as a laptop user, Edge is a god send, it sips the battery unlike Fire Fox, Chrome and Opera to some extent which eats the battery in chunks. Also Edge can run any Chromium based extension, I was for the longest time torn between Brave and Edge, but Edge won me over with the read aloud feature. The only thing Edge is lacking at is video pop out, which only works on YT natively. Edge is very underrated and hated because it's a meme to hate on it
I think that Vivaldi presents itself as Google Chrome by default in order to blend in with the rest of the Internet and be much harder to fingerprint. That's likely why they have those unique identifiers. Could be something worse though, I don't know.
I am user of Vivaldi for 4 years and there are some problems i detected. Sometimes is released new version, which have problems and it take few days before it's fixed. Last problem i remember was fullscreen window little overlap to second monitor and it took more than week to be fixed. Sometimes I find out that youtube ads are no skipped, so blocking is working not as intended. Over time it used to be fixed, and overtime the same problem come back again. Sometimes some parts of web doesnt work correctly. I think it is happening because Vivaldi is blocking ads and some features (especially JS parts) are fake recognized as ads. But still it's best web browser for me. Only alternative i would think as replacement is Mcs Edge, because of AI features. It's also fast and good performence. But before u even configure it, by default, there are so many disctraction elements. And yea, it's developed by Microsoft, which i like, but let's not be naive.

Have tried almost all the other options (apart from Zen n Arc) and no single browser was able to replace the features that Vivaldi ships out of the box for me. Firefox for me would be the next replacement if I have to pick one with good privacy and descent customization options, plugin ecosystem, but the tab management sucks and it seems FF is still stuck in 2000s,.

been using vivaldi for well over 3 years and it has been *phenominal* , especially when they added workspaces a while back, very nice, very fast (i had 178 tabs open and just then did it start slowing down heavily, nowadays 30 tabs or less and it runs like a dream) very customizable, and it just looks good. Now Arc on the other hand....it's quite the disappointment for Windows users; most -if not all the features that make it THE Arc browser are missing from Windows, development has slowed to a crawl (some are even saying they ditched it entirely) and it basically ended up being a bog-standard ,fancy chromium browser.
Went from chrome to arc to zen and now brave. Like it a lot, i wish zen to have folder like arc, but the issue with them that sometimes i dont know how many tabs i have open, so brave here to stay but love the layout and workspaces
Brave is fast?! There are so many complaints out there that Brave is slow. Mine is slow to open any page that Chrome opens instantly. In fact, I am watching your vid to find a replacement for Brave because it is so annoying. Brave is exceptionally SLOW. Do not start - it is not due to hardware, video card, traffic, OS, moon cycles, blood pressure etc. The same page in different browsers opens differently and Brave is the last to open. Garbage. It changed midway in 2024. They must have updated something poorly.
will never understand why people worry so much about privacy (mostly all the firefox fanboys) but then they make an account on youtube which is linked to google
Top 1 for mobile is Brave because there is adblocker and ability to go on mobile youtube with adblocker without getting send to mobile application of youtube itself. Also there is ability to play content even if you have locked your phone, that is, in the background, that is, you have no restrictions on sites where you cannot do this., and widevine extension available so you might get web version of spotify to work with adblocker (but it didn't worked for me for some reason) . Top 2 is Firefox because there is extensions support included (not all of them) for example uBlock origin & Sponsorblock
Vivaldi is garbage! It doesn’t stay consistent, always adding useless widgets and messes with your UI, and when you finally had enough and uninstall you won’t be able to unless you for whatever have left Edge on your system. Thats right, if you uninstall Edge you have to reinfect your PC to uninstall Vivaldi! Avoid at all costs.
Guys, if your looking for a review that focuses on features, then this video is not for you. If you care about a tier list that focuses on Privacy then this is the video for you.
If we are using an Android phone then there is no point in using a privacy focused browser. We are not going to get all that privacy. I use a Pixel phone (by google - cough cough). But I also have Vivaldi, Brave, Firefox and Edge. I go to Brave and Firefox time to time but I always go back to google chrome. It simply works and makes the UX better between my PC and Pixel phone.
I actually find Privacy focused/FoSS Apps to be better/more functional (mostly for being Ads-free) Firefox Android and Kiwi is only browser with extension, and I don't use Google service that much, I only use Drive for pirating movies, so Chrome isn't that useful for me DuckDuckGo has a cool name and "!" to search over things, VLC is as good as MX Player but without Ads and their streaming Service, LocalSend is just amazing and is better than Zapya and ShareIt, no ads, ZArchiver is just faster, Obsidian is way better than default Notes app,
Pixel phones have privacy issues cuz it's made by google. Most other android phones do not have that issue. If you care about your privacy that much you can install a custom os.
@@Boeing-747-maxIf you can, you can unlock the bootloader and install GrapheneOS. I don't cuz I'm a rooted user and like being able to run the latest android beta. Also, google has enough of my data that I don't really care all that much.
I disagree on Chrome, while it is technically "closed source" and not privacy respecting, it is not much different from the main Chromium project, which is open source and gives life to more than half of the browsers you've listed. Both Chrome and Firefox are definitely A tier browsers in that respect. They're the original open source projects. No matter how good they are, I would put Arc, Edge, and Vivaldi to F tier though, they take an open source project and doesn't give back to the community.
@Diogo85 the thing is he is shitting on a feature that is not available on the other browsers and he is basing his opinion on the whole browser based on minor feature which is not bread-and-butter, typical usage of browser. Don't you see an issue? It is gone to the point that if Opera wouldn't have free VPN it would have higher score, because usage of it is minor con in his opinion 🙈
Well, which one is THE BEST for YOU? Let me know in the comments!👇🧡
What's the best browser for android ?
Having S23 Ultra but I really find chrome old ... if you know what I mean
I like Vivaldi, Firefox and Brave
Try mozilla or brave they both are really good
I use Zen as my main browser; haven't had any issues/crashes yet. I like your list!

Edge lack of extensions? You do realize that it CAN use extensions from the chrome extension store along with it's default store...
I think that Vivaldi presents itself as Google Chrome by default in order to blend in with the rest of the Internet and be much harder to fingerprint. That's likely why they have those unique identifiers. Could be something worse though, I don't know.
Vivaldi definitely deserves the S tier

Yes, Edge is super fast.
9:19 Final list
I love you
Brave has the best search results.
ive been testing all browser for a year now and vivaldi is the best, then firefox then brave. this is a good tierlist
Edge deserves to be F-Tier just for how bad Microsoft shoves it down your throat.
I heavily disagree.
oh hell nawh, I use Zen and its literally something else of a experience... Zen Mods are literal blessing... Easily A tier (S for me)
absolutely
Yes, true. Zen is amazing and it's especially good for students with multitasking and pinned tabs
Why does it matter? It's his opinion.
@Diogo85 But I disagree, do I not have right to?
In 2025, for me, any browser that has workspaces, side panels, or split views is in the "S" tier. Anything else isn't even worth downloading.
Vivaldi is so nice it just uses so much ram 😭
A warning to you!
Vivaldi has no backup your data but only sync two devices! So use at risk!
I'm an outlier here, I use Firefox as my main browser, but also use Falkon and Midori on Linux and Midori on Android.

kinda sucks that for now the vivaldi ad blocker doesn't work on youtube but its still on of my most favorite web browsers out there lol.
And some popular browsers are missing. Mostly Firefox based browser . Like Librewolf
Zen is easily S
it's full of bugs currently and is not compatible as chromium based browsers. You only like it cuz its a new toy to fiddle with.

It's still in alpha, so I'd wait with that until it has the "1.0" stable release.

@Diogo85 yes? Who else?
Safari on Mac, Brave on Mobile
anyone using Floorp? vivaldi but gecko
Brave. Period.
