- Even after all those profound insights and awakening experiences, there remains this feeling that you are lacking something. Some final step to take, some insight to be had, a self to be lost, some peace to be enjoyed. Here's some guidance to help you move past that and simply live the core insight that you have already had.
With acknowledgements to Sri Ramana Maharshi: "Happiness is the very nature of the Self; happiness and the Self are not different. There is no happiness in any object of the world. We imagine through our ignorance that we derive happiness from objects. When the mind goes out, it experiences misery. Have been a lover of honey for years... as Nisargadatta used to say cultivate a mind of honey.. then it won't be susceptible to every jolt on the road like an old churn of water would be... there is a lovely poem I found at a good friend's house donkey's years ago now.. it is called 'Slow me down Lord'... I modified it to reflect the non dual teaching and committed it to memory. Committing things to memory takes an ownership of them so that over time they become one's own... decorating the inside of the head is important... interior 'de corp' ...there being no monopoly on wisdom. Nisargadatta used the terms 'affectionate detachment' and 'dispassionate aloofness' ... such poetic expressions... the words in themselves conjure up a unburdening of baggage a complete letting go... thank you once again for giving us such a new and enlightening insight into our shared essence... i.e. the love which we all are as Nisargadatta says... not one to go searching for ... just to be it... such a beautiful overwhelmingly feeling... every blessing to you for the gifts you grace us with.
One of Nisargadatta's pointers that I returned to many a times simply said, "Affectionate Awareness is the key." Whatever hole the mind has dug itself into, just that backing off from the obsessive thinking to being aware, detached yet affectionate, brings an immediate calm. Slows the me-ing right down!
I've never had a awakening experience, but this message was just what I needed to hear this week. Thank you 🙏
Well even the "awakening experiences" are overrated! Anything that is dependent on time, is not going to be there to help when needed most. Finding peace in that which comes naturally, from your own identity, that is what matters.
My awakening destroyed me. 20 years later and I’m still seeing it’s nuances unfolding in my life. Thanks for the reflections.
Rarely does anyone get here by the front door. Some crash through the windows, other fall down the chimney! I hope all is well now. Afterall, it is always good to be home.
You must have had a bad kundalini awakening. Normal awakening is beautiful.

I've been studying spirituality for 50 years. Yet some of the language you come up with just seems wonderful to me, even though I've been exposed to the ideas for many years. It's a shame so few people seem to be here to hear/read it. (I always read the transcript) For example, "Plant your feet in this timeless moment called Now.and refuse to move" and "Who is it who wants to impose its will upon Reality? Who has these compulsions and aversions?" I will be astonished if your channel doesn't grow. Keep going!

Do you have any feedback on the narration? Volume, pace, pronunciation, and inflection, etc.
RUclips is a whimsical place with the amount of content and the big channels. What I see is that some of the biggest channels on spirituality are run by people who've made spirituality a career. And the second big category is completely AI generated content! These are the channels where everything from the voice, to the text, the thumbnails and titles is being churned out using AI. It is absurd and funny and tragic at the same time!
So the aim here is just to be as authentic as possible. These videos are not scripted. I just have some key points and structure in mind and speak to it. The kind of lines you quoted just come out spontaneously when the words come from the Heart. And I like to use my own voice because I hope the tone and inflection can pass on the conviction and emotion behind it to the listener.
First of all, thank you so very much for concretely showing the way out. I need exactly your message.
