Great song. One correction though Mrs Fitzherbert, his first wife, was a widowed Catholic not a divorced one. Catholics of course being famously against divorce.
OK, I don't want to over analyse a line in a song from a kids TV show but a few people have commented so I will respond. The line still doesn't make sense if it is referring to George divorcing her. The marriage was not valid in the eyes of the law because as a royal he needed the King's permission which he didn't get. Legally therefore he did not need a divorce. However in the eyes of the Catholic Church it was valid, a divorce was never sought and his second marriage was bigamous. Either way, he never attempted to divorce her nor was she divorced from any previous marriage though she was widowed twice.

King George the 4th song > I just can't wait to be king
This got randomly stuck in my head yesterday and it was all I could think about until I listened to it😂
Why is George III so adorable
I'm a kangaroo
Well, so far he is the oldest royal to take the throne. And if he's still alive Prince Charles will beat the record.
George IV and Edward VII could tie as the oldests since both of their monarch parents ( George III/ Queen Victoria) regined for 63 years but Charles will say "you guys think you had it bad I had to wait 70+ years!
He is going to beat that record as Charles is 73
he definitely beat it.
@I shot a Charlatan BINGO! And of course, it's going to be a short reign. I predict King William the V will be here in about ten years.
I know this comment is 10 years old but William IV was the oldest person to ascend to the throne until Charles became king this year.
I really love this show- the four Georges song is also pretty awesome (THis guy's in it as the same character!)
I 💗 gorge iv
George III. ♡♡
George 4 was a great shit in trohne
I ❤ Horrible Histories
I choose to believe George IV was exactly as Hugh Laurie portrayed him Blackadder 👌🏼
Edit: except not that skinny.
*"To me socks are like sex. Tons of it about but I never seem to get any."*
@@lukacsgergelics1339 "Oh no! What a mad, blundering, incredibly handsome young nincompoop I've been!"
