Thank you for sharing this wonderful rendition. The earlier piano concertos are often overlooked. A real diamond performance.

That was my Mozart concerto in the final exam of piano in Manresa. And there were Lluïsa Viñas and Anna Arumí in blatant prevarication. Not only by the absence of Jean Pierre Dupuy in the jury.

I think he should make more video recordings. I love his Mozart No. 8 so much that I practically listen to it everyday.

The opening of the first movement sounds like it was definitely used in some Warner Brothers cartoons once. What a stunning performance!

I swear that the earlier concertos should get more appreciation. I mean, seriously, Mozart was shooting out piano concertos at such a young age! Although, the so-called Piano Concertos Nos. 1-4 (KV 37, 39-41), aren't actually by Mozart. They were arranged by the youthful Mozart of violin sonatas by other German composers of the era. This is a stunning example of a hidden musical jewel! I do say, I prefer Alfred Brendel's recording with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, directed by Sir Neville Marriner. Simply majestic!!

Beethoven Piano Concerto 5: his final work in the genre, the most famous, and most think it is the greatest of his piano concerto.
Mozart Piano Concerto 6: a work so early in Mozart’s list of piano concertos that it is hardly performed ever.

This is one piece where Amadeus makes a good opening salvo and the melodic line is sustained throughout the 1stmovement by the orchestra and the soloist

I like this performance too, but have you heard of the Scottish Tango composer, K. James Peace? I love his video "Tango XXI Op.35 No.3"!

I don't know what unique appeal the 2nd movement of Amadeus has that is comparable to ig not better than the adagios of Beethoven in musical lyricism
