I can agree though. The gen 8 is soo tough. I have never ran into any problems. The only thing I broke is the of the drive-cups in one of the portal boxes. But it was easy to fit, and I have never had a problem since.
They definitely did a great job upping their game and providing many options. The Gen 7 sold like hotcakes for ANY new comer to tiny trucks. Terrific gap market filler that was needed. So many new comers bought that Gen 7 and did very well in comps for a beginner. The Gen8 and Axe are such a massive step up and they're doing a terrific job of listening to critiques from their buyers and actually making those changes in real time. Hell, I bought a Gen7 and a Gen8 JUST so I could say I had them.
omg i have a trx 4 and am blown away by how convenient the gen 8 really is where as traxxas make you buy all these bits the gen 8 gives it to you out the box 👍
Love this, I’m thinking of doing a different body for mine and having a go at doing a rusty beat up faded look, this may be the one. Does anyone know if you can buy light buckets for this body?
Nice job, always great work and great videos! Option instead of cutting the bed for shock towers is put a Cantilever kit on it. Have one on one of my gen8’s with a Redcat LC70 Killerbody, redcat sells there own LC70 killerbody as well so if your looking that route there you go. Cantilever also works amazing on it as well.
Yes, an aftermarket cantilever kit is certainly an option. What we're showing here with the Pro-Line body options are install tips that require as few additional purchases as possible. Make sure you tag Redcat when showing off that Gen8 LC70 build, sounds awesome!
Redcat Racing you should talk to the team at Redcat a produce or badge one and call it your own for a cantilever kit??? I’d buy one just because 2 of my Gen8 builds I only put nothing but Redcat’s upgrades for them. So I’d buy a couple sets for sure. Something for you folks to think about cause I’m a huge supporter of Redcat Racing!!!😍
Do you mean holes to mount the original body? Or an after market body? The stock body does not mount with posts. If you are running an aftermarket body you just need the body posts and make holes in the body to mount it to the posts.
Redcat Racing really did do a good job with the Gen 8. Can anybody agree? BTW great video Redcat
Tyler Richardson couldn’t agree with you more, best rc made and I have enough I can say that with all the back to say I have the proof!
Thank you! So happy we can help you enjoy your hobby!
@@RedcatracingAZ Thanks! You are the heart of my hobby. I get spares from you, Rc's, and upgrade parts from ya.

Nice Job Greg!!
Can you do proline tacoma on the gen 8 video
When shortening wheel base did you have problems with geometry, like panhard bar, drive shaft ?
Will this work on the v2 of the gen 8 ?

Or if you’d rather cut the body you could put the gen8 Axe Edition shock tower brace to keep flex out

Excellent job!
What wheels would fit on my red cat gen 8
Can this body be used with the proline rear cage like you did with the f250? Thanks
Probably
@@RedcatracingAZ Such a helpful answer 🤣
i have the gen 8 axe i dont have holes for front posts what do i need to buy

The stock body does not mount with posts.
If you are running an aftermarket body you just need the body posts and make holes in the body to mount it to the posts.
Is this the same for the Everest Gen 7 version?
No the body posts are different. And the Gen7 PRO body is actually mounted to it's roll cage.
@@RedcatracingAZ TY for the response
Does this body fit on redcat gen7?
Hey redcat can i do this to my gen 7 sport
Of course. Anything is possible.
