Very sad that they have been so disorganized with making this.
Think Marvel had their grip too tight on this. Only 3 things you need.
1) Writer who understands supernatural, Marvel history and how to write a character who’s a person of color.
2) Director who understands pacing, martial arts choreography and knows how to partner with a good choreography.
3) Make the movie rated R. Nobody wants see half ass action in a vampire hunting movie. It’ll make a bigger impact and be better for the greater marvel Brand.

The raw energy of that club scene with Blade slaying them all to that throbbing techno baseline was a crazy thrill in the theater. I don't think they can replicate the magic of Blade 1 and 2 without Wesley, a hard R rating, and a badass director like those two had. #3 was a parody. But the first two were magic and are classics.

They should've never brought it to anyone’s attention back when they did in the first place. They should have just put it all together, then let us know that it was ready & it was going to be released. All these years of dragging it out, delaying it, hiring & firing all of these writers, and all of the other BS is just pissing everyone off. Even Wesley Snipes is tired of all the drama, he could have done 2 or 3 more Blade movies since Mahershaala Ali was announced.

Have heard rumors for months/years that Feige and others at disney want the movie to center on Blade's daughter and a few other female characters but the directors and actor playing Blade want the Blade character to be the most important character in the film. Supposedly original drafts had Blade needing to be saved by his daughter during most of the movie but eventually he would be killed off and his daughter would take his place in future films.
Making a movie about a guy killing vampires shouldn't be this hard.
Donnie yen appeared in some of the blade movies is also known for directing, could definitely help with the choreography and pacing of the movie, rather than a million cuts that marvel seem to keep pushing in their films.. would love to see a reboot but any remake or rebrand of a franchise always seems to fall short so I hope they keep delaying it for the right reasons.
They should have dude that directed “The Raid” movies direct this new Blade movie… Give it that raw, shocking violence that definitely the first Raid had…

So, a movie about vampires, guns and a vampire killer is the most delayed film in Marvel history. But we got a Captain Marvel sequel, a tv show about Echo, a character no one has ever cared about and an Eternals movie that had 156 characters nobody cared about. These guys have gotten actually bad at making movies and it’s sad. There are several dozen grown adults who are millionaires who make these bad decisions over and over again and have lost a literal billion dollars. People have died for less and these guys can’t make a movie about a guy with a sword who cuts and shoots vampires. It’s been like 50 of these movies already made, I don’t understand these humans.

It would be cool to see Wesley as a variant, but he is too old to play Blade for a decade or longer period of time. This delay pretty much is the nail in the coffin for any hopes that Snipes will be able to pull off a Blade version who doesn’t look way to old.

My theory is the violence of what Vampires DO & ARE is colliding with the Studio's need to make everything as paletteable to the widest possible audience.

If this was going to be a standalone film, which probably should've been, I think it would've been a far easier movie to make. The original Blade trilogy didn't have to fit in a universe other than its own. And as Marvel adds more characters, the story scope becomes almost impossible to manage. Unlike comicbooks, movies are exponentially more risky financially. I think it may get to the point of, "Do we need each character in the connected universe?". A great standalone Blade film would work for me.
Just bring back Snipes.. He can still pull it off..

I'm curious what the deal breakers have been with these past scripts. I've assumed at least one of these instances was because the plans for the MCU changed so much that the the core story just couldn't work anymore. But, all that said, when Doctor Strange movies rely more on tchotchkes than lore, mood, portent, and actor gravitas, it becomes harder to see how they'd fit Blade into all this. Especially with Moon Knight doing the "supernatural brawler" thing as much as the original Blade movies did. Obviously, most of us would be fine with more than one supernatural brawler, but they still need sufficient distinction from one another, while identifying how they could comprise a team.
How are you curious its clear as day. Script written where Blade is secondary character or tertiary behind the big bad. Wanting the spot light more on the female characters as blade is not good enough for them on its own, instead of the protagonist everyone wants to go see in Blade they emphasize at Disney a Weakened Male character that's goofy, needs female character depth help(Thor)(Guardian of the galaxy - Star-lord) is in all things not acceptable to go Strong Male lead whos hetero, they have turned every leading male strong character that didn't require help into a goofball and killed of the strong leads ie Captain America/Iron Man. Tying multiple worlds into one movie, when those other worlds have not been enriched enough to put into the plots yet. Marvel Previously spent time bring each character its own world in their own movie, then brought them together seamlessly, they want to thrust multiple characters into a script most people have no love for. Not everyone saw Moon knight or even know who he is from the comics. Not everyone knows who the dark knight with ebony blade is its an obscure character, that if he had a bit more growth in the last movie except for some credit scene perhaps might work. There's only so much story telling on a capable script that doesn't leave you dizzy or feeling crammed you can pull of in 180 minutes of run time. Marsala is probably eye rolling his way into a stroke every time he reads a script.

The original Blade movies are martial arts movies disguised as horror films. They were effective in a time when martial arts films were just starting to fade out of popularity. There's no room for them in the MCU.

It’s actually challenging for everyone to adapt to new Blade movie, with Wesley Snipes is original actor of Character, it’s how movies in stories. The most of different decisions are having troubles with directors, people can’t find anything how stories are going to take place in levels. Both actors and actresses in figuring different supporting with situations for movie.

Just wanted to point out that in comics Blade may be strongly tied to vampires and also hunting them but something often forgotten is that due to his hybrid genes he's immune to other undead ailments as such he hunts a lot more than vampires

The problem is that Marvel wants to make the script fit-in with whatever they have planned, but the more tine passes, the more its clear Blade just needs to be a simple vampire hunter movie. He doesn't need to be connected to the rest of the MCU just to be connected. If it doesn't make sense, then just let Blade be its own thing and tie him later whenever Marvel goes into the more horror/dark side of the MCU.

at this point, they should just shelf the whole thing and get their house in order, get it, house in order cause of house of the dragon season 2 starting this week. ali, is very close to walking away from the whole thing cause he doesn't like what's in the scripts being wrote. which i don't blame him considering the major disasters the mcu have been putting out there lately. the biggest problem is they put out too much, too fast and did things on characters no one really wanted or asked for. quantummania was such a mess and then, the whole thing with majors just really threw everything planned into limbo and let's not forget how shooting and writing all got thrown off by the strikes. it's just gotten to a point where even Lando would say, "This deal just keeps getting worse all the time."

The real reason is they don’t want to make a Blade movie about Blade! They really want it to be about his daughter which is a new character and tbh is kinda lame. If they did want it to truly make a Blade movie it’s easy- blade kills vampires, maybe Dracula to make it have more purpose.

I think the problem is explaining how vampires have always been there but yet we’ve never seen or even heard reports of them.
I hope Mia Goth is still in it when it finally comes out, she’s incredible in the X trilogy.
