    Lord, please help my unbelief.

O dear God, sovereign and holy, you showed us mercy. This struck me and brought me to tears as I thought of Christ bearing the knife not being stayed from his body. He did this for us. O, what a love beyond measure. Thank you, merciful, glorious God. Ashamed of our sins, clinging to you with all might and faith. My Lord and Savior, my King!!

I WISHED deeply that I would have sat under this man. What a literal FEAST......he lays out the precious truths of God like a Caterer for a wedding of a Sheiks daughter. Makes me even more hungry for more Dr. SPROUL teachings.❤ PRAISE THE LAMB WHO WAS SLAIN❣️‼️

Wow, just wow. This is a wonderful illustration by Dr. Sproul. His speech, mannerisms, emotion, passion, intellect, deep reflection and knowledge of Scripture masterfully and stunningly puts this story in its proper persepctive, ultimately pointing to and glorifying God by showing us the depth of Christ's sacrifice and the depth of the Father not sparing His only son, as well as showing how Christ is the ram, the substitute, who is very clearly seen in the OT (God is always the same and gives the same gospel (true and faithful) and extremely gracious).

I believe we will all be tested in many ways in the end times which we are in now. God will test our faithfulness. And he will use anything that we have put above him. The question is will we be able to walk away when we have to, from things that we love, to put god once again first.

It would have been nice if Dr. Sproul here also tied in Hebrews 11:17-19 to the narrative as the New Testament commentary on this episode.

Jesus always points us to God because we must know them both:
The *most* important thing Jesus said is that the Father is the only true God (John 17:3). Jesus said all who say ‘Lord, Lord’ to him will not enter Heaven, but those who do God's will (Matthew 7:21-23). He said he who hears my words and believes on Him that sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come to condemnation; but is passed from death to life (John 5:24). He said he came to do the will of his Father and to finish his work (John 4:34). He said he does nothing of his own authority (John 5:30). Jesus prayed to the *Father* saying, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth” (Matthew 11:25-27). He said those of him will know if he speaks of himself, or whether he speaks on God's behalf (John 7:16-18).
Why did Jesus always point us to the Father? Because we must know them both-that is life eternal.

If I had been Abraham when God told me to take my son and sacrifice him I would have said okay and then I would have yelled hey Ishmael come here! lol 😂
    I’m just kidding.
