Little late but the noise from k5 was the power steering and the jimmy probably needed the cable from the vacuum actuator to the front diff. Or possibly a new vacuum hose to the actuator which is under the battery. I had a 97 jimmy and had to replace the cable because the battery corroded it making it freeze up and stop working. Any s10 blazer s15 or jimmy will fit. They used the same setup the on the first and second gen stuff. 83ish -2001
Ropes with hooks are tow ropes, not recovery ropes. If you were to hit that hard and break something, hooks become projectiles. Always use straps or ropes with loops for recovering
