- @Copwatchtv obtained body camera footage of a situation between Cleveland County Sheriff Deputies and Lexington Police Officers.
A Lexington Police officer pulled over an SUV that was speeding. The man identified himself as Sheriff Chris Amason of Cleveland County. He said he was on his way to a SWAT call.
Lexington officer takes issue with how things are going and Lexington Ronnie Johnson shows up to the scene.

Nobody except the first few cops that backed off after getting shot at through the classroom door in Uvalde knew exactly what the situation was. Anyone that showed up afterwards was from out of town police agencies and had limited information. They would have assumed the situation was being handled correctly because they didn’t have the same basis of knowledge that the first few officers did.

Imagine your ego being so hurt by the county agency handling a SWAT callout within their own county that you feel the need to interrupt their briefing just to cry about not being in the know. It's called a phone call, just ask wtf is happening and figure it out later.
I was in public sadtey for just over 7 years and i can say there are alot of big egos in public saftey. It's disgusting and disappointing.
I found out elsewhere they all knew what it was. There was a former Tulsa cop wanted for rape in the city. City police were protecting him by refusing to serve the warrant. Bondsman called sheriff’s department to do it, and the police chief co fronted them for serving the warrant.
Exactly, the sheriff does not have to even notify the Chief of police as it was a Sheriff's Hostage situation, who responded first and who was on scene first? The sheriff's, getting butt hurt about not being in the know is completely unprofessional and that chief should be removed from his position immediately. Thanks but you pulled this vehicle over in my city, ohh son but your in my county, these guys need to learn where they sit. Seems the chief has a power tripping ego, the deputy's and the sheriff himself is fed up with. Don't forget charges could land this Chief being arrested, it would not be hard to prove an obstruction of justice charge, endangering the welfare of said hostage by his actions and anger. That's what I would do is just charge him for obstruction as it was not his scene, it was the sheriff's department jurisdiction once they were on scene. What a joke this whole party was 🎉

Apparently, the local police chief was protecting a former LE who had an outstanding warrant for a crime I can't post without getting auto-deleted. Local pd would not serve the warrant. Bondsman called sheriff's department to do it and they did. Local PD caught sheriff speeding to the scene. The resulting drama is on video. Sheriff's department comes out pretty far ahead from what I have seen thus far.

Sheriffs Department was 100% in the right. The police department dropped the ball. The sheriffs have the same jurisdiction and they took the call.
How did the police department drop the ball when no one from the sherrifs department informed them of what was going on? They are two different departments. They are on totally different channels when it comes to their radios. Dispatch relays everything separately, etc.... so again, how did they do the ball?
The county sheriff doesn't have the same jurisdiction, the county sheriff highest constitutional peace officer in a county. It's an elected position for a reason. The county sheriff is the highest law enforcement authority. He actually outranks that police chief.
@dolphinsblu if you listen closely the call went to the local pd 1st, they didn't accept it so, the sheriff department took the callout. That's why the cheif was pissed he didn't understand who or why they declined to take the callout in the 1st place

I swear, in my experience dealing with law enforcement, the sheriff's are usually the best. They're usually the most laidback and chill ones. PD is usually a whole different story.

So the Sheriff is a liar, a BONDSMAN contacted the City saying they were going to the house, the city police told them to make contact with their guy first and they would respond accordingly, the bondsman then called Sheriff's Office and lied to them that PD wasn't going to respond, they're all shitsticks that need to be removed from their positions.
