    Your K5 is one of my favorite builds. Not overdone and pretty much what I'm wanting to do with my '89. I first came across you on IG and follow you there as well.

    Nice truck man, love it. i also have a 89 with a 4" lift and looking to get bilstein shocks. just not sure what ones i need. 5100? thanks.

      Thank you. I don’t know with your set up. I have the 12” long travel on mine and 5125 in the rear. You could call off-road design and they can point you in the right direction.

      I used the off-road design extended brake lines. Steel braided lines. Very nice quality.

    Just found your channel. Have you wheeled it at all? Any additional rubbing issues when on the trails? Very Clean blazer. I may try to build our 87 GMC Jimmy wiht similar components.

      I have not wheeled it at all. It’s a fun cruiser and pavement princess. I don’t have any rubbing. But I’m pretty sure if you take it off road it will rub like crazy. But overall it’s a smooth riding k5

    Does the red top gear box & xj help with steering drift ? my 84 drifts like crazy

      It does help a lot. Definitely check all your steering links. Ball joints and tie rod ends. But I did drive a buddy’s k10 with crossover steering and it’s night and day. Mine does well really nothing to complain about. But that crossover is where it’s at.

    Where did you get your slip yoke eliminator? Is the stock tranfer case or you swapped to other transfer!!!

    Nice K5. How are the RPMs on the highway with 4.56 gears ? Have them in mine still under construction plan on 38s but have 350 tranny 3 speed

      Love them with the OD. I don’t have a rpm gauge but if I had to guess. At 70 mph in over driving sounds like 2500-2700 rpms that’s my best guess.

    How much was the Tom woods shaft and SYE? Would love to do this with my 91 k5

      It was right under 800 bucks. I believe they had a price increase since I purchased mine. Worth every penny for a smooth ride.

    If you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take you to get it road worthy, body work and all? I ask because I just replaced the whole rocker and cab corner on the driver side and a small section on the passenger side, spent Saturday and Sunday doing that. Little by little I’m getting there

      Not a problem, the whole project took 6 months to complete. I had to patch a few spots of rust in the Pilar’s. Tailgate had a bad spot in the middle. I also did high build primer and block sanded the entire truck 2 times. Took the roof to bare metal. Learned a lot along the way.

      It’s an off-road design custo spring pack in the front with 12” long travel bilstein. Rear is 4” shackle flip with 5125 bilstein shocks. Sitting on 35/13.50/15

      I custom made them out of 4” flat steel. I utilized the factory holes for the steel.

      @@armygreenfj3924 I also made custom brackets for it out of 1x1/4 flat bar. Drilled new holes in the floor. And used 4” flat bar underneath as a washer.

      I built my own bracket from 4x3x3/8 steel flat bar. Used the factory inter front seat bolt hole to line it all up. Drilled 3 new holes for the other brackets. Used the same steel bar underneath to make it solid.

      I have not done crossover steering. I do have a red head gear box, xj steering shaft. Also have a completely rebuilt front end with off-road design steering brace. I don’t have any steering issues.

      I’m not sure to be honest. I’m running 35 with no rub with 5 1/2 lift

      I did, along with the double cardan driveshaft. Cruse at 70 with no vibrations.

      @@205_bowties will check your pictures out on IG. I wish I knew how to weld or there was a computer out there to make brackets for the front. I put 2015 Denali seats in the rear with brackets from Merricks garage. But don’t want to pay 1k for the front ones. Also the leds you went with. All I see are cheap knockoffs on Amazon.
