Ihad a boss in the mid 80s. He was a partner in the office and I was a junior. He used to ask me to stay late and offer to drive me home as he lived near me. He woud after hours int the car, put his hand on my leg and say his wife didnt understand him. Nothing further ever happened, but i felt I could not report him, looked for a new job and left
@Norman-j7m well done you, not only were you not offended by this woman taking you in hand, you are also oblivious to the actual point being discussed
Hey! I'm 54. My dog (10 years old ) has developed separation anxiety post Covid after always being around people for 2 years. I'm happy to leave him alone for four hours at a time while I go to work. My neighbours, who work shifts are far from happy about it. We live in terraced houses. If I leave him alone for so much as one hour, my neighbours will bang on my front door minutes after I get home. I'm extremely lucky to be able to work from home some days and pay for doggy day care for the rest. But not everyone else is that lucky.
His defence was similar to the three skys sports news guys. it’s only offensive to certain women of a certain age and sexuality. Sky sacked all three.,
Interesting why they highlight these reality television issues. All very convenient to distract people's minds from Britain's complicity in what's happening in Gaza. Predictable that Keir Starmer had to wade in. Classic 'look over there' example.
Not imposing an opinion on anyone else but as a male nurse I have had older adults make a common about me, I find this quite funny but can understand how this can cause a problem for someone
My peers (we're in our 50's) would call him a 'Carry On 'character. Really dated (fine, we will all be that eventually), but truthfully also makes women feel REALLY awkward. When you are told that's not acceptable why would you want to defend it? ICK. Does he know or care it's 2024, not 1974??? For women it's AVOID AVOID AVOID. Thanks for being so eloquent about this James. Thumbs up!
Anyone in their 50s were children when carry on films were aired. Most of the "jokes" would have gone over their heads, only getting them in adulthood.
Very difficult to take people like Kirsty Wark seriously. She interviewed a Palestinian man who had lost six members of his family. There was minimal sympathy from her. She's not exactly a paragon of virtue.
what? what worse things did he do? and if you remember, Schofield was taken off tv and vilified by everyone. It's better to speak with facts instead of whataboutery.

Sorry to hear that. I suspect most women have a similar story.

Didn't you suggest to go around his house and have a word with his wife to help her understand him😜

I feel sorry for the neighbours

It's almost a non-apology apology: "I'm sorry you were offended." If true, it's a shame, as I quite liked him as a presenter.
A lot of people liked Saville as a presenter.
@@susanplatt5331 True. I am not defending him in any way. Just expressing disappointment.
unwanted or inappropriate they ARE the same
Why don't these women pipe up at the time of these alleged incidents
We are all judging before we know the facts. Mind you he hasn’t done himself any favours
And the men who listen to sexiest jokes and dont challenge it because they would feel fearful of being ostracised.

Gregg Wallace comes across as a sleeze.

Blame it on Brexit

His worst offence was being on that mind-numbing cooking programme...
Go get them TRUMP MAGA
It is important when travelling through Europe to tell people there that Brexit was thought up in London, proposed, negotiated and instigated there.
Ironic then that London voted to remain, like most of the city regions.

Where was the moral outrage when Schofield did far worse things. He was celebrated by the likes of lbc and o Brien

Which show did JOB praise what Schofield did?
And herein lie the thought police
I bet James doesn't have any women troubles they wouldn't look at him twice😊
