Great video! You can reuse the rectifier and capacitor from the CFL just add a AC capacitor in series over the input like in the video. Then you can add inductor or resistor in series or 47uF+ capacitor in parallel with the LED for extra efficiency. I would avoid the plastic circle since it blocks airflow and overheating is the biggest issue in led lamps. Also diagonally opposing screws give a better thermal bond, maybe some thermal paste 😬

Circuit diagram is differ from the video. In video Diode and Capacitor attached to the Diode Bridge Rectifier output terminals. But in circuit they are not.
You have used 10K ohms and 47 ohms resistance in video , but in circuit you have used 1Mega ohms and 50 ohms resistance. 1 mega ohms resistance is ok correct it in video.. Thanks
on whole its a very good idea but, the glue behind the plate gets melted up when the bulb will be used longer,there should an alternative in the place of GLue

If *I* was doing it, *I* would probably not put my voice in there either. I would put more detailed written descriptions though. I looked at the circuit he linked to and it appears to just be a full bridge rectifier with a voltage divider via two resistors.

CFL lamps bring a high voltage circuit inside. Did you remove that circuit? Or is connected directly to the home network.

Thanks for sharing. But could you give a detailed diagram? I would use two screws for the led plate than glueing it up. The glue may melt.

He did not apply thermal paste between heat sink plate and COB LED. Without proper thermal conductivity, that LED could soon fail.
