Escalator somewhat reminds me of the London Underground. Those, depending on the location, are long as well but I’m pretty sure much longer. It was questionable how deep into the earth we were going as you couldn’t see the bottom from the top. I thought all mailboxes in airports were sealed shut for safety concerns. ??
At least Atlanta has a train that connects to ATL. LA is finally getting with the program by adding a people mover to LAX. Currently, the horseshoe of the airport is a nightmare. It has sometimes (actually often) taken me about an hour to drive around that road. Buses, such as the one you rode to get your rental car, get trapped in the same horseshoe. Next year traveling to the new central auto rental terminal will be done in the people mover, which most airports already have. Better late than never.
Yesterday, I happened to watch an old video when you met the German in Venice, what a difference in your weight!! Keep it up and again, don't forget the TSA Express .

I don't know if you know this or not, but that super long escalator you were on in the airport was actually used in a movie called The Heavenly Kid in the late 80s, starring Richard Mulligan, Jason Gedrick and Lewis Smith. If you haven't seen or heard of it, I highly recommend it. It's one of my personal favorites from the 80s.

Hey was great meeting you at Dragoncon! Sad about it being your last year. Videos are always the best. I mentioned Amex platinum card is great for lounge access. Specifically the centurion lounges as their food is amazing. I’d also recommend going for marriot status as you get 4pm checkout and free breakfast for 2. At Dragoncon this saved me $330 for breakfast alone. Hyatt is also good but less around.
When you come to NYC i have a pair of escalators you need to try. One is in Grand Central Station, it's in the lower area where the Long Island Rail Road is. It's a two minute trip down to departure floor. The other is by Javits Convention Center at the end of the 7 subway line. It's another long trip also it has in the middle a climbing elevator. Safe travels.
Adam because yoiu travel more then mere mortals you should do a vid on gear. today you mentioned your suitcase and backpack. if you bought today would you look for differant brand and options? (Im lookng for a day pack that when half full will fit under an airline seat if there is no room above.)
