Thank you so much Casey! I'm a bus driver and I've been in fingers lake so many time, but every thing I knew it's Watkins Glen Marks restaurant and the Marks boat on Seneca lake! Today I came to the Fingers Lake first time with my family.

Please do!There are so many cool things to do in sea in the area. And I try to stay up to date personally to help my guests get the most out of their vacation. Wildlife Eco tourism is an example. And of course I'll make you an amazing breakfast!
I am from Potter New York. My home town is in the finger lakes. When me and my brothers and sisters and parents would send the hot days of summer at Keuka lake and camping all over the finger lakes. We would go to the windmill to get fresh fruit and vegetables and baked goods from the Amish and Mennonite. I'm a Mennonite and my brothers and sisters are Mennonite too so was my dad.
Finally! Some really worthwhile local info on the wining and dining in the area! Can't wait to check it all out next time I'm there.

I happen to be visiting various places in upstate NY (am in New Paltz now until Aug 31). If still ok, I’ll reach out via text in an attempt to connect more directly. Soaring rental costs and availability are pretty prohibitive, unless one is wealthy, so my scope of possibility is narrowed in that regard.

I'm visiting this area next week. Is there any particular town or city I should check out in the Finger Lakes area? I'll be coming from Rochester NY.
On top of the lake restaurant has good food and On top of the lake is in Penn Yan NY. That is way my husband ask me to marry him. Penn Yan NY for places to go and do like Keuka lake and Keuka tails and the windmill and more.

Submarines no however I'm from the area went to school in romulus and ovid and my father was a gaurd on that big old grey barge in the middle of the lake no he never told me what exactly they all did out there but one thing he did tell me is that they did submarine sonar testing on the barge

The house I grew up in was part of the underground railroad. None of it was really underground. There was a secret Room in my house where slaves dressed up as women would hide on their journey to Canada.
How does one get around when visiting wineries? You can't drive???
Are a lot of these places in walking distance from each other?
not really. but well within 30 minutes of driving from the Spiral Stair Inn. Could be biking distance :)
