Far from a powder only ski in my opinion. It’s great in powder for sure but it is just magic how the Pescado can turn really difficult offpist snow into enjoyment. I use it mostly for touring and the difference in how you enjoy the downhill compared to a stiff 95mm tip rockered carbon touring ski is mind blowing.
I feel like my Pescados would not hold be back from anything when it comes to powder skiing and they are extremely playful. I have to add that they are quite soft and light to, so they work great for me weighing in at 66kg. If you're on the heavier side, you might wanna get something stiffer for big hits.
Hey guys, curious what you think if i put a touring binding binding like ATK 15 on it? Theyre like really wide to fit in a casual touring path. I want something wide and floaty to put a touring binding on. Also thought about the nocta
I think any tour binding would work well on the Pescado. It's pretty light, so it's a tradeoff with the width. Nocta is great, just takes the weight to the next level. SE
I have a shift on mine and use it as a pow day resort and low angle tour ski when it's deep and avy danger is high. The most fun ski for both those conditions. They actually hold up after the powder is chopped up and carve surprisingly well on groomers. Much more versatile than you'd think and never been on a more fun ski in it's element, deep untracked pow.

I have a frame on mine and it’s an awesome heavy touring/resort pow ski best ski ever

I put a Fritschi Tecton on my Pescados and it is seriously the best pow ski I've tried.
