13:33 Great to see you back Bob. Always liked your videos, as they just demonstrate cars for us ordinary people; stuff that we might actually buy. Anyway this Megane E-Tech does look really good, and it’s not just another SUV, which is great for me personally because I can’t stand SUVs. This just looks like a decent conventional car, which just happens to be electric. Along with perhaps the Cupra Born, it looks like a car I could see myself buying, and it has proper switches for the HVAC as well, which is a major plus factor for me as well.

Just don't buy a Tesla. Almost all other EV's can have their battery pack refurbished for a fraction of the cost of completely replacing it....... Tesla make it extremely difficult to refurb their battery pack. Any decent dealer selling used EV's should be able to carry out a SOH (state of health) check on the battery, and give you the reading of - in percentage terms - the state of the battery. Normal battery degradation runs at 2 to 3% per year....

Can you not turn off the wireless charging. Not every phone has wireless charging either so no heat. VW has been putting cloth in car doors for years so you mean Merc and BMW? Might choose a brighter interior trim. Darkened rear windows add to the rear gloom.Doubt the bigger battery cost will mean no gov VRT grant as likely over €50K. Considering Irelands low distances for 99% of commuters and our high fuel costs, the current electric cost is ideal commuter cost. We tried incentives for LPG and it never worked even just refueling. Renault has taken a big risk with its competitor for the Ford Focus type car being EV only.

Plus the fact that as Bob mentioned, there is next to no hydrogen infrastructure. And I can't imagine town and city planners, along with the Health & Safety police, allowing the placement of large tanks full of hydrogen - stored at 10'000 psi - anywhere near housing or workplaces. It's just not going to happen. I never could see the point in using massive amounts of electricity to produce hydrogen, to then use a fuel cell in a car to convert it BACK into electricity at a *loss* Plus once you've got your hydrogen, it still needs to be transported everywhere before it can be used or sold. Given that a hydrogen powered car uses an electric motor to drive the wheels, why not skip the inefficient hydrogen production process and the transportation, and just charge the battery in an electric car in the first place?
