Wildeway X7 has a 400 watt motor and I go about 19.5 mph after chaning the speed limit settings and I weigh 200 pounds and got 36 miles out of mine using throttle only before it died.
Once again, you put together a great video. For those geeks like us (me, anyway) out there who wonder about things like "I wonder what it takes to really kill the battery", I watched with great earnest to see what the mileage you were able to achieve on your throttle only test. I have been anxious to take my X3 on a "max distance" run test, but winter decided to wait until I got my bike to arrive this year here in the north east, so it sits awaiting nicer weather. I am impressed with the speed you got on level 5. I didn't expect to see you get beyond 20-25mph. Oh...raises a question...did/do you override the setting that lets you get to level 9 on the contoller? I would be interested to see if that changes your results. On level 9, pedaling as fast as I can in 8th gear, with just pedal assist, the controller indicated the motor wattage was over 1400 watts...something like 1450. I thought 1400 was the max. Kudos on getting some recognition from Wallke and the team at Tannus...way cool! Too bad those are for 20" wheels, or I'd be photo-bombing you for hopes to win a pair!
Right!?!? We Geeks gotta stick together! The GoPro on my chest disappointed me so thanks for suffering through it. Had a GoPro mounted on the side of the rack but it just got lots of video of my rear end so I spared the viewing public from that. I actually haven't messed with the advanced controls at all so it's still as it came stock. I could be wrong, but I think the PAS settings can be 3,5 or 9. I think they are all the same except for the increments. So 3 gives you slow, medium and fast. While 9 gives 9 increments slow to fast. So I should set mine to 3 so I don't have to hit the buttons 5 times lol. You got me wondering about wattage. I need to pay more attention to that to see where mine goes. Send me a cool pic of your bike anyway! I'm gonna do a slideshow video of ya'lls pics. Yeah, I was really surprised that those companies recognized such a small channel. I was a fan before but seeing how they are so cool to even us little guys is Epic.
@@TheE-LightenedArtist I was looking at the manual, and noted that percentage of assist could be tweaked per level setting as well. I am going to definitely play around and see what I can adjust. Something I have noticed with my bike is that there seems to be times when the motor isn't kicking in on pedal assist on the lower settings. On several occasions I have had to up the assist setting to a higher level (like from 3 to 7) before the motor kicked in. This seems to happen on hills when I downshift a few gears. I will send some pictures your way soon...I have a couple of more accessories coming, so I'll get those on before I take some.
Yeah you can tinker with how fast each setting will go. Dial it in to your terrain. And yeah every now and then it’ll lag going from throttle to pas. All of my bikes with cadence sensors have done that. I just hit the throttle again for a sec then it gets right . I wonder if that sensor gets dirty…I’ll take a look next time I ride. Looking forward to the pics!
Thanks. I was having a hard time that day with the wind and didn’t have as much an understanding of these bikes and cameras I do now.. when I do these videos, I’m actually learning with ya. Cheers!
I wonder how I would fairly do a round-the-block. I think I'd have to go around in one direction and then the next in the opposite direction. I live on a big hill so going one way or the other would give it extra or take away on miles.
Give it a shot and let us know. I’m going to test it on my next camping trip on a massive hill climb. More of a torque test than range. It’s so hard to get hard, factual results due to so many variables between riders and conditions but it’s fun trying.
this one is an Uno that I got at the bike shop. These bikes have standard size steering stems (28mil) but beefy handle bars. (31mil) So lots of options out there.

It’s rated for 350lbs and they’re usually conservative with those numbers. You’d definitely want to upgrade the saddle, pedals and grips. They’re kind of petite. The bike itself is nice and beefy though. With that much weight I’d consider some kind of flat prevention on any bike you get. Cheers!
I run the Raceface Ride pedals on all my bikes. They’re around $40. I love the wide footprint and the molded cleats give the perfect amount of grip without tearing up the soles of your shoes.
Same as a regular bike. I ride along the blvd as long as I’m not impeding traffic. If it’s heavy traffic I stay on the sidewalk or shoulder. When I’m in a downtown area, (35mph and lower) I ride in the street just like if I were on a motorcycle. I’m sure there’ll be regulation in the near future as more people are riding. Idaho is very Libertarian like that. Cops dont care if you’re not being dangerous or causing a problem
Yeah there’s an mph setting. The PAS levels do that too. They’re usually set at 5 levels from the factory. So if you set it to 3 it will do about 20. All depends on your circumstances. Weight and terrain. It’s real easy to dial in. Just gotta play with it and adjust to your liking. Can all be done on the fly.

I'll be doing an Armour install on the H6 next. Gotta spread the word about that Insurance!

@TheE-LightenedArtist I don't know the grade of the hill out front but you lose sight of small cars for just an instant when looking down.
Make a video I wanna see!
@TheE-LightenedArtist I plan to. It should be here fairly soon. Coming off the boat soon pending the long weekend.
Nice experiment! Keep fresh!
Thanks Felix!
I've seen others with this bike get worse range. I wanted this bike too. So sad.
Can u pedal it and ride as a regular bike if the battery die?
Yes. Updating the rear cassette to a 34t would make it a lot easier if you’re riding in a hilly area.
Which stem did you replace the original with?

does this bike have all the checkmarks for both a new/ and heavy rider(285-290lbs)

@TheE-LightenedArtist Thanks for info. Can u set max speed to 20 mph on the X3 like the trailer stated for the H6?
