Grew up listening to Squeeze, but never realized until I watched this show how solid of a drummer Gilson is. Especially on this song and Footprints. Right in the pocket, and sounds awesome.
Such happy memories of this tune! When our 3 boys were young, we used to do the most ridiculous head wobble thing to the guitar riff (at the time I had an ‘80s poodle perm) and the 5 of us would giggle and wobble with joy. Now we have two granddaughters, one of life’s biggest joys is to watch their dads reduce them to fits of giggles through utterly silly fun... we watch, and think maybe we did an ok job after all 😊xxx
Love Squeeze Glenn singing, writing with Difford, Jools on piano. Nothing to complain about. Love the songs and playing. Elvis and Glenn as well. Great pop band. The song writing will hold up for as long as our western civilization does.. The songs capture a snap shot, but also a way we touch each other and don't.
I saw them live at the University of Maryland with the Flock of Seagulls and I was excited to see two great bands but the place was an echo chamber like a tin can so every note canceled itself out. It was the worst concert with 2 of the best bands I ever saw
Its a crime that they weren't as big as Elvis Costello, and Joe Jackson. According to the book Hit Maker 1977 thru 1980 was the weakest time in music history. EC and JJ were scrubs in my opinion. Looking back that was a weak overall time.
I LOVE THIS BAND SINCE 1980!!!!!
Only 38k views ? that's a crime!
SO few people with impeccable taste.
this is the best rock video on tape in the 20th century, easy

One of the best bands EVER!
That's one of the best Squeeze performances I've seen. Hopefully there are others from this same day. Glenn is really on fire!
Glenn lights my fire.
I was There !
Great singing by Glenn.
Perfection! Glenn's voice is so beautiful. He sings with a smile.
When Glenn sings, his breath sounds like it's minty fresh and clean.
most underrated brit band ever

These guys are great, under rated and this song is exceptional
These guys really knew how to write good songs.
Great live band. They just get better and better.
favorite squeeze song
I was 1 years old when this happened....
My favourite song of all time and my favourite version of it ever!!
Great song and band.
the most under estimated band of all time
That might be Ween, but... pretty close.
Mark Severini I agree
Mark Severini I thing you mean "understated band of all time"
I say that as well. They had such a fun style and clever songs
@@raviscott4853 under rated😉
The voice from Heaven
This song should have been #1 in american for 20 weeks
how had this only got 4000 views and lady gaga gets 20 million. thats fucked!!
Ripping up Daytona SQUEEZE 🐌🐌🐌🐌 💯🎯👍 AMAZING in AMERICA ! WOW 🤩
Love Squeeze

The songs capture a snap shot, but also a way we touch each other and don't.
Saw them 16 times in many formats but Gilson was the best drummer they had.
My favorite!
That was SOOOO good! Thanks Thomas!
I was at this Spring Break, but I wouldn't become a big Squeeze fan until 1 year later.
A thought came to mind...Squeeze are Britain's Crowded House (or vice versa)......magical music.
ive thought this for years .two sides of the same coin and no one else i ever mention it to gets it
You are so very right. Let this comment gleam through the ages 😅🌟🌟🌟
Superb stuff - love Gilson as well on the drums, typically excellent performance.
What a brilliant song, played & sung totally live, 605 views to date and no other coments!
Thank goodness time has upped those numbers and comments. Peeps are slowy waking up to the genius of Difford and Tilbrook.
I named a club in NJ USA QUINTESENCE after them
Ultra COOL
Mind boggling how good this is and so few views!
when daytona was the spring break destination.
On fire all of em brilliant
great live band seen them numerous times
Awesome upload......
squeeze is awesome
Great concert. Remember like it was yesterday..Jools did alright for himself after leaving band twice..
Sublime!!😀
How many groups are this good live?
So close to the studio track.
Always 100%. Tighter than a ducks arris.
i think they might have enjoyed this gig......
Sure looks like it. Sure do wish I was there
How could Gilson keep from getting distracted by that cameraman in his face?
You know land management is one of my funds babe.
Maybe I'll get a permission for Doris?
Nice 👍
Great band, great song, but strange pick for spring break at Daytona Beach…
I’d say they surpassed all estimations.
AM I THE ONLY PERSON COMMENTATING ON THIS JAM?
Did the drummer ever back P J Harvey? the dress
What event was this?
SQEEZEEEEEE
They barely show Chris Difford or Jools Holland.
who doesn't want drinks for everyone, i feel like they're being disingenuous
I saw them live at the University of Maryland with the Flock of Seagulls and I was excited to see two great bands but the place was an echo chamber like a tin can so every note canceled itself out. It was the worst concert with 2 of the best bands I ever saw
Glenn Tillbrook wins.
Its a crime that they weren't as big as Elvis Costello, and Joe Jackson. According to the book Hit Maker 1977 thru 1980 was the weakest time in music history. EC and JJ were scrubs in my opinion. Looking back that was a weak overall time.
nessieg23 Why would I click read more you just made my point Moran. Now go back to taking it in the ass loser ha haaaaaaaaaa
***** Yes I'm the man
The lead singer is great but simply no charisma, a plain and ordinary look!!
