My First Arizona Bass 2021

I'm starting out 2021 where I started 2020. On a small lake in southern Arizona north of the Arizona/Mexico border. Pena Blanca has a motor restriction of not more than 10hp, so it was a good lake to test out the Ulterra after getting it back from Martin Marine. Ernie checked it out and all was fine for the board and motor. Wiring from the plug was burnt part way up, so he replaced it. Watching videos from a variety of You Tubers, especially Steve Rogers, I decided to slow down my retrieve a lot, and I mean a lot. Almost like a statue. Feeling the bottom with the drop shot weight, the ned rig, and football rig. Letting the wacky worm sit longer with more subtle movement. It was a touch day, most every boater I spoke with had one catch. My goal for 2021 is to become a fish catching machine.

Slow down retrieve is big for me also. Once I replace that 5" Lowrance with something I can see, drop shot will be on my list. lol
