amazing tutorial! thanks ! it's not working for me though, the growing is too big, I follow the steps you mention in the video, but the model I get is way much larger than the ariway. Could you give me a hint? thanks so much for your help!
Fast Marching is provided in "SegmentEditorExtraEffects" extension - install this extension before starting your segmentation. Always check our video descriptions first - we try to answer all common questions there.
@@PerkLabResearch You are right, my bad, will be more diligent. I was able to segment the trachea (with a tracheostomy tube inserted) by painting seeds in three segments : AirOutsideBody, AirInTrachea and AirInLungs and then using the "Grow from seeds" tool to fill in. I couldn't get the "Fast Marching" tool to account for the entire cross-section of the trachea - it consistently rendered the trachea thinner than it actually was.
Segmentation is stores as a binary labelmap. It is automatically converted to a surface mesh for 3D display. You can generate volumetric mesh using Segment Mesher extension.
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing it ¡¡

Why when I click on apply after initializing in the fast marching, the previewed segment disappears and I end up with an empty segment?
I can't seem to find the "Fast marching" effect in 3d Slicer 5.0.3. Any hints on where to find it ? I couldn't find it using the "Module Finder".

Liver segmentation in detail please
Is this airway hollow inside or solid?
