I thought it was interesting that the woman talked about paying attention to her mother walking so she didn’t see where she was walking, yet she walked ahead of her mother and didn’t even support her in any way. Yeah, I would have told her I’m not the one you need to talk to, go call this other person.
I slid on some rocks that were on the downhill sidewalk yesterday. At no point did i ever think "gee, I better sue someone" All I thought was "gee, I'd better be more careful"
Here in Florida I would have ~immediately~ referred her to the property manager and told her not to contact you/the store any way, shape or form. I've got a very menial income bc I can't handle BS unnecessary stress such as this! Glad you're hanging in there... 😉👍

If she was paying so much attention to her mother that she wasn't paying attention to where she was going then why was her "mother" walking several feet behind her? When a new property manager is hired, it is usually because they have solictated the owners. One thing they promise to do is audit the books and go after uncollected fees and rents. He wasn’t that nice a guy. If the landlord went up on rents it was at the property managers advice.
It sounds like she was trying to scam you. They would not be running all of those tests. Maybe 2-3 tests and that's it. I fell over a month ago on a sidewalk and I would think its the same no matter where you are. Accidents happen and I would never go after a company if I fall. Glad she could not do anything.

So she hit her head and she has a concussion but she can walk her butt back inside the store and wait until your manager gets a hold of you and then she spends probably a good 10-20 mins talking to you on the phone about what happened? Uuummm..ok?? 🙄 And she wasnt even paying attention to her mom she was like speed racer in front of her mom trying to get back to the car. Too Funny! I'd be like, "Here is the property management companies number, bye now!"

I’m sorry this happened to you. My guess is that she just wanted to let someone know so that if she has to pursue anything with the landlord or property management company that she told someone right after it happened. I tripped and fell and broke my hand on some concrete on the street where there was a 3 inch rise, and I made sure to call the city to let them know what happened. It was just so that a lot of time would not go by and should there need to be some proof that it happened, having told someone is a better option than not to have been done that. It does not necessarily mean that she was trying to scam anyone Or try to sue anyone. ETA - I just finished watching, and now I know she was trying to get money from you. That changes my thoughts about it.

I've been working in the grocery store business off and on since the 80s and the one thing that we learned was that if you see anything on the ground pick it up if there's water on the ground make sure to clean it up right away because customers will purposely try to slip and fall so they can sue and get money and they also said never say I'm sorry when someone falls because then you are accepting blame
I no longer loan out tools ladders, anything somebody could hurt themselves with to Neighbors, there's only a couple I deem trustworthy... no more machetes.. I suggest they could pick up one at Harbor Freight inexpensively...
It’s all how it gets litigated if it comes to that. If the situation was created by the tenant, the landlord probably isn’t liable. Not saying that’s the case here, just saying tenants are not absolved of liability just cause it’s not their property.
Lindey as difficult as that week was look at the life lessons you were given and be grateful that it all worked out......as it usually does. If I were you I would do my best to dwell on all the positives in your life and not the negatives. My husband fell and hurt his knee and had to wait a month to get an MRI!!!!!! It does not take much to get hurt. I missed a step and had a shred fracture in my ankle. I had pins and steel in my ankle. Yes the owner should be responsible.
Demons come in packs. When you are strong, thriving & happy (and can kick hard))) they feel it and stay far far away from you, but when you are stumbling in life that is when these suckers always come into your life one after another. The main quiestion about that april week was why ... why God given all this to you, only you know the answer ps yes she would of lost in court, even on this footage you can see that she triped AFTER the uneven part, almost in the coner, lawyers told her that and more etc 8:18 you can see that clearly on this video, also if she was so worried about her mother why she was walking 1st and never turned to see her
