YAY JAYDA!!! Half a million subscribers!! Let's party! I was watching an old video when you just reached 15,000 subscribers. You were so happy!!! Enjoy this new milestone!!
This is a fun stitch to do! I'm loving tunisian crochet so far. Yes, a couple of stitches are a little slower and require more concentration. But they are satisfying! Thank you Jayda for your patience . I love the trouble shooting mentions!
Thanks, Jayda. You are such a good teacher; succinct and comprehensive. I'm a beginner, and would love to try the Tunisian stitch... someday soon, thanks to you.
Hi Jayda Institches, CONGRATULATIONS ON 500,000 SUBS!!! I am soooooooooo happy for you and I hope you have an AMAZING week and I can't wait to see you Friday!!! Love and Light- Lily Rose 🤗🤗🤗😘😘😁😁
I am not making a calendar blanket this year, though I love to watch the videos! I decided to make a dishcloth using this month's tutorial. It came out pretty good! I have been having a hard time with the tunisian hook, but this month's stitch was far easier and I was able to use the hook with more ease. Thank you, JaydaInStitches, for another fantastic video! I can't wait for the next one.
Thank you Jayda! It has been years since I did this. I thought there was only one way to do it. Glad there is more to do with it. Can't wait to try it!
I was contemplating buying a book on Tunsian Crochet Stitches. I read reviews and found so many disappointed in the lack of pictures and instructions. Not in just one book either. So I decided to buy, download and print out 2 months of your Patterns from your Etsy Shop. I have to say that your patterns have excellent photos and instructions. I will continue to buy one or two every month until I have the rest of the twelve for this year.
Congratulations on 500k subscribers I'm so happy for you, I have learned so much from your videos thanks for sharing all you know about making pretty and fun things.
The standard 4x4 inches swatch is the ideal size for a washcloth. So, if you ever want to try a stitch without having an actual plan on how to use it, now you know. =D
This is such a great tutorial! I’ve always been hesitant to try Tunisian crochet, but you’ve explained it so simply, I can’t wait to try it! Thank you so much!
Congratulations Jada on your 500K subscribers!! So happy for you! You always make your crochet projects so easy to follow! I have learned so much from you! Thank you!
Hi Jackie, you certainly could (a rectangular wrap would be super easy). You would probably want to use a larger hook and a thinner yarn for a lacy look.
I love this one too. Oh my it is nice. Now I hope I did it right. It will be my best one so far. I am using a two row around each square with a gray and all squares has a different color inside. I don't think I will have to block at all. Sound familiar? Thank you so much!
This is a wonderful stitch and I will try it soon, but, I'm wondering if you ever tried knooking? If so could you teach us how to do that because I know it is like crocheting and knitting in one. Plus I want to learn how to knook
Hi Jackie, if you're referring to the first row that some folks work into the back hump, yes. You can treat this stitch just like you would the Tunisian Simple Stitch, we're just creating a Double instead of a Single 😊
Loving this stitch Jayda. 💞 Not to pre-empt upcoming squares, but will any of them be worked with multiple colours? I've decided to make a blanket for my 6' 2" son. Will need double the amount of squares 😊
Hi Beverley! You could, in theory, use mutli-colours for each of these squares, so if you need to use up some yarn in order to double up your square count, you can certainly do that 😊
Jayda, thank you so much for your response. But what I meant was, are you creating a particular square or squares that will have more than one colour, or are all of your squares going to be one solid colour? Just curious. 💞
After the knit stitch that caused me so many problems [After a five or six rows I frogged my square several times before I got it right] this one is so so easy and it looks awesome! I noticed that between double crochets there are vertical bars with horizontal Vs between them which makes the square to look like it is made of two different stitches. I can't remember it now but will there be any special way to connect all the squares in a blanket?
@@amandah4834 I think that the knit stitch is the trickest one from all of the basic tunisian stitches. Especially for me because I crochet with two strands of yarn.
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you for replying. ♥️ I'm familiar with this stitch so I can start assembling the blanket earlier as it's gonna be a Christmas gift for my mom.
Hi Maria, we've got dozens of amigurmi animal tutorials 😊 You can check them all out in our playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLU-tvdaf-Fne5QbcqVLybiDO2Te3dh7l0
Hi Tammy, we do a completely different blanket each year 😊 Our 2022 Totally Tunisian Calendar Blanket was all different Tunisian Stitches, our first major Tunisian project, actually!
Hi Jennifer! The TDC is created by (yarn over, pick up a loop, yarn over and pull back through 2 loops on hook) across each row, so the first row worked into the foundation chains are TDCs, they just are worked into vertical bars. Technically, you can work a TDC in between stitches (for a Full TDC version) and between the vertical bars (for a take on the Knit stitch too). They all look pretty neat!
Hi Diane, my Tunisian DC is the largest of my 11 Squares so far, so it does want to size up. It's not necessarily your yarn, or your hook or tension simply because the nature of the stitch is to be a little "extra" 😁 You might want to experiment with this particular stitch using a smaller hook!
This month's square was fun! Some of the others took me the whole month to finish because I couldn't get through more than 1 or 2 rows without putting it down and picking up something else that was more familiar. 🧶
@@JaydaInStitches I'm glad to learn the new technique and the many stitches! It's definitely challenging, but I love learning new things! I've only been crocheting since 2015, so there is so much that I don't know and being an official Senior Citizen now I'm proud of learning new things at 65.
congratulations ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Can tu do a shawl in this stitch I think it might look nice
Hi Jackie, you certainly could (a rectangular wrap would be super easy). You would probably want to use a larger hook and a thinner yarn for a lacy look.

@@JaydaInStitches thank you so much. I can't wait for you to do it so we can learn it

You don’t start with the Tunisian double crochet stitch after chaining.
