Do the bindings move and slide while you ride?
My rental at Park City Canyons Resort was a 2023 Burton Custom (154) with Cartel bindings. This was after a 3 day storm, so a lot of choppy snow. Despite that, I had a blast with it. Awesome edge hold for carving on the blues. I went through a lot of choppy snow with mix of moguls and it handled fine. Since it's cambered, I really needed extra effort to get it to turn on the steeps. A lot of pop compared to my usual hybrid board.
Just bought a 154 custom camber for my first board can’t wait to try it out!
I just picked up the Flying V with Genesis EST bindings. Can't wait to ride it!
Ask any rider… Burton lover or not, the custom is one of the best all around snowboards in the game… been around years, barely changed… any purest rider will love the custom 🤙
Absolutely. Check out the endeavor live. Burton licenses out the channel to endeavor so you know they use good materials cause burton wouldn't put their channels on crappy boards. The Live is basically the same as the custom but me and my buddies think its a tad better in every way. Was a sad day when I accepted that because the custom has been my board of choice but that endeavor live man. Worth a look

My buddy got the Custom and he's heading out to Alaska/Alyeska for a week with it! So jealous.
I found a really good deal on a ‘22 custom Flying V and I thought I’d give it a try. It’s not at all my favorite board but for being a hybrid rocker/camber it’s more comfortable to ride than my NS proto-slinger with the shockwave profile. I also have an older custom camber than I absolutely love to thrash around. Thanks for the video JB, probably going to pick up another custom camber in the next few years when I really like the graphic 🤙🏻

I’ve been riding customs for the last 20 years. Never any problems or issues. Solid all around quiver killer!

Thank you for the review! Could you help me choose the right size?
I decided to go for the custom because even if my riding style is more playful I want a board which I can use the next years and grow into it. I mainly drive piste with a lot of freestyle (180/360, side hits, butters). My hight is 172 cm and weight because of working out relatively high with around 80 kg. I consider everything from 150 to 156cm. I know that the shorter ones are easier for butters and spins but would lead to less stability while carving or less pop. Maybe a 154 is the best right in the middle?

I absolutely love my custom. I haven't ridden a lot of boards but the custom is my fave. Ski Doc has last years custom x if you wanted to check that out.
Do the bindings slip and move while you ride?
@@owenjohnston3541 They have because I didn't tighten the bolts down. I've learned to tighten them every other day I ride.

@Owen Johnston I should be more clear. The bindings don't slip. It's the channel system on burton snowboards that you gotta tighten up every now and then because it's only 2 screws. Same issue with any binding.

A lot of this depends on the type of bindings because not every binding size is the same. You might fit in a Burton L but a Union XL so just look at the bindings recommended boot size for the bindings. As for the board same thing. Burton will have a size chart for you on the size so you know exactly what size to get. Make sure you get the camber custom. I don’t want to give you the wrong information if that makes sense.
Hi guys, a view from France where ee have liw mountains in ymassif Central, dry and steep one like in Pyrenees and maybe the best spot in the world:Alps. I am riding snowboard since i am 13 years, learnt with olates and skinshies in the time. I had a lit if different boards. My best are still my 1995 Burton Twin 153 and my actual Burton Custom Camber from 2022. Took 2 one in 158 for rqndom days and a 162w for pow days. If you uave technic and kevel nothing beats these boards, out of park as all mountains. I tried Ride, i tried Gnu, i tried Rome... Well, to buy ine board for ine soecific day is ok. But for overall, now, the Burton Custom still rocks.

What is your binding angles for this board?
On my camber 162 W for freeride, I used 15 degrees front and 12 back, to keep an old style directional riding on red or black slopes. Then I changed in 5 on front and neutral in back. And also make the stance in your body. So I reduced tension on legs and improved my back pressure on turns, I use Burton Cartel for line base and DC Control shoes. On my shorter Burton Custom Camber 155 2023, I use same fixations, just I set my distance 2 cms more front to have a true twin
And more soft ride on slope with friends and family

Find a cheap used board. Once you fall in love with the sport and become more experienced then drop the big bucks on a new one
for beginner get a short junior board like 130cm, you will learn quickly the basics and build confidence. If you get a big full size board it will be very hard to learn and you might hate it.
It would be awesome if you could do a review of the Burton Process Flying V

The Custom is a great board and I agree with everything in your review but I got absolutely wrecked riding this in powder. I have the Hometown Hero and a Prior pow board which I would highly recommend over the Custom if you're planning to ride the deep stuff. At this point I'm looking to sell my Custom so I can upgrade (?) to a Custom X. Hopefully you get to ride the Custom X and drop a review on it bc the current ones are absolute trash (except for the one from the board asylum but he's just going over the specs and nothing more).

Is the kid Custom small good for a woman 148cm tall 43kg? Or its better to get a woman board??
My gf who is 160cm and 59kg got custom smalls and she is perfectly fine with it. However note that custom smalls is not full camber. It is a hybrid.
