OK, time to enlighten the Adam. The strangely colored pink water pond and white ground you saw as your plane overflew the South Bay Area are salt evaporation ponds in various states of the process of creating salt. The pink color is attributed to iodine being added to the water to create iodized salt, and the white ones are dried after evaporation and need to be harvested.
Just visited Oakland not so long ago. Stayed in Emeryville and took the ferry from Alameda to the ballpark. Saved alot of time. Didnt have to deal with the traffic or finding parking. We also visited the USS Hornet and took a tour of the aircraft carrier in Alameda. It was a great trip. Stay safe out there.
Ive been watching Adam the Woo videos for over 10 years now and I love how he has perfected the art of being on vacation as a job. It great being able to see all these places as Adam travels around the country. Thanks for sharing all these video adventures with us, Adam!
Welcome back to The Bay Area. A word of warning, I heard you say trolly. Years ago my daughter and I were waiting at the end of the line for a cablecar on Market Street, when my daughter said called it a trolly. I was dismayed and shocked my daughter who lived in the Bay Area all her life called a street car a trolly. I told her quietly that trolly is considered almost offensive to cable operators . She looked at me like I was crazy. Just then the cablecar brakeman, a mountain of man with a Grizzly Adams bread and Hells Angles looking blue jean vest turned around and on the back of his vest was a huge patch which read" Don't call it a trolly."
Welcome to the Bay Area Adam! Word of warning. SF may be in the 60's all week, but if you go out of the city, it will be in the 80's in the South Bay and 90's in the East Bay. Always dress in layers. The good news is, low humidity with those temps. Have a great time!
Yes. Was in SF in June and needed a jacket. Walk five blocks, remove jacket. Get on the ferry, put on jacket and still shiver. Great city to visit, though.
Your travel vlogs are so addicting to watch. They are simple but entertaining. I think it’s because you pay attention to small details that most of us rush past and overlook during the travel chaos.
Hey Adam, welcome back to SF.! Downtown is not as “vibrant “ as it was in past- so many store closures and of course street folk. Best to avoid tenderloin especially at night. It’s tough having lived in SF 30 years and experiencing the City change from what it was, but there are still some longtime residents that still have love and affection and hope for improvement. I’m in NOPA, across the panhandle from Haight street near Golden Gate Park. To me, it’s the best area in the entire City. I remember you visited the Bison and ate at The Pork Store last time. You should make Haight a stop again, but most stores don’t open until 11am. Hope you have a great visit, looking forward to watching your experience in our city.
Smart move not renting a car in San Francisco. There are enough public transpiration options to get around that city. And San Francisco is notorious for thieves smashing car windows.
It's been 60-70 degrees all summer, we rarely get 90s and 100s , my utility bills are $35 ... sorry for the brutally hot weather in your neck of the woods 😊
I love San Francisco to pieces, and I will always remember that Woo's video riding the cable cars a couple years ago with Daphne is how I first discovered this channel. Adam instantly won me over because I like talking out loud to pigeons too, haha, and I never knew my other fellow city bird whisperers were out there 🤣 I look forward to this week's festivities. ✌️
I grew up in the area, San Mateo just to the south. My dad’s family business was in The City going back to the 1950’s (I was born in 1957). We use to go up to SF on Friday’s when we were old enough to drive and hang out. Sadly, because of the way San Francisco and it’s ultra-progressive way the city has been run it has become a crime-ridden pit! Major stores (Nordstrom, Target, Walgreens, etc.) as well as major hotels like Marriott are out of there because of the crime and care-free shoplifting. That is what happens when there is no longer punishment when you break the law. It is sad…… As much as I am not a fan of Dianne Feinstein and her party as it is now, she ran that city with an iron fist! As did Willie Brown in the late 1980’s. Now…..I won’t even step foot in that place!
23:54 This is a railroad drawbridge that is open for barge traffic. The bridge may have bridge tenders working on it or it may be automated meaning the bridge is turned from a remote drawbridge control station that turns more than one drawbridge.
Hey Adam. While in SF you MUST visit the last location of the original ice cream parlors in the US. SWENSONS Ice Cream. This is the original location, and the only one left. it’s in downtown San Francisco.
This is crazy you literally just got back to Florida the other day from being in California lol. Most people wouldn't have the type of energy level that is required to travel like that. Once I leave another State I don't go back for years. It's only been like a week for you and you're back already. I believe that is the first time you filmed the clock in downtown Celebration at night/early morning. Very nice to see it lit up like that…thank you for sharing this!
Heads up Adam. The weather day is not normal at all but enjoy it because we rarely get funky weather like this at all. Also git the Disney Family Museum in the Presidio if you can, talk about some major Marceline Missouri Walt history. A not to be missed Disney location. Have fun!!!!
Yes, I've been there. Very interesting museum. I was stationed at the Presidio in the late 60s/early 70s, worked at Letterman Army Medical Center. The museum is in one of the former men's barracks buildings.
Welcome to my neck of the woods Adam! (I'm actually in the South Bay Area.) While you're here, here are some tips from a life-long Bay Area guy. I'm assuming that you're going to see the Giants play the Rays at Pac Bell Park. (That was its original name and what us long time Giants fans will always call it.) If so, make sure to take a jacket with you. It will be cold - bet on it! Us Giants fans all know to take a jacket, a sweatshirt, and/or a blanket with us to a game. If you don't, everyone will know that you're a fan of the opposing team though because you'll be shivering like crazy in shorts and a t-shirt in the seventh inning of a night game. It's about time that you made it to Pac Bell! Us Giants fans are very proud of our home park so please enjoy your time there. If you think that Pac Bell is cold, then be thankful that you never saw a Giants or 49ers game at Candlestick Park. That place was absolutely freezing, year-round! Also, in case you did not know, the Giants came very close to playing at your Tropicana Field. The Giants wanted to get out of Candlestick Park and play in a new ball park so they threatened to move to the then-new Tropicana Field. Thankfully, Peter Magowan bought the Giants, built Pac Bell Park, and the rest is history. So, you actually could have become a Giants fan, believe it or not. Thank goodness the Giants remained the San Francisco Giants though! When up here in Northern CA, please do not say "the" in front of the freeway names. For example, in Southern CA they call it "The Five" but up here it's known as just "Five." Don't ask me why it's like that but it just is. Also, NEVER EVER refer to San Francisco as "Frisco." That is a city in Texas, not in Northern CA. Refer to it as "The City" (as you did in this video,) "Ess Eff" (S.F.,) or "San Francisco." People in S.F. absolutely despise it when people say the name of that city in Texas when referring to their home town. (Deion Sanders did that at his introductory press conference when he signed with the 49ers and it did not sit too well with Niner fans.) Enjoy the cool weather free of humidity while you're here. The weather forecast that you showed is fairly typical for S.F. in the summer. Be aware that summer time in S.F. means fog - lots of it! If you're hoping to get beautiful footage of the Golden Gate Bridge, good luck. It will probably be bathed in fog. The Bay Area folks know that to get beautiful fog-free pictures of the bridge, you have to visit it in the Fall, not in the summer. The warmest weather in S.F. is actually in the fall, not in the summer. A lot of tourists are shocked when they expect Southern CA weather in S.F. and they find out that the weather is quite different. I hope that you make it over to The Presidio to check out the Walt Disney Family Museum. It is an absolute must-do if you are into Disney history...the real history and not the almost 100% pure fiction that The Walt Disney Company calls "history." Be forewarned though that I do not know if you are allowed to post your video footage from the museum on RUclips. Before you go, you might want to check up on that first. Have fun in the Bay Area Adam! Whenever you come to CA, you always go to Southern CA and all too often completely leave out Northern CA. Don't forget that we have a lot to see and do up here too!
The red ponds are salt evaporation ponds. Landing at Oak looks almost the same except, typically, landings are south to north! “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco” (Mark Twain) There used to be a lounge (52nd floor I believe( in the B of A building where you can watch the fog roll in, in the afternoon, and watch, from above the clouds, surround the pyramid m, with only the tip sticking out
You need to check out the Disney Family Museum located in the Presidio. Being a Disney fan, you will love it if you have not been before. I was there back in the summer of 2017 and was blown away. Safe travels, Adam.
Fun fact: American Airlines and 7-11 corporate offices are located in Dallas/Fort Worth. And also it's stupid hot in DFW right now. High of 108 this past week. Have fun in CA!
Speaking of great names for public transportation, UC Berkeley, a few decades ago, had a shuttle bus service called "Humphrey Go-Bart." Thought you'd appreciate that.
Next time so you don’t have to walk too far at sfo aiprort. Take the air train to the bart station. It has a stop for bart to transfer. Also happy to see you’re in the bay again, welcome back!
first time I flew over disney... 1973 in my friend's private plane. The fireworks were a disappointment from the sky - who knew. The water light show was fun to see. first time I flew into SF 1986 and I recall vividly seeing the fog like weird fingers dipping into the hill creases and canyons. That unusual colored water is the salt evaporation tanks in Fremont/Newark (used to work RIGHT there - down the street from Morton/Cargill). That old railway in the bay is Don Edwards State Park and you should DEFINITELY go there - take a walk out onto the old bridge - there's a fishing pier there few realize is even there and fantastic views ON the water. (my favorite place to park and walk in the Bay Area!) Go see Alameda- visit the USS Hornet museum. DEFINITELY check out Lake Chabot and Don Edwards.
Speaking from experience, AA Flights out of MCO to the west coast via a DFW layover are some of the worst in terms of delays and cancellations. Happy to see you made your trip with relative ease!
I work at SF Airport, and live in the areas you recorded while landing, so cool to see it from a different point of view! Welcome to Fog City, where you can experience all 4 seasons in one day 😂 You can check out the Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio, so much history (an awesome replica of Disneyland inside too). Hoping to one day visit Disneyworld, kinda scared of the heat & humidity, since we're used to 65-70 degree weather. Also, autonomous vehicles with NO human drivers are available to book to get around San Francisco now (similar to Lyft/Uber), maybe you can try one! Loved the Greenday episode you did in the East Bay awhile back, saw them live at SF Oracle Park for the Hella Mega Tour, they were absolutely amazing!!
That sculpture (4:20) is perfection. It always baffles me that it isn't made of silicone. In the videos it really appears to be a soft skin like material.
That was my thought. Definitely keep your head on a swivel. I've also had been told your better off leaving a window open in your car so they don't break them to get in. Very sad!
@@bambambundy6 I live just outside of SF, 20 minutes from downtown. The key is to simply not leave anything of value visible in the car. No way I'd leave a window open in an unattended car there.

I hope you go to Alcatraz. I went to San Francisco once (from South Dakota) with friends, and we only had one day there, but we missed the last boat to go there that day. I was a bit sad, but, maybe someday, I'll get back. Until then, I'll have to dream through others.
Mr Adam The most important meal of the day is breakfast... You dont lose weight by skipping meals.... So please eat breakfast,it can be a nice smoothie,or some fruits, nuts. But just coffee is not good for your body..One day it will let you know.. I tried this my self and it did not end well by skipping breakfast and just drinking coffee
Adam, you are in my neck of the woods, if you wanna visit San Jose, Mountain View, that’s where I live we have Google hear the Silicon Valley, get on Caltrain,, it’s only like $16 a day pass, If you wanna go to Levi stadium, get on Caltrain you can get off in Santa Clara and visit those areas. If you want to, very convenient the cow train in I would advise for you to do that if it’s possible.
If you have never been, the Houston airport has a people mover that was actually built by WED. Its the only public people mover ever built outside a Disney park.
I just renewed my TSA Precheck for another 3 years (I think it was for 3 or more years) for 70 dollars. No need for a new photo, or a visit to some office. It works well, and to me it worth it.
I recognized a lot of that area on the approach to the landing! Foster City, the salt ponds, Coyote Point (the park just south of the airport). As for BART -I used to ride it into The City for years to get to work. I don’t now since I transferred to our Palo Alto office. BART doesn’t go down that far. The trains pull in to the end of the line pretty slowly. The airport line is a short side route. I hope you have a great time here. So much to see, impossible to see everything in a short time.
12:50 [looks up and waves at Adam] Howdy pardner! I'm in that shot somewhere but inside one of those buildings cuz this time of year I avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
Dallas is home sweet home for me! I have a love hate relationship with DFW airport lol love it but hate getting to it with random constructions and gates, also love San Francisco haven’t visited there in a long time
yeah Jacob the Carpetbagger had his car broken into and many things stolen that was somewhere in California might have been San Francisco, take care Adam, enjoy your visit
Watching your vloggs, i really want to visit San Fran and LA, but my family wants to go back to Florida, which we have been many times , I will have to persuade them
23:30 Salt ponds - As the salt water gets more concentrated, it becomes yellowish, then red/pink. The white is salt. Former site of Leslie salt company. The used small gauge trains to haul salt on the flats. While I'm not sure that train bridge is related... Huell Howser did an episode on the Leslie salt flats and surrounding marshes.
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome flight to San Francisco! Thank you for taking me along with you on your flight! Looking forward to your next vlog. YOU TOTALLY ROCK!!!!!!
Nice ! Welcome to The City Adam. Yeah tough times is an understatement for many reasons I won't go into. But still a beautiful looking City. With some things Still to do. Stay Safe. And it would be cool just to stop and say hi at the game. Maybe one day !!!
I agree about the rental car in SF, but... don't you want to visit Santa Cruz ( Lost Boys, Killer Clowns, Birds!). If you can take BART to the17 Metro, you can get here, but maybe an Uber. I recommend staying at The Brookdale Lodge (as seen on Ghost Hunters) and dinner at Scopazzi's in Boulder Creek, an old speak easy.

It’s nice to have you back in California. Enjoy San Francisco bro! I’m in Spokane currently. Been out traveling a week also.
first time I flew over disney...
DFW or Denver, a layover at either one can ruin all of your flight plans. You are so correct.
Smart no car. There are so many car break ins right now. especially with tourist. Have a great trip in the city!
Don’t worry Disney World in Jan, Feb or March is 45-70, it’s wonderfully comfortable!
That sculpture (4:20) is perfection. It always baffles me that it isn't made of silicone. In the videos it really appears to be a soft skin like material.
Have a safe trip Adam. Be careful there. Things in SFO (the city) haven't been so hot lately as you've probably heard.
I’ve heard. I’ll keep an eye out
That was my thought.
Greetings
I am a stranger to you.
I am not a friend, colleague, or an acquaintance.
Our paths will never cross and we will never meet,
I’m nothing but a phantom urging you on.
Your videos mean absolutely everything to me.
At times we all stumble and get lost.
These words are meant to be a beckon sent out exclusively to you to encourage you to keep going even on the days when you doubt your path.
You are the driver of our magical monorail and without you we would be stranded and afraid.
Thank You Adam
From the bottom of my 💕
The Wander story is crazy!
Am I the only one curious that Adam didn’t do a “vlog over”?🤔
I mentioned that but he'll probably get on me for also pointing out the bad cuts and edits of the entire vlog overall..
YES!!! The Carpetbagger knows about car break-in’s in San Francisco!
Hey ADAM great video from Orlando FL to Fort Worth TX..Then to San Francisco CA for a week..Amazing time zones..Enjoy on
When BART took you to the outskirts beyond the airport limits, I was waiting for you to say "THE STREETS of SAN FRANCISCO!"
I lived in the Bay Area years ago. I miss a lot of it. I’m looking forward to seeing all the places you visit! Smart man not taking a car into The City! Hope it’s a great time!
I live in the East Bay, and I LOVE this video. I've lived in Florida as well. I felt like I was getting out of the house and seeing what's going on. Thank you! Cool. Very cool.
You picked an awesome place to go San Francisco and I’ll tell you if I had to pick any other place to live than SoCal that would be my pick I just love San Francisco so much I love the architecture there and the climate so I’m looking forward to spending time hanging out with you probably seeing things I haven’t seen before and I know I will be learning a whole lot as I always do with you so have fun out there and explore the heck out of Frisco now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next awesome vlog adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Please be careful there it is not the same place we ell remember.
I hope you go to Alcatraz. I went to San Francisco once (from South Dakota) with friends, and we only had one day there, but we missed the last boat to go there that day. I was a bit sad, but, maybe someday, I'll get back. Until then, I'll have to dream through others.
Mr Adam
The most important meal of the day is breakfast... You dont lose weight by skipping meals.... So please eat breakfast,it can be a nice smoothie,or some fruits, nuts. But just coffee is not good for your body..One day it will let you know.. I tried this my self and it did not end well by skipping breakfast and just drinking coffee
Ahh San Francisco BART! Brings back memories. Thank you for the video Adam. Looking forward to your adventures in San Francisco!
Adam, you are in my neck of the woods, if you wanna visit San Jose, Mountain View, that’s where I live we have Google hear the Silicon Valley, get on Caltrain,, it’s only like $16 a day pass,
If you wanna go to Levi stadium, get on Caltrain you can get off in Santa Clara and visit those areas. If you want to, very convenient the cow train in I would advise for you to do that if it’s possible.
Morning Adam! Awesome, safe travels!
Nice views from the sky 🫶🏼 you need to come and stay in the Dallas area! Lots to see and do !
If you have never been, the Houston airport has a people mover that was actually built by WED. Its the only public people mover ever built outside a Disney park.
Safe travels, Mr. Woo!
❤✈️🙏❤
I live in San Francisco. Lots of hills and very foggy. It is not that hot there also. I am looking forward for your new vloggs there in the city.
I’m taking the Amtrak next week round trip DenverSan Francisco. Thanks for the sightseeing advice 😊
Why don’t you do the TSA pre approval so you’re not waiting in lines?
@@boblazar115 Yeah, he probably got his tattoos in prison.
Once you go TSA PreCheck you never want to take your belt and shoes off at the airport again Mr. Woo! Highly recommend it!
I just renewed my TSA Precheck for another 3 years (I think it was for 3 or more years) for 70 dollars. No need for a new photo, or a visit to some office. It works well, and to me it worth it.
Enjoy Oracle Park! I’m biased, but it’s the best park in baseball. Explore the food behind center field. Go Giants 😁
Oh my, that weather! I need it! Florida is sooo hot.
So much to see, impossible to see everything in a short time.
that was one brutal ending i didn't hear the vlog is over
The ending left me wanting more ;-)
Be careful in SFO!!!
I love going on the airplane flights with you! So interesting!
And no ear popping.
Welcome to the Bay Area Adam and hello from Santa Cruz!
And that’s gonna do it for today! 😂
12:50 [looks up and waves at Adam] Howdy pardner! I'm in that shot somewhere but inside one of those buildings cuz this time of year I avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
Thank you Adam just be careful.
Thanks Adam for bringing the humidity from Florida 😅JK...
I love the Dawn, the best time of the day, time between time.
Watching your vloggs, i really want to visit San Fran and LA, but my family wants to go back to Florida, which we have been many times , I will have to persuade them
Try and hit the Tonga Room in basement of the Fairmont hotel. Awesome old school tiki bar with a pirate ship and thunderstorms
Have a safe trip. I’m originally from the Bay Area (San Jose to be exact). Definitely should check out the Walt Disney family museum while you there.
Dude, that weather is our Florida winter weather haha. I'm so jealous.
That was a great shadow shot.
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."- Unknown
Not unknown, Twain said it!
No he didn't.
Yes, he did!
@@TheREELGEEK Look it up, he didn't.
The airline experience videos get solid views 🙌🏻
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome flight to San Francisco! Thank you for taking me along with you on your flight! Looking forward to your next vlog. YOU TOTALLY ROCK!!!!!!
god bless the good looking people of the world your friend from east of the ATL
Nice ! Welcome to The City Adam. Yeah tough times is an understatement for many reasons I won't go into. But still a beautiful looking City. With some things Still to do. Stay Safe. And it would be cool just to stop and say hi at the game. Maybe one day !!!
San fran
I agree about the rental car in SF, but... don't you want to visit Santa Cruz ( Lost Boys, Killer Clowns, Birds!). If you can take BART to the17 Metro, you can get here, but maybe an Uber. I recommend staying at The Brookdale Lodge (as seen on Ghost Hunters) and dinner at Scopazzi's in Boulder Creek, an old speak easy.
