  • Penn State University's Jim Schupp talks about his trellised peach system trials that include an intensive renewal effort at the Penn State Fruit Research and Extension Center in Biglerville in September 2021. This V-trellis trial involves cutting a fruiting lateral about 36 inches from the ground on one side of the row and then alternating that cut every few years. Schupp says it produces “good fruiting laterals close to the ground in a pedestrian system.”
