Using Proteome Discoverer to Interrogate your Data

2024 Introduction to Biophysical Techniques
The LMB Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility houses a wide range of mass spectrometers enabling biological proteomics and structural proteomics. Biological proteomics involves the identification of proteins and their interactions and the comparative proteomics of cells and tissues. In structural proteomics purified proteins or their complexes are investigated by hydrogen-deuterium exchange or cross-linking mass spectrometry.
In this video, Cat preforms a live demo of how the software program Proteome Discoverer can be used on mass spectrometry data. She illustrates this with three different types of projects: gel band analysis; immunoprecipitation analysis; and a TNT dataset.
