Thank you, Sam, for creating the BEST PUTTER in the industry! I owned several putters from Ping to Odyssey, treated myself to a Scotty Cameron Phantom X, it was soon replaced by my EvnRoll ER2 which was much better! After hearing about PGA Pro Lucas Glover secret to his success, I tried out the Mezz1 putter! Feel in love with it from the very 1st putt, which went in from 15 ft! I upgraded to the Blue Mezz Max with white Accra graphite shaft. This will be my Gamer for the next few decades! 😂❤
Uh, I'm someone who made literally the exact same comment as the one you're talking about here. That the "Revealer" is mitigated as soon as you lay your hands on the putter. Recently my local Golf Galaxy got the LAB putters in and I spent about 20 minutes with the Link. I am now $500 poorer. I retract my previous wrongheaded comments.
Been playing the Link 1 for about a month now and have logged 10 rounds. I've been tracking my putting stats with Arccos through 61 rounds over two years. 51 rounds with my old putters (Bettinardi & Cameron Phantom 5.5), my putts per round average is 34.6. The last 10 rounds with the Link 1 has been 30.4. Safe to say, I'm sold on the tech and product.
@@labgolf 8'-10' putts have been the biggest gain. I'm sinking close to twice as many as before. Definitely better on 3', but I'll give myself credit, I was good with those before. Great putter overall.
I have just purchased DF3, to add to my LAB arsenal which also comprises the Mezz Max and Link. Unequivocally the lack of torque is a complete game changer for an average golf hack who has struggled consistently finding the right putter / stroke. I have shaved at least 3-5 strokes off each round with LAB putter in my bag.
I just love my DF putter. I save 3 to 4 strokes per round and am now confident of holing out in 2 putts from anywhere on the green. This takes so much pressure off the rest of my game. Keep up the great work.
I’ve owned many other putters Scotty, Ping you name it I’ve owned it. Tried the Mezz1 for about 9 months and fell in love with NO torque! I did trade it in for……the most beautiful putter that works as well as the Mezz1. Link1. Best of both worlds I get the feeling and forgiveness from LAB with the beauty and grace of a blade. Thanks LAB!
I just watched this again and I posted my first RUclips video about my experience with the LAB putters. I also say that in a couple weeks you will notice your stroke getting better because you have eliminated torque! Love the LAB!! Great work Sam!
I just ordered the link 1! My putting stroke i try to manipulate the putter to do exactly what ur putters do in the revealer... ur putters just make it easier and more consistant! LOVE IT!
I use an Axis Rose 1 and love it. I agree with this, my miss was always a push with toe hang and balance. This gives me ht confidence to return the putter face square or close to square so much more often. I think the one barrier with these putters is price as they aren't heavily used on the tour. I bought mine used
I’m a believe in this thing. I win a raffle at a local shop and had a choice between any LAB or any Scotty. So I went to tried them to see what I liked convinced I was leaving with a Newport. The LAB feels completely different. I’ve always had waggles in my putting backstroke the DF3 stroke to completely smooth. I noticed improvement on the course immediately. Now I’m obsessed with figuring this science out which is why I’m here watching all you videos while I commute. I’m wishing I would have had the virtual fitting and some customization.
I've tried the Mezz. 1 a fews months ago and was impressed with the feel and the technology involves in it. Decided to buy it after 1 month of using it I have drop my handicap by a good 5 my take is the putter is one of my best investment I've made in terms of putter. Makes one has the confidence .Good job guys.
That coaches head is in outer space. The putter absolutely works as advertised. Got a mezz1 toward the end of our season in Utah last year, putted great for a week, struggled a bit for the next 1-2 weeks. Once I gave up tryin to control the head it was night and day. I make so many putts from 12ft and closer, it’s crazy. I went from 4.3 index to a 1.5 index since I got my putter and my ball striking hasn’t gained anything stroke wise.
Thanks for sharing that, Dave. The learning curve you described is pretty normal because golfers have to unlearn some of the compensations that are required for putters that have torque. They tend to fade away pretty quickly... and then the magic happens. Cheers to you for sticking with it!
I've finally had the opportunity to try a lab putter and, WOW!!! The putter feels like it swings itself, I felt like I didn't have to work at it, I could just let the putter swing. It was amazing, now I just have to find the money some how.
Love the Story, thanks for sharing...its funny how the AH-HA moment comes when later, when we are in a shower, in bed, eating dinner. That's surrender, that gives the mind the moment to think through and see the other aspects of the problem and derive the "WALLAH" solution...but I digress. LAB Golf best work is the evolution of the Mezz. I am PROUD to have both the DF built by BillP himself back in the days and now, rocking a Mezz.1 putter as my gamer. Its been 7 years of torque-free putting that now, if you give me a standard putter, OMG, I can feel the torque and I hate it. Well done LABGolf, keep up the RUclipss and the putters 🤙🤙🤙
"Fighting the putter" describes my experience of going back to my old putter after using the Mezz- for those that don't believe surely the best remedy is just to try it ?
I just see it simply as this, one less variable that allows you to focus on putting speed and direction, but at the same time we are always looking for something simpler, but here it is and people just ignore, denied, and hate on it.... usually without trying for even 2 weeks to see.
I have had my Mezz Max for about 5 months now (50 games) and my putting has improved materially. Handicap is down 3 strokes and I have lots of confidence. I literally thing I can make everything. Thinking of purchasing the DF 2.1 as a backup putter.
Seeing Erik Anders Lang start to make more putts after going LAB got me interested. Watching the Busta Jack boys bury putts regularly reignited that interest. Now own a DF 2.1 and absolutely love it. Do I putt as well as those boys? Of course not. But, my putts per round stats are falling. It’s awesome.
i tried LAB putters. the putter heads look big to me. now i ask you Sam to try the face-on/side saddle putting stroke and let me know YOUR thoughts. thank you.
I had the DF 2.1 and loved it but still had a huge problem taking the putter back and looking at it. Traded it in and bought a Mezz1 and I love it too.
I bought my online and really love my Mezz1. My friends here in China can see my improvement (less putts) but they cannot get access to the products from LAB because it is not marketed widely here. I know you have a couple of fitters here but it's like 2 pro shops for this vast market. I would love to collaborate with LAB to see how we can increase visibility from here in China.
Presse had it right, can’t believe how much better I’m putting with the bottle opener. Said I’d never…now good luck getting me to give it up. Afraid to even try changing the grip or shaft lol
Sam, I have had a fitting from Scottsdale in the UK. MEZZ Max and Accra shaft. £639 and four weeks build/delivery from the US (on time even though it was over Christmas), I am absolutely delighted. I chose a red leather cover which hasn’t arrived. I can’t find out when this will be available. Please can you advise? Thank you. David
Wonderful video! I was vaguely familiar with your putter through watching "the average golfer" on RUclips. A couple of days ago I spent a good amount of time practicing with the a mezz 1 at a golf galaxy. I loved it! I felt it was effortless and I especially noticed how that it set the ball in motion more aggressively because of how the putter face was ahead of my hands. Ever since trying it, I have been watching a ton of videos on it and am extremely interested. The price is the only thing holding me back now. This particular video answered beautifully a main thought that I had. Thank you for all you do. I believe your product is going to spread like wildfire because word from golfers about made putts travels fast
Sam, Have had my armlock Mezz for a month now and am challenged with the weight leading to trail arm manipulation. Any tips on how to work through this? Have putter board on order but think it will not work that well with my armlock. Shaft awareness has been good for practice but not able to take to course. Quality product just can't make it work yet.
Most fitters believe in your stuff so that tells me all I need to know. When super rich guys who have nothing better to do with their time but play golf at their club and are all of a sudden putting better and all their friends come in to get fitted for the same putter that definitely says something good about LAB Golf.
Could you produce a video that explains the different shaft options, for interested in a Mezz max with an upgraded shaft but also interested in what makes them worth up to a $400 up charge? Thanks
I’m a scratch golfer, I just picked up a df for the first time and I’m blown away, put it up against the mezz and I didn’t even want the df in the bag, but it’s now the gamer…….. I’m a believer. Df is the most superior putter ever made.
Question to LAB: does lie angle balance mean that the putter will be torque-free at the spec’ed lie angle only? For example, if i was fitted to a 69° lie angle, and a friend uses my putter at a 75° lie angle, will it no longer be torque free?
Each putter is built to be lie angle balanced to a specific lie angle, so all putters are built to be torque-free at their requested lie angles. That's why we have to built them by hand one at a time!
Honestly, the putting gurus have thought it thru. If you removed a variable to a problem that the player doesnt know how to mitigate without their tutelage, that they are banking on, and are making bank on, youre actually removing their scheme. Its that simple. The coach you're speaking of found you as competition and didnt want you messing up his good thing. Leaches dont solve problems. They put temporary band aids on them.
@L.A.B. Golf Yeah, scottsdale sold out the day I was going to order from them, managed to get one ordered via a rep friends with my local pro, cannot wait to put it in play!
One way to prove the doubters wrong would be to take someone who’s used a toe-hang putter all their life and put them on a perfectly flat putting mat and measure their start lines’ variance. Then hand them a LAB and measure the same thing.
We get putter fitting screenshots that show this all the time. The thing it doesn't measure, though, is how you're putting 2 weeks or two months later. Because what we find is that the absence of torque has so many positive side effects such as lighter grip pressure and more neutral alignment. The putter itself also usually finds a more consistent plane. So while that first result is important, it's what happens down the road that's matters more. We think the more you use a L.A.B., the better you get.
I picked one up in the PGA tour tour store yesterday almost as a joke because it’s uglier than sin. My jaw about hit the floor when i hit a few putts with it. Needless to say, I’m going to buy that putter today after dreaming about it last night. Lol
As a Mechanical Engineer and golfer (10 hcp), I agree, torque matters. Cannot wait to be fit for your putter!

That's a great idea. They're actually quite similar in terms of stability, with DF 2.1 being a little bit more stable.

Will claw grip work with DF?
Absolutely. The best way to putt is the way that works best.

Obviously torque matters but you're saying your zero torque club fits everyone, sadly life's not that simple.
