Yes, you need a very low setting -so you can add warmed milk, use warmed water around the jars, and wrap a few towels around a slow-cooker and accomplish the same thing. You can use a dehydrator, or the breadproof setting if your oven has one. You can also use warmed milk and culture wrap it really well and stash it in your ( off) microwave overnight too. There are many ways to accoplish this without extra dirty dishes. 😉

If I am just starting out, do I need a grocery bought Greek yogurt? From the video it seems you mixed the milk with yogurt you had already made
You will need a few spoonfuls of a starter yogurt for each batch - either your own or store purchased
