I still have it - with a flash card too. Wario is an excellent game. I love it.
This video is a bit less in-depth than my usual videos. A bit more info is in the blog entry linked to in the video description.
It's all there 3D, 2D - 1080p 720p Videos and photos. Click the link in the video description.
Believe it or not, I haven't tried the 3DS video recording capabilities out. It's not HD and as far as I know, there is no way to export. I'll have to try it out though and see how well it works out. The screen on the 3DS is infinitely better than the on on the Bloggie though.
I'm not blown away with the 3D on my projector. I love the 96" screen, but the 3D adds very little. I aim to upgrade it this year, and will get another 3D 1080p model...but I think I'm a bit over 3D now. It just doesn't add enough to the experience to make it with the effort.
I have the 3D bloggie and I find it a brilliant piece of kit !!!
I have one in 2024 and with the resurgence of 3D using glasses free, with spatial labs laptops and Leia Lume Pads the little 3D Bloggie works really well. It’s a fair criticism of Matt’s about the footage being shaky but if you keep it steady you can get some really good results. The footage also reacts well to being colour graded. I bought a as new condition second one recently in case my well used one packs up!
@@marcus3dm Even after studying countless presentation videos and articles, it is still not entirely clear to me how to review the 3D recordings made with this camera so that they really reproduce it as 3D recordings? What kind of display, glasses, display method, 'equipment' is needed?
@@adamsugataghy3199 you can view the recordings in 3D on the cameras screen which frankly isn't that great and should really only be looked at as a view finder to know what you're filming.
To watch the 3D in good quality you need either a 3DTV, a 3D projector, a 3D laptop or tablet. Alternatively you could watch them with a VR headset. The format is SBS.
@@adamsugataghy3199The bloggie has a 3D screen. But I use my projector that supports 3D dlp. And also Quest 3 VR
I plan on putting something together....eventually.
Hi. I've only just come across your channel and love your videos, fantastic stuff, many thanks for all your hard work! I'm aware I'm very late to the party on this one (3D is now - 2016 - effectively a dead duck in the domestic market ...with VR to follow it into obscurity in a year or two, but that's for another time), but just wanted to add that, having had this camera since around the time you got yours, I really don't agree with your point about the tiny inter-ocular: The closeness of the lenses is brilliant for the type of close-ish snaps most of us take of people - shots which on the (best of the domestic digital 3D cameras in my opinion) Fujifilm W3 just wouldn't work. (Great camera though.) Panasonic also made a 3D camera with a similarly tight lens separation to the Bloggie and it was superior to Sony's in every way (much more expensive too), but I'm still very fond of the little Bloggie.(Which, I realise, I've just described as the worst of the three best known digital 3D cameras that were available: Basically, I have all three - and won't be putting any of them on eBay!) Thanks again for the great videos, all the best.
I have that cemera and it's an extraordinary one! So, I have mine since about 4 years, I use it daily and it stills working great! But, the sole drawback I notice on that camera, it's the bad performance in darkness or dark areas!
The reflection might have had a YNOS logo, but it was definitely my HX100V.
Got one of these the other day because i read somewhere that it has better picture in 3d than the offerings from Fuji which do have the lenses more spaced apart. It wasn't just one opinion either! I saw what you mean about the lack of stabilisation. I will try it with a tripod soon.
Full size tripods do, but given the pocket size of this camera, I'd expect that people would only use a pocket tripod with this, and these would topple over if you tried to mount the camera horizontally on them.
I'll have to look in my new car to see where the ODBII port is. If I do anything like this, it will have to be a WiFi device as I use IOS and for some reasons the Bluetooth stuff is forbidden.
There's also the Fuji and the new Panasonic Lumix....but I understand why you've kept it. I'm always testing new things and since I decided that I wouldn't want to take any more 3D with this camera...it was time to move onto the next thing. I'm going to give homemade 3D a miss from now on. I decided that it restricts the audience and distribution possibilities too much.
Hi. No, what I mean is that there are two methods of free viewing. The cross-eyed method, and the parallel viewing. In this example he uploaded, you can't use the cross-eyed method. You have to use the parallel method.
If you can get a cheap one...the Panasonic DMC-3D1.
I have one of those, but it only has Japanese menus. So, have to be careful not to delete everything. LOL
Doesn’t seem to exist.
o, Techmoan, nice, finally saw a person, who has a 3D projector - I have only 1 question - how good/bad is that thing? so.. compared to normal led/lcd about 55 inches? OK, these are passive glasses... but what about a quality? I read a lot, that passive is worse then active shutter...
It really looks like old blog video, love the retro vibe!
Are you also going to review the 360 degree camera? That one looks very interesting.
You totally got ravaged by bloggies 😂
Thanks for these videos mate. Saved me from the same fate
I don't think it matters allot on how far apart the lenses are, its more of the angle they are set at. I don't really like 3d myself or know much about it but i think the further away the lenses are the smaller the focal point is on the £D if you get what i mean.
2012: WOW, its 3D. 2022:What the hell is 3D?
Sorry, I'm not with you. You mean the subject of the review, or the camera filming it?
I'm watching this in 2024, and it occurred to me it's almost retro already LOL!
Once again, great review! Looking forward to a review of the Bloggie Touch. Keep up the great work!
The box design and the design of the bloggie is is based off of the flip
one can use the cross-eye-technik to view the 3d-footage (well the side by side footage) included in this video
Ive learned how to do the "Magic Eye " cross eyed thing & was able to see the Utube in 3d very fun
You owned the Virtual boy? The angry video game nerd said that this gaming device was terrible. Did you find it terrible too or did you like it?
I so love my 3d projector
God that virtual boy was insane. I had one when I was little and couldn’t go more than 20 mins or if get a migraine
I agree with the review but i still kept the camera & I will tell you why. The only other options are the apitek i2 which does have the lens further apart but the quality of video is terrible. Secondly if you are watching the 3d on a projector, too much depth will make you sick/eye strain. Compared to the 3d movies that you get in the cinema the its on par, shakiness can be fixed with Steadicam eg smootheee & iphone adapter (search on youtube) 10 times cheaper than any decent alternative (TD10)
I bought the fujifilm 3d it's awesome it could have been upgraded tho and improved upon but I love it sad RUclips can't upload real 3d
I love your vids, i fly an RC shock flyer and brought the 808 cam after seeing your reviews, i got the #3 and is currently sitting here waiting to have the firmware update to remove the date, also fitted a fish eye to it!. Im aware of the other two 3d cameras, looking on youtube the video samples seem just as jerky as the bloggie, I think at this price range u get what u pay for. Iv been looking at the 360 lens and the conversion software, i look forward to seeing your review of it.
I wonder if you're at all into vr now
The 3D footage on this video is actually not cross-eyed, but parallel view. That's why you didn't see any 3D effect. :)
The lenses are even closer than on the 3ds! How silly. I'm interested in the 360° bloggie add on. Thanks again
What happened to your hx100v? Or were you just using the first camera (or camcorder) you picked up.
I see this is about 5 years old. Have you tried reviewing these types of cameras with today's gimbles and Smart Phone video stabilizers?
I saw the reflection of the camera you were using and it wasn't the sony hx100v you usually use.
Maybe it's really cheap now since it's five years old.
Now 8
I think I'll give it a pass, thanks for the offer though.
that 360 thing is available for the iphone
I don't want to mod my new car, so I won't be getting one of these.
Kind of looks like a 3D version of the popular Flip and Flip HD video cameras.
Do you have any 2D footage on your blog? Nice review.
I'm kind of surprised that sony made something like streoscope camera when Sony had been produced 3D TV.
Nice! You got Ringo Star to narrate your clip 😀
You should do reviews on mini-tablet pc(s). With the screen size of 6-8 inches.
Could you do a review of some bluetooth enabled OBD II tools from ebay? (They are around $20)
and maybe the Torque app?
Which pocket type 3D camera do you recommend or you have came across? if this is not the good one.
You ca get the gorillapod which is very flexible but if id want a bloggie id go for the touch
Its crazy they put the lenses that close. nonsense
Didnt expect to see Mancehster in this video.
Your footage starting at 4:44 of the 1080p and 720p of the ferris wheel is actually jerky/jumpy/choppy.
You can actually watch the 3d footage in this video. There is an cross eye method. I am wuite used to it by now. I can also say that there was hardly any 3d in the video what so ever XD
Oh and I'm liking it was filmed in my city Manchester lol
Thank you for the review. Very useful.
you can even watch the 3D footage with your own eyes,
when the're side by side and u squint!
lol!^^
make sure it's not on a phone with a screen way too small like 4.0" for example
it's a Mini HDMI Port
Great review. I learned a lot.
I would rather use mobile phone to film in 3d, like HTC Evo 3D or LG Optimus 3D, it's better quality of camer and preview on screen if nothing else.
like your ad and good video
Would this be good for 3d sterestopic photos?
It takes okay photos. The W3 takes better ones, but the video is worse
Hey matt, chinavasion just released a new version of the crocolis hd called xDreme hd. I think you should check it out.
10 years later these are selling used on eBay for $400-$500.
I had a bloggie when I was little, but now it dosen't work. :/
The batteries in these cameras do die and make the camera worthless, making it that you can't access previous filmed videos. But there's good news, the batteries are replaceable. They are Sony's NP70 style. The only issue is you have to take the camera apart to replace it.
Preety nice looking camera,a bit too simpler for my taste but nice looking.I'll wait for the review of the 360, that would be interesting.P.S. Send you a PM hope you respond
You can get the 3D effect just by crossing your eyes with the computer screen a couple feet in front of you. (And yeah the quality of the camera's 3D effect is way too weak.)
Actually your eyes aren't crossing in this instance, they're diverging (similar to looking at Magic Eye hidden images). If they were crossing the depth would be inverted.
Watching this on 2020
if i sent you an n-gage qd, would you review it and send it back? :P
So you're paying 250 pounds for a Nintendo 3DS camera without the games and with a shitty screen? Sounds like a bad deal, if you ask me.
I'm pretty sure the 3DS does not record (and is not capable of recording) in 1080p30 or 720p60
Thank you شكرا
most tripods flip sideways on top!
YAY, no fish-eye effect!
Pocket 3D - with the 3ds
Could you possibly review a back up camera from Ebay I really am in the market for one but don't want to completely waste my money ass it is hard to come by thank you
Awsome!
I have the standard Bloggie.
Destroyed the video quality by accidently rendering at 15fps 🤢
It's a toy. Get yourself a Fuji W3.
You'll never get proper 3D with a camera where the lenses are so close together. The lenses need to be separated by the same width as the distance between your eyes.
I've been taking stereoscopic photos since 1971. I wouldn't give that camera shelf space.
This is 7 years old chill out
wow sony was ahead very early in the 3d technology
3D*
I recommend you read on parallax before you make anymore claims on optimal lens separation, it doesn't work like you think it works, also you might want to start calling these device stereoscopic, the term "3D" is meaningless
Now Sony asks why they're losing money, blaming the PS3 and so forth. How about taking a harder look at a bad product line misfits.
SOME TIMES PRODUCTS JUST SUCK, DOES NOT MATTER WHO MAKES IT
typical tesco lol
Thanks old Techmoan, I wont buy this camera.
3d Snake oil :))
Fun fact, my first youtube video was shot in 3d on my 3ds
I know that it is parralel view. But when you dont have 3d equipment the cross eyed techniqeu will work just fine. Just look up any 3d video on youtube. ;) ( /watch?v=0U0ZDjnQiXQ )
Also i downloaded the raw footage he took. Teh 3d versoins. There is a very slight hint of 3d. But it is more blurry than actial 3d ;)
Lol no, crosse eye vs parallel means the left and right views are backwards, so the depth would be inverted and look weird if you tried cross viewing it
@@jonathansabinvarietyfilms thanks for teaching the 9 year younger me something ;) XD.
@@meamjustme Anytime 😆 To be honest I said it more for any readers so they don't try it and then give up on 3D lol
@@jonathansabinvarietyfilms I gotten into vr since then. So yeah 🤣
3D has never and will never make it. Always a flop! From 3D 50’s movies to today 💩! 👍
WOW sony just needs to recall the freaking bad product!
