This man is way too underrated. He has phenomenal talent. Im not sure what is wrong with todays youth. Im always going to be open to any form of music that someone can connect with but today there are so many terrible watered down "artists" that depend on auto tune and software to correct their flaws and cover up the lack of talent. Ppl eat it up although is has little message or soul. Bow Im not one to judge ppl on what they listen to just because i don't like it. But im just saying blues is in the very roots and soul of America. This man is the embodiment of that and he needs to be heard. I dont care if ppl say he is just imitating whats already been done. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. I think he brings his own style and soul into the mix. As a guitarist myself, what i really love about listening to Eric Gales play is that when most other people play guitar i am always trying to look and figure out what they are doing on the guitar so i can copy them in my own playing. But when it comes to Eric Gales i can just sit back and enjoy the music because what he plays is just so far out of my league that it is beyond me, so it enables me to say to myself, fuck it, i will never do what he is doing on that guitar so don't try to look what his hands are doing on the fretboard, just listen and enjoy the master.
