Just finding this channel. Hits me in the Totalbiscuit feels. Miss that ShoutCraft Kings. Thank you for Keeping the SC1 coming and doing your own tournaments. :~)
long time fan, fartosis. was watching in 2007 when i became a bisu fanboy, and just subbed today. loving the TaekBangLeeSsang replays lately. hope flash comes back in full force. would be awesome. wishing you well in the future. thanks for all you've done.
Would really love to watch a rotating series between mihu, dewalt, szicky, gypsy and such top nonkorean players..oh even better if you name the tourney “Fighting for the title of the Best Non-Korean SC1 player!” Hahahaha
Clicked and realized I watched it already. You pump out so many I was surprised I caught up with you lol. Great job on this channel. I'm sure you'll be chugging along for years to come. I'll get a little behind again and have some more to catch up. Good game though this one.
@@Ardonn we had professionnal korean 2v2 and 3v3, even on fastest map, couple years ago in ASTL, very interesting to see, but maybe not balanced or at least enough studied
Wow, Mihu finally score one by using nice tactics, the siege tank placement was excellent. Even 4-6 really helped at that point. Calm still very strong at this game, killed many science vessels and so on. Very nice marine push there in the early game. Enjoyed this game, thank you Artosis!
Calm's pointlessly greedy opener basically lost him the entire game. I guess he underestimated Mihu and thought he could get away with it, but Mihu is not to be underestimated. The game was over 5 minutes in. Zerg larvae are very precious, especially in the early game where you have very few hatches. Not only that Z lost mining time, but he was forced to spend a ton of larvae on zerglings instead of on drones. At 6:45 when mutas are coming out, Z has 21 drones. Normally Z would have 31-35 drones here with this opener (minor variations depending on reaction to opponent micropushes). Calm's economy was crippled by over 30%. Even 5% is enough to make a difference in high level play, but this is just disastrous. The choice from that point would be either muta all-in or slow transition into lategame. Calm chose not to all-in, hoping his macro would outperform Mihu in the lategame thinking it might be safer than an early muta all-in which is very risky, but Mihu was clever by holding a position that prevented Z from ever taking a 4th, making it so that there is no lategame for Z, pushing on his existing advantage. Mihu mostly played great here, but Calm pretty much gave him the win. If Calm simply started with 2base, he would have mutas out 1 minute earlier with equal or better economy compared to what happened here. One major mistake Mihu made was at 6:00 where he just threw away a ton of units. Actually makes no sense. If he simply kept those units alive he could finish this game much earlier. Mihu scanned the Z bases, he should have seen that Z has almost no drones, which means lots of lings. There was no reason to move out this force. He already damaged Z's economy. Can just chill back till he has a bigger group that can actually fight the lings that he should already know that are there. Honestly at 9:00 Calm would have probably won the game if he had picked the all-in option earlier heh
Great sight to behold seeing those Firebats strut down the map to BBQ Zerg! Would be nice for MiHU to use the rest of his Sci Vessels energy to DMatrix as many Firebats and just A-Move to Victory but the game ended either way 🤣
When 1 defiler gets irradiated, and if you have another defiler close to it..... why not consume the irradiated defiler? ... it's going to die anyways.... . Or a lurker that was irradiated.... you might as well use it for consume. I never see zergs doing that.
the thumpnail spoilers alot of the game for example is showed that the t marine rush will not end the game but that it will be lategame because there is a battlecruiser
Good question. I've seen bats firing from a bunker at zealots on the other side of a rax wall, and the zealots were not taking damage, so I'm not sure what the mechanic is.
@@jrodtopo I think firebats make three explosions similar to lurker spines. But I am not too sure about it. You can see them if you change the graphics of the missle to something visible in EUD editor. It is known that firebats can damage units farther than their range. So the bunker range increase probably just maximises their range.
SPOILER Honestly, I got no idea how Mihu managed take this one. He kept irradiate defilers but immediately sent bio in. Obviously defilers gonna Plague.
Oh gosh, that terrain really siege tanks really need a BIG nerf, it's far too strong, zerg lurkers should have double the HP, as they are very expensive to make.
The tank placement on that ramp was beautiful 🤌
We told RT that mass firebats and medics with optic flare are OP
Rooting for Mihu!
Mihu's map control was on point.

I love firebat! When the firebats emit flames, all my troubles disappear and I reach Nirvana.
Nice game! Mihu was gradually improving his gameplay. I hope he can take the next one as well.
Firebats are a very under-appreciated unit.🔥
Protoss just dominating this tournament

Great game. Very well played by Mihu.
yes mihu!! great series so far
Mass firebats was something i always wanted to see. I also have to ask why you dont cast group games like 2v2 etc?
its not popular and never was, no competitive scene in 2v2 at all and there never was. its also not interesting to watch compared to 1v1
2v2 is more for entertaining than competitive.

We shall never forget the battle of Artosis vs Voidwards when those force fields came down upon those mass roaches while the colossi roasted them.

Crazy stuff - never thought of any of these strategies back when I played on Nintendo 64.
Those firebats... what a great game!

Nice analysis!
Greed gets punished sometimes, he took a gamble and lost.
nice analysis, I approve! Mihu played great after his 6:00 mistake tho, nice pressure and map control I'd say
Thanks
Pretty good movement in the video, but catching myself clicking on the mini map and using arrows.
Mihu leveling up In real time lets goo
That 3 bases opening was way too greedy.
6:20 gnarly
Zerg could sit for a looong time with Dark Swamp🥺. With firebats they died instantly

Wow! That was a Terran swarm for sure.
Outzerging the zerg
Really like seeing chinese terran players, they use units most pro's have discarded as useless. Thanks for upload.
let's gooo. we have a real game now
spoiler:
BC literally takes one shot and the game is won
great game...
what a thumbnail
tosis please
OH YES I LOVE IT !!!
And when Rt didn’t mention “the best non-korean player in the world” haha

Do firebats have increased range inside the bunker?
Do units at all increase their range there or is it just a Starcraft 2 thing?
all units have plus one range, all units that attack...

Gotta keep the pressure on your opponent or Zerg takes map control and you’re dead
He has too many $. It is more important not to let the Zerg slowly push up with DS.
LETS FUCKING GO MIHU CHINA #1
so glad your thumbnails are getting better, i almost banned your sub for how awful they were
Calm ... no gaming as ultralisk ??
😮
And only 3 working bases it was his nail to the coffin.
Can we get Scan vs Mihu?
i want calm to mop him up
Siege tanks still as oppresive as ever
what happened to you on the sc2 platform casting? I miss you with the other guy
Why the "neutral eggs" all over the place?
It makes walling off easier so you don't just die to rushes
@@TheInverseable Thanks bro!
Plague is so broken
gg
1999 vibes
Why don't zergs get drop and just hold their defilers in Overlords.
