2:04 I haven't had any issues with the virtual proximity sensor on my A54. It's the best proximity sensor I've ever had. Your ridiculous example is exactly how I want it to behave. I don't want it to trigger whenever some random object gets close and it's laying on a table. That was SO annoying on my old phone with a hardware proximity sensor. Now I can finally listen to WhatsApp voice messages in peace while moving and doing stuff with my other hands while holding the phone and moving it around. I love virtual proximity sensors. It is a pro of this phone to me.
I have the samsung a35 5g and it's really great it never lags runs games perfectly.The camera is really great the finger print scanner is snappy and the charging is really fast.My dad has the a54 and I think that my phone is better because he's a54 lags a little bit but it's still usable.In conclusion both phones are great but there are some better variants for the money

Im having massive issues with the heat and battery. I finally got a new phone after using my S10 since 2019 and that thing was basically at its end with battery not lasting an hour and the phone because so hot it hurt my hands. I thought it was time for a new phone but also nothing too crazy price wise so i went with the A35. Tell me why the heat is still a problem and the battery might as well have been the same??? This is atrocious. 5 years late purchase and the issues i had remained with a completely new one

So what do you think, should i go for the a35, my used cases will mostly be social media and camera and occasional light gaming.
A54 is a decent phone for average use . If you do some legit optimizations then there isn't any lag . I got it for a almost the same cost as a a35 here in India and so far it has worked well .
This model has a huge limitation! Does not accept external usb -C DAC connected like Shanking UA4. something related with "too much power consumption"... So if you are a music afficionate you should avoid these new models of Samsung like A35 or A55

The proximity sensor doesn't work properly in A53,A34,A54, and now on A35, also. Samsung isn't in the mood to fix it. They are concentrating more heads on making profits.

I have the A35 and A54 along with a Pixel 6a and 3a.Videos and still images from both Pixels are sharper and of higher resolution, holding more detail and their night shots are a big jump up from the A35/54. The A54 is a solid phone and a good choice if on a budget. The A54 with the past two software upgrades made a nice improvement in all areas, including the camera. The Pixel phones are both a step up with speaker quality and certainly camera output on stills and video are great. The Pixel 8a will be miles ahead all the way around. DXO camera scores rate the Samsung A35 at 104 vs the A54 at 107 and the Pixel 6a at 122 and the 8a at 136. All scores are a combo of stills and video with still even higher numbers. For the average user, the budget Samsung's will do fine, but if you want a step up, the Pixels are great.

galaxy A55 for all rounder. better camera and software. OS update up to android 18. has powerfull customize app like good lock (for UI) and sound assistant (audio tweak). Poco F6 for gaming. but if you're not into gaming, just buy samsung or pixel. smartphone is more than just performance and numbers. except you really need that faster charging. redmi 13pro+ stay away from that, curved screen is uncomfortable for many people. and the screen protector is hard to find.
Yes. You will get 120Hz screen instead of 90Hz screen, the phone is built stronger and better, the phone will be much faster. Screen and battery will be the same but A15 has bigger borders. A35 looks nicer.

S22 plus it's a much much much better phone in any way other than the battery, which is a bit smaller, the SD card if you still uses it, and the fact that will be updated for 3 years instead of 5, but probably be usable for 5 to 7 years anyway. The S22 plus will have better cameras, much more powerful processor, better screen, better choice for accessories like good cases, better speakers, better everything else actually.

I would say that the A35 is probably better now just because of the 1 Extra Year of Updates and if you are looking for a tiny bigger display.
