find the right equipment for the korg Kaoss Pad Kp1. I am trying to manipulate my voice with the pad but I don’t know what to connect the pad to to emit sound and hear my vocals live with the effects from the pad. If anyone knows anything about what I’m trying to do, reply and we can talk about it somewhere else:))

Connect a mic to the kaoss pad line in or mic in. Then connect the line out to your stereo or speakers.
Avenged sevenfold used a kaoss pad on their song we love you. It sounded so cool and wacky.
Nice I’ll have to check that out 👍
