    Darn it Mr W!!
After an extended Sat Night Flight with you, Laxxor & the gang, I was going to turn in (SILLY LATE) - THEN..... I saw this - & watched the lot (is it really worth turning in now....?).
Excellent bit of vid - and I'll confirm, along with @RebelNine, that you have done EXTRAORDINARILY well. A natural. The Spit is lovely to fly - BUT - on the ground.......😱
    Well done sir!
Catch u in the skies on our next sortie! TTFN. (Maybe the NAAFI before I turn in - are they open at 04:45....?)

That was entertaining! I've had DCS for ages. Best flight model and systems model I know. I have P-51D, BF-109, F-86 Sabre, FW-190, Mig-21 and hawk. In the blender section I had huey, mi-8 and gazelle.
Destroyed dozens of 109s trying to take off. Used to fly for fun and do aerobatics etc. Probably never fired a single shot in dcs. Did tons of sorties. Always got shot down. Now that I think of it, I've never landed a plane in my life!
Jokes aside, P-51D and the huey still my favorites. Haven't touched dcs for years. Maybe I should dig up the joystick again.

Hi Risto, hope all is well, it would be great to have a fellow iRacer join some sorties 😁 I’m really enjoying it, am focusing attention on the Spitfire for the moment, recalling a lesson learnt from sim racing not to jump between cars whilst learning the sim itself.
I’m due to get TrackIR this weekend, so am hoping that will make the look around a bit easier, I’m also looking forward to testing it with sim racing.
I should be back on Global Fanatec Challenge this week, hopefully see you in those rear view mirrors 😉

New to DCS and clearly enjoying it; which is the main thing. 😎
Spitfire is def a bit ‘tricky’ to land as unlike in real life, you cannot ‘feel’ the accelerations on the aircraft.
However a couple of points that may help…
    1. ‘Straight In’ approach for landing is the least preferred way.
    2. Good landings don’t just happen. Rather, they are the consequence of a good, stable approach
Took me many tries, and much practice, to be able to land the Spitfire ‘reasonably’ well. 🤣
Here is a link to a video I made of one of my better landings in my DCS Spitfire. It may, possibly, be of some use for you as you learn🤷🏻‍♂ 🤣

Just watched the video, that landing looked brilliant to me. Much more controlled than me, you prepared for the landing much earlier. I’m only a week into DCS so am learning both the sim and Spitfire at the same time. Whilst I’ve dabbled with flight ‘games’ this my first ‘sim’ experience. A friend @bill1949wt has been a great help!!

@@IanWitham27 Only a week into DCS! Then, sir, you’re doing much better than I did. The Spit was my first DCS plane; I think it took me a week just to figure how to get it airborne 😱🤷🏻‍♂😂
