Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.
Summit Entertainment presents, an Appian Way production, a Safehouse Pictures production, in association with Thunder Roads Films.
My name is Robin of Loxley. After five years in a hellish crusade I came home with only one goal, to steal from the rich and give to the poor. But to do that I must become someone else, I must become something else. I am the Green Ar- I am Robin Hood
My name is Arthur of Britania. After a witch gave Me the ledgendary sword Excalibur i returned home to Camelot to rid my home of the Tyranical saxons. With Excalibur in hand i am the best swordsmen alive. I am King Arthur.
You have failed this city!
to be fair, Green Arrow obviously rips off Robin Hood. Is it really stealing if your are stealing from the ones who stole from you?
JackOBlades0801 Neither is really stealing. More like inspired by. But the comments have more to do with the visual style and the over-the-top action.
JokerL1000 Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Didnt knew Medieval England was quite advanced and way ahead of their time. People back then were so fancy, their fashion sense was so on point that Robin Hood didn't wear anything less than a leather jacket with machine-stitched hoodie. If someone told me that this was not really a movie, but an advertisement for a leather jacket, showcasing the agility and flexibility one gets after wearing it, I would have totally believed them.
Saqiq bahi, this isn't Kingdom of Heaven. I think it is made by the same people who did the strange new King Arthur movie.
this entire trailer felt like an advertisement for leather jackets with hoodies attached
Jhon Shephard that was a pile of horseshit, this looks the exact same no surprise it's the same clowns behind it
Patrick D I thought it was some kind of Hawkeye origin story initially
I didn't know people get wounded by fiction so much
I'm waiting for Jamie Fox to pull out a 9 mm and say, " We robbin this hood."
Jonathan Dryden holy shit ahhahaha
the best
Nah I just legit hollered, 😂😂😂😂
Yes please.
That would be great😂😂😂
Because 'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword' was such a great success. This must be Liongate's "hold my beer" moment on who could lose more money.
King Arthur Legend of the Sword wasn't a success, it bombed so hard at the box office
@@K0m30ng you completely missed the joke bruh

100 Rental Cars Yeah true. They have given us the whole movie in the name of a trailer.
DeepFriedMarshmallows absolutely nailed it. Movie still looks shit, mind you.
DeepFriedMarshmallows ya it did like how do you not see that?
so true 😜😜😜
When you spend 90% of your budget signing Jamie Foxx...
when the movie would have been epic without the token black PC blm actor.
Who else was going to play the Moor? Morgan Freeman again. Lol.
@@milovale55 Blacksmiths are called that because the metal was black, not their skin.
Because you have to please leftist and black people. Well, I'm not watching this so Hollywood can suck it.
O
This looks like Robin Hood (2010) mixed with Ben-Hur (2016), Assassin's Creed (2016), Kingsman: The Secret Service, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017). I don't know how to feel about that.
Funny, because the guy who plays Eggsy in _Kingsman_ is playing as Robin Hood in this movie.
Delightful Addition bad, you should feel bad about it
My bet is on terrible.

OnielAnubis I know right where the hell was Hawkeye?!
What is this? Assasins Creed meets Green Arrow, Fast and the Furious and Occupy Wallstreet?
The wait continues for a Robin Hood movie that's actually about the original fun tales of Robin Hood.
Lend me your ears!
I have always laughed that the parody is the most accurate.
What about the Disney one
To me, the best Robin Hood was the 90's film with Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.
What about the series from UK? The first season is from 2008 and yes Robin should die in the third one. But I saw only two seasons so I am not sure about it.
Boy, did the Middle Ages have some hip fashions
Yeah!
CONTEMPORARY!!!
That's when you know its been too hollywoodized😒 I'm kinda skeptical that they would of even of known those types of moves in those times.
Ha the costume isn't even authentic😜you can tell in a movie or tv show when the costumes are authentic if the men of royal class have tights and puffy pants on.
I love it when Hollywood doesn't learn from mistakes already made. This has the exact feel of King Arthur, legend of the sword. And thus it is doomed to fail.
The Dutch Texan I liked that movie
The only problem with that movie was the wasted scenes. I personally loved that movie.
this looks far, far worse. King Arthur at least had some Guy Ritchie dialogue and charm to it. This has none of that.
SO TRUE! This feels like it could be taking place next door to King Arthur: Legend of the Sword!
Legend of the sword was an awesome movie and the only problem crtics had with it it was bc 'It didn't follow the original story'... so fucking what? People don't want to watch the same stuff all over again.
the only robin hood that ill ever watch is the animated version
@Bigcock Loadsofmoney you obviously do.
@Bigcock Loadsofmoney thanks for taking the time to tell me that nobody cares.
Should watch Men in Tights !! I think you would like that too !
So when you say it's a "Robin Hood" film what you really mean is that it's some medieval fantasy blend of Batman, V for Vendetta and Green Arrow, with Robin Hood just thrown in for the title.?
You missed Assassins of creed

I look forward to watching this on some streaming site for free and getting bored and quitting 2/3 of the way through, just like that recent King Arthur movie
Same my guy 😂
This looks 'aight' at best...man I swear I loved the King Arthur movie tho
King Arthur was good
I can't believe you made it through 2/3 of the King Arthur movie, I quit after the first 30 minutes. What a shit film.
I enjoyed the King Arthur movie but only for Charlie Hunams and Jude laws performances
It looks like they tried to make an authentic Robin Hood movie but then halfway through production they were like fuck it let's make it an action flick in the city lol
And then they got high which resulted in "What the fuck is a medieval?" followed by "What the fuck is a England?"
lmao, well said. They're probably going from ye ole Holy Land setting into a modernized, steampunk-ish, medieval-sci-fi european city amidst a social-repression-motivated riot because....
...I dunno, _'muh revolution'_ maybe? x'D
True, true. The thing is whenever somebody says "Robin Hood" what comes to mind immediately is Medieval England around the time of the 3rd(?) crusade but I get what you mean (RH's iconic status) xD
Personally, I'd welcome the idea of a *sci-fi* robin-hood-style flick over this... Like... a post-modern/trans-human UK where a common thief/outlaw along his (merry-men) band rise into an anti-hero of sorts... inspired by the myths of old.
But I think there are similar dystopian drama movies already haha.
from many negative comments; I think the problem is not the movie, but the title.
If change it from "Robin Hood" to something like "The Archer", maybe 90% of negative comments will shut up.
Someone with a brain
Agreed! To me, it feels like watching a trailer for the next Assassin's Creed game. This is more like a dystopian take of the story we know and not something that tries to be historically accurate.
Have you actually seen the movie? Put aside the costume, architecture of other "non-medival" flaws, it still a really bad movie. Lets talk about how they were trying so hard to be overly PC and having plot holes every 2 min.
@@maximebernatchez1855 my reply is before the actual movie came out.
At that time, many negative comment is all about how inaccurate it is to the original Robinhood.
@@MNArms I reckoned your comment wasn't whether it was good or bad but accurate or not.
Can Hollywood come up with something that isn't a reboot?
Favelize Adventures
Nope~~
Sadly, reboots sell my friend.
Sadly, some kids WILL watch that crap.
Favelize Adventures the correct answer to your question is: no
well did you see annihilation?
Prince of Thieves, Men in Tights, and Disney's Robin Hood. We already have 3 perfect Robin Hood films. That's enough.
WINGSPAN TT u left out the Russell Crowe Robin Hood
*What about the literal original, or is that one Prince of thieves*
Left out Errol Flynn’s “The Adventures of Robin Hood” in place of Prince of Thieves. Wow.
WINGSPAN TT and the BBC show before it was cancelled
Kwaylon Graham Russell Crowe version felt like watching a another Gladiator Movie.
This movie seems confused about what era it’s in. Hipster noblemen and beer bottles.
The whole look of the movie (sets, costumes, props, sfx, etc) makes you feel uncertain whether this is supposed to be history or fantasy. I think that is on purpose.
Anachronism isn’t really a bad thing.
Anachronism IS a bad thing. It prevents the film from being internally consistent.
“Oo-de-lally,” another new movie of Robin Hood.
“Golly, what a day.”
The movie should’ve been titled, Kingsman: Origins
Now that is original content.
Assassin Creed: Origins
The kingmens are part of Assassin Creeds.
I see potential in this thread....Keep it coming guys
Arrow: Origins
OK yes i agree
This movie is a guaranteed bomb. NOBODY wants to see this, and the studio should be embarrassed for not knowing this from the start.
That's the thing, though, is they don't. Their heads are stuck too far up their asses and they're too busy giving each other pats on the back to know what their audience does and doesn't want. The major studios are utter trash.
To be honest, I'd rather see this than superheros fight each other where no one dies except characters that no one cares about.
But... MONNEEEYYYYYY~~~~~~
Marshal Monsanto I wanna see it
They showed the entire movie in this trailer including the massive plot twist. Real good marketing dummies.
which plot twist? Taron Egerton is on all marketing material, so it was actually just very smartly done trailer
S-TROM lol are you trolllin? You think the marketing was smart and the trailer was good? Ha you probably loved the last Jedi too.
You just proved yourself to be a total idiot by thinking that the extremely obvious plot point is supposed to be a massive twist. I bet you shit your pants with surprise when you found out that Jaws was about a shark.
Sea Panther I didnt say marketing is good, cause actually I think they didnt even start promoting this shit and that's just the first trailer, which I didnt hate. It looks messy but that's not the point, all i was saying is that i'm sure there is not gonna be any plot twists in the movie and i liked that they did it at least in the trailer
S-TROM that's a huge problem. Part of the problem of a failing creative industry. 1) if you have to show the entire movie in a marketing campaign/trailer you leave nothing to draw interest from an audience and 2) if you're going to be so uncreative that you think it's a good idea to rerereredo a movie with a plot twist, DON'T REVEAL IT IN THE TRAILER! Just bad all around. Question is, why did they do that? They obvisiously didn't do it because it's gong to be a good movie. They did it because they hope by revealing everything they can attract someone who likes to be easily entertained.
Arrow Season 25 looks amazing
I still miss the cartoon Robin Hood with the fox
Cloning Phantom that’s based on a true story
what are you a fucking furry
Jim Morrison yeah
Then go watch it
You have Fox in this one.
Jamie Foxx.
Remember when Robin Hood used to be swashbuckling fun? You don't need to try make EVERYTHING look like Christopher Nolan made it, Hollywood.
praise the days of costners hair and slaters grimyness. prince of thieves forever!
This actually looks more like Kingsman than it does anything like Nolan has ever made.
Couldnt agree with you more you nailed snd perfectly described what i was trying to find the words to. For those that dont get it, the tone is dark, serious, based in some kind of serious realism. As if you were modernizing something old.

Lmao this looks realistic? DC movies warped your minds.

Is no one going to comment on their clothing?????? NO ONE!!!!!! I could pick up all their outfits at urban outfitters!!! So modern. Ew! The clothing helps put you in that era. Fire the costume director.
Topaz Nora love how everyone is wearing brown and black clothing primarily. No pretty medieval red or blue dyed clothing here. Might as well make them covered in shit.
They probably did it on purpose. This has more of a fantasy action vibe, than an actual historical epic
Topaz Nora definitely. Zero detail in those costumes

My thought exactly
Did you go to the screening for it? It’s literally all I could focus on the entire movie. It’s terrible
I didn't know Lionsgate was such a large company... they apparently employ over 12000 people - judging by the upvotes
Lots of Mechanical Turk workers enjoyed it, it earned them a few cents.

seriously, like were there even explosions back in those times?
HOOOOOOOOOOORSEEEEEEE
Robin Hood movies are like beating a dead horse!

AnimalsAndReports. Unless they make one very well written, incorporating the legend into actual authentic backstory and locations of the time, with all good English actors (no some people having accents and not others when they all would in real life). With authentic costuming, towns and dwellings, and weaponry. To my knowledge this has never been done.
David Cavill. And that is the reason I have foregone the movie theater for streaming, where they seem to do some crucial things better than today's Hollywood. I grew up in an era before franchises created to make money, and I still have standards I guess. I like to immerse into films while watching, and not be distracted by minimalist writing covered up by bad CGI action and images. I feel sorry for this dumbing down of the younger generation. And I'm really disappointed at the look of this film.
AnimalsAndReports thats hollywood pretty much. Remakes of fairy tales or what not.
Patti, fucking agree, also we could avoid the "very skilled black guy who somehow ended up in medieval england" trope for once
AnimalsAndReports they all mean nothing after Kostner
I’d like to see a movie about guy Fawkes, that’d be good, I don’t know why that hasn’t been done(correct me if I’m wrong).
Without seeing this movie I can’t judge it but I think it was made to be visually exciting as the story has been remade quite a few times. I hope it’s good cause I liked kingsman
Actually it's kinda weird I can't think of a movie about guy Fawkes you'd think there would be by now!
V for vendetta. And gunpowder. Guy fawlks based movies.
There has been at least one directly about Guy Fawkes, albeit it's very nearly 100 years old, and is silent.
I think that Guy Fawkes' problem is that he's not really much of a hero. In fact it would probably be quite hard to make a conventional Hollywood film starring him because in actuality he wasn't very nice, and he was basically a terrorist. V for Vendetta has sterilised his image somewhat, but that's mostly just because people are largely ignorant of the gunpowder plot outside of the UK anyway.
The cinematics, their costumes and the action scenes look more appropriate for a superhero film.
I am even confused whether it's set in the medieval time, modern time or an alternate universe where it's sort of mixed.
It honestly doesn't even look like a Robin Hood film.
Robin Hood, Men in Tights is still my favorite.
Max Baba you forget the Disney film
This is Achoo
@Antuan the guy said Men in Tights was the best, why bring up Disney? I also agree the Men in Tights was by far the best Robin Hood movie and the only one I enjoy rewatching.
J B it was just a joke I was talking about the Disney Robin Hood with the fox
I know what movie you were referring to and it is probably one of the better adaptations tbh, probably better than this thing lol.
Sniff sniff... I smell King Arthur: Legend of The Sword....
Screen Ninja But better
And thats good thing since KA is one of the best movies of the last year
Screen Ninja. THANK YOU!!! I was thinking the exact same thing. 😆😲
Oh dear. More American accents from a time they didn’t exist.
Bet you didn’t say that watching Gladiator
Mate, nobody wants to hear British accents in every medieval-ish movie. Fuck off!
it'd be pretty hard for the actors to speak old English so i guess this is the best they can do
this isn't really set in a specific time period, just a hand wave medieval fantasy
Oh dear, someone who thinks they know more about history than they actually do. Back when "American accents didn't exist" it is now believed that commoners sounded much more like what modern Americans sound like, while the upper class sounded more like modern U.K/British accents. The reality is, they didn't sound exactly like EITHER of those modern accents, so whats the point of complaining about which one a director decides to use? Neither are really correct, despite what you are trying to say here.
That was a teaser? Thats like your girlfriend saying you only get a small tease but she lets you go all the way lol
American accents in medieval England LMFAO
Lawrence Davis the only one time it actually make sence to use Brits to portray a story and they chose urban looking Americans *facepalm*
Donky Kong What are “urban” looking Americans?
Ikr, it looks so bad
Jack McConnell it really does😂
I think that tank that blew up with an arrow is a little more anachronistic than the accents.
So... Which cinematic universe is this movie gonna be part of? 🤔
lionsgate'S ass
Nothing can beat the classic robin hood.
Braveheart is probably more historically accurate than this.
Zerimar Films heck, even the disney animated robin hood is more accurate...
very few facts to the story we have of Robin Hood. what are you two even talking about?
yeshua dot i am not really talking about the robin hood story, but more about details about the middle ages, like clothing, architecture, weaponry, culture etc
Sadly most movies do a poor attempt at "historical accuracy", this one in particular.
that makes more sense to me.
Another bomb in the making. No, I'm not dissing the movie, its just that the VAST majority of these historical blockbusters, with budgets over a 100 million RARELY do well. Often they flop, and this sucks because I want to like it purely because of the cast and fun to be had, but like I said this more than likely won't perform at the box office.
'historical' lol
I've been a Robin Hood fan since I was 5 (32 now) I honestly think this will bomb, looks too commercially.
Won't be nearly as good as Prince of Thieves OR Men In Tights. Doesn't even have a cool title.
It does look better than that last Three Musketeers at least.
Because they focus on style over substance.
Didn't know they had bomber hoodies back then, and sewing machines. Wrong approach for a Robin Hood movie.
I just watched Kevin Costner's "Robin Hood". I was in a "Hood"-ish like mood because of all those good actors, the music, the plot, the characters so that curiosity brought me here... well, what shall I say? Curiosity did not only "kill the cat"....
It seems as if this film has no clue what it wants to be.
641 Studios the thumbnail already looked like the movie was set in modern time but it isn't in the trailer
It isn't even in cinemas yet and it already suffers from an identity crisis
This already not a good sign I think they should cancel this and start from scratch with the script cause this needs more time to work on
Lmao I spit my drink out to this comment
641 Studios
Maybe it's a video game?
They are trying to draw parallels between Robin Hood and today’s Antifa by merging more modern elements into what should be a period piece
641 Studios
It's hard to tell whether it's Robin Hood or a Live Action Green Arrow movie taking place in the past
I feel like Hollywood just gets bored sometimes and let their drunk ideas go forth

More times than the number of tickets it sells opening weekend
Now this was Robin Hood!!!!!:-) best one yet
"ALLL the cliches. ALLL OF THEMMM!!!"
That's how I imagine the boardroom meeting for this film began-and ended. They must have a lot of money to burn, because I think they actually want to lose money and destroy careers.
Daniel West The hilarious thing is that I'm certain this will still make them a profit. It's crap, but for the time being, it's crap that they can still get away with selling.
So Green Arrow finally got a movie? Somebody call Stephen Amell
Flicks And The City Pathetic. Green Arrow is shit!!!
Why? Stephen is awful as Arrow. He is not even main character in his tv show. CW ruined every DC shows by making shit teen soap operas. Felicity and friends
Grobar Jug oh this awful mess again. The comics are all soap operas. Felicity wasn't even on the show when Oliver came back from the dead and his best friend was fucking his ex girlfriend. Yet Felicity makes it a "soap opera." No what makes it a soap was from the beginning with evil fathers, coming back from the dead, having multiple women and sister swapping. I can go on and on and that doesn't even involve Felicity. It's just sour grapes cause y'all didn't get what you wanted. The show is still going on and you're still talking about it so they are doing something right.
Nada Barton How the fuck is Green Arrow shit...lol he's a top 10 DC moneymakers, if u meant Arrow the tv show i 100% agree but if we talkin comics probably one of the best characters ever
Flicks And The City I see where your coming from, but Green Arrow is a copy of Robin Hood rather than the other way round.
Looks very historically accurate, especially the explosions, 20th century costumes, modern architecture and medieval riot police.
KommissarKek Not to mention the tank.
And Jamie Foxx
Jhon Darken Who?

Jhon Darken ok

Are studios legally mandated to produce Robin Hood movies every few years?
yeah kinda like those awful james bond movies.
Actually yes. If a company has a licence for Name and doesn't use it, they lose the licence
+ adam
I am almost certain no one can own the license to something this old. The original stories are public property now. They can add more concepts(e.g. everyone is an animal is owned by Disney) and characters and own those only, not Robin Hood, Maid Marion, the Sheriff or any of those.
just like the awful marvel movies
Is that supposed to be medieval Norman England? The streets are paved better than modern day England lolz
I guess it is a mix of croatian ancient and medieval architecture with some english medieval stuff xD
( it was filmed in Croatia xD )
Modern England is paved? England is modern? da fuc?
Niki91-HR actually most of it was filmed in Budapest... But it looks weird...

But yeah it is a bit weird looking ....
There is fuck all english about it. Certainly nothing Nottingham has been within a nautical mile of this steaming turd.

From Wikipedia:
"Disney will be developing a Robin Hood movie currently titled Nottingham & Hood, with first time screenwriter Brandon Barker writing, and a tone similar to the Pirates of the Caribbean film series."
Probably going to be a spin off or human Robin Hood though.
I dont really care if the actings bad. Ill still watch it just for the action. People need to stop comparing it to the old ones and just think of it like a new movie. Remakes always get way too much shit from oldheads who arent open to new ideas.
well said my friend
Well, that just makes me want to watch that Kevin Costner or Russel Crow movie again.

It was actually a great movie. And King Arthur is an excellent movie too, wtf. I was sceptical about the fantasy and futuristic shit too, with both movies, but once I've got to see them... DAMN they are really really good. Trust me, give it a chance. It may not be the "classic ol' tale of Robin Hood" one but the differences make it so badass and filled with action.
It looks so far removed from the source material, they might as well have made him a different character entirely. And what's with the modern elements in a period setting? Talk about confusing. Think I'll give it a miss. 😕
Molotov Cocktails. Made by Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov, a Russian. And also Vodka didn't exist, either the Soviet Union.
Molotovs are named after him, but were invented by the Finnish to kill invading Soviet forces during the Winter War.
I don't care about source material when it comes to fiction as old as Robin Hood, but I agree the modernity of what is clearly meant to be a period piece conflicts too much to not be distracting. Hollywood execs keeping making the same mistakes.
Are you sure it’s not Oliver Queen and not Robin Hood
Don't think they say it's Vodka. And similar devices had existed in history, e.g. namptha bombs.
What year is this movie supposed to be set in? They say dudes a crusader but then I see a bunch completely conflicting set designs and costuming for the era.
It's almost like they put almost no thought into set design, art, or costuming. I thought for a second it could be a re-imagining in a far future or something (like the 47 Ronin story being retold as Last Knights with Clive Owen), but since they shoehorned it into the post-Crusade era with that bit of dialogue, now I'm just confused.
+David Emerson That would actually be pretty cool- a setting where the world had modernized without the renaissance or invention of gunpowder.
It's almost like it is closer to a piece of fantasy than a period piece and shouldn't be given unnecessary expectations for something it clearly isn't trying to be. Wooooah!
It's almost like Robin Hood is fantasise character
Wismo A 'fantasy character' from a specific period in actual history. Next them should do a new Ben Hur movie...but everyone gets jet packs instead of Chariots!
I feel like this trailer would be a 1000 times better if they didn't show robin hoods face
Certified Idiot exactly they just spoiled the biggest fucking twist about this movie. Literally no reason for me to see it anymore.
My name is Oliver Queen. After five years on a hellish island, I have come home with only one goal: to save my city. But to do that, I can't be the killer I once was. To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else. I must be something else. ---oh wait
Wow, didn't know dc is making Green Arrow a movie.
Looks like you'll be finding this in the $5 movie bin at your local Walmart.....Coming Near You SOON.
I'm going to predict that this movie will flop and this movie will be panned by critics.
Well we did just watch the whole film in a trailer so.....
No!...the far-left, lying liberal media will say that it should be nominated for Best Picture. It so diverse!
You already know when Jamie Fox is in it. He pursued many things but in my opinion I don’t think he was great at anything.
Carlos Castro Jamie Foxx was great in Collateral
No - this sh*T is straight from the maw of the dumbest end of the alt right
A british soldier returns home after a tour in the unjust war at the middle east and finds that the government is corrupt and it's milking citizens with taxes, like cows.
This film has nothing to do with Robin Hood, so if you forget Robin then you can enjoy a good film about a soldier that rebels against the system. Black Hawk Down + Born on the Fourth of July+ Jarhead+The mask of the Zorro+Batman Begins+the dark Knight (sweetened for teenagers).
Now seriously, it is actually entertaining.
Just call Hawkeye.
i agree, if u go by the trailer they made it look to much like a super hero movie!!
green arrow is better
Bob dylan You spelled Hawkeye wrong.
YOUALL WRONG THEY DONT USE THIS TECHNIC AND THEY WILL LOSE VS THIS ARCHER WITHOUT CHANCES
He is free anyway
Ladies and gentlemen, 21st century cinema

Everything has to have Africans in it.
Who would've thought that a movie would come along to make Kevin Costner's Robin Hood look good?
Ya ever see the Russell Crowe one? Cuz even that looks good compared to this dumpster fire.
Everyone says this movie will be a flop when they have no idea that this is possibly the only movie with accurate history on archery. The methods used in the making of this movie are next to godlike, thought to be impossible for decades and yet are 100% real. Seems like most people that call this a mistake would also look up to fake "archers" like Legolas, Katniss Everdeen or Hawkeye, where every technique they use is sub-par.
Oh the archery is accurate? Because everything else isn't..
@@Ktotheane It's a movie, and it'd be stupid to disagree that at least 90% of action based movies are over dramatic and include mostly pointless, petty, generic, cliche scenes left and right, because that's all that gets everyone interested these days, but all I'm saying is at least they put more effort than as to just throw in the same recycled and (realistically) useless techniques that Hollywood has always used. I'm not saying it's a great accurate depiction of history or whatever, I probably won't even see it, but the accuracy on the history of the art itself is truly incredible, perhaps with a better director this movie would be a masterpiece. I'm really hoping future movies that may include archery will learn from this movie, look up Lars Andersen, you'll understand.
Come back russel crowe... all is forgiven
WHY TF DO THEY REVEAL WHO ROBIN HOOD IS IN THE TEASER TRAILER?!?
Vickie Michel yes, I found someone who agrees!
Vickie Michel was thinking the same thing lol trailer showed so much lmao.
How many Robin Hood movies Hollywood want to make?
YouPube I see you everywhere!😂
As many as it takes XD
They haven't made one in decades.
Until someone steals from the 1% and gives it to the 99%.
I’m waiting for Robin in the Hood...where a thief in the ghetto turns good but starts robbing the gangs and giving to those in welfare! #RobinInTheHood
NOTHING, not a damn thing... will compare to ALAN RICKMAN in Kevin Costner's "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" !!!
RIP Alan.
YEAR 1991... those were good time. *Sigh
Let's be fair though, if you can't actually get Alan Rickman, Ben Mendelsohn is guaranteed to at least make something that's not generically vanilla...
Praise Jesus! Amen to that!
Shame about awful Kevin tho
Assassin's Hood: Thief
NAILED IT lmaooo
💀💀💀😂😂😂😂😂
Can't wait to see it on redbox
Exactly. It looks very mediocre.
same here. cept i just saw it lol

You use red box? Ew
GTR Wendy hacked fire stick
What made robin hood good was that he was relatable - a normal guy, but was very good with a bow. Why can't Hollywood realise that when they make the protagonist of these films 'super human/unrealistic', they become completely unrelatable. Robin hood is not a guy diving through the air doing a triple shot. Just another film trying to capitalise on the current over saturated superhero genre
Amen!
Considering he looks exactly like green arrow from the Arrow TV series I'd say your point is definitely valid
To be fair here, Green Arrow was inspired by Robin Hood. If anything that guy stole his looks.
the difference is that arrow has actual soul and heart put into it
Green Arrow (the comic) has, the TV show arrow doesn't really. After season 2 it went so much downhill. Not to mention that the TV show feels as if it is an insult to the comic character.
Two Ways to change this movie
1) He's no longer Robin Hood. He's the Green Arrow.
2) He's no longer Robin Hood. He's a main character Assassin from Assassin's Creed, and when we see him in modern society he's actually infiltrating the Templars and it's an Assassin's Creed film that stays primarily in the past. The semi industrial medieval times is due to the Apple of Eden or some other McGuffin that was used and that he is after.
