Well I decided that my next phone and my wife's next phone will be a Samsung. Due to budget we are looking at the A35. The A55 is the one to get if you can afford it but if I'm buying 2 phones at the same time, it's going to be too expensive. Even buying 2 x A35 will be expensive enough, if we can save up. But even if money wasn't a problem, these devices are so close that it may actually be better value for anyone to get the A35 What I would have liked to see is wireless charging on these new models instead of a metal frame. It's just a matter of adding a charging coil, which costs a few cents on China, so it would have really set these phones apart in the market.
Unfortunately, both are too big, bulky and heavier than their predecessors, at over 200g each. Also, those who don't like tech devices wrapped in glass (like myself) no longer have a choice. And I'm not sure I like the colors either. I think I'll stick to my A34 for now. Thank you for the presentation!
Excellent review! Both these 2 midrange phones are an excellent choice. Please everyone remember that Samsung phone prices are dropping after a few months out on the shelves. The current design i find it insanely elegant, and i don't think that the thicker bezels are a substantial reason to put you off from purchasing the devices. Exynos 1380 has an integrated NPU, so AI assistive computations should be present. When it comes to support, with 4 Android Upgrades and 5 years of security patches (in the mid-range category) i think it's something you don't easily get from other vendors (please correct me if i'm wrong). Very nice devices overall !
@KING-rz7ix exactly! 6.6 is way too big not to mention how bulky this phone is compared to all the previous A series. I am using A51 rn and it's so slim, I need a new phone but the heaviness and length of the A55 are making me hesitant. I really don't care about the "premium feel". Isn't it better when the phone is lighter and fits in your hand? Geez I will need to use both of my hands for this, I didn't get the A54 for that reason and now it is worse.
Tell me which non-flagship priced phone has a Telephoto lens? As far as I know cheapest model to have it is new OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14, both costs in cheapest variant 999€ (Euros). Of course a telephoto camera would be amazing, but why don't any brand add it on their mid priced phones? Wouldn't it be like cutting the tree branch 🌲🪚 which they all sit on? 🤔 Wouldn't their flagship phones become obsolete?

Thanks for the quick video. The price seems a bit high. I think the A55 is a better choice for an overall premium look and feel. Otherwise, A35 is also a good option.
That's a great video you got there with camera comparison etc. but what I'd like to know is how the devices compare sonically. Maybe you can do a video on that exclusively using an SPL meter so we can determine the voice quality differences also as there's a device close to these features introduced a few months ago ie A25 how would that stack up against these 2 in that department? Acoustics do matter to me greatly and last years A54 was disappointingly inferior in that department compared to A34 so a side by side comparison would be great.
Never mind the quality, feel the width is what you advocate. More specs, faster, more pixels doesn't always mean better. What about OS upgrades, security updates, warranty etc. If the manufacturer doesn't care about you the customer, then specs don't matter. Buy a lower-spec phone from a reputable manufacturer who will support it for longer. Being seduced by specs is easily done, but is a mistake. Build quality in the long run is also important, although some people buy a new phone every year, so perhaps what i write doesn't matter. But these people are superficial, and have more money than sense.
