- So you’ve decided to try using your PS5 DualSense on your PC. Aside from simply plugging it in and calling it a day, we’re here to help set you up wirelessly should you need a little bit more freedom while gaming. And while hanging out on the couch with the PlayStation 5 is easily one of the best experiences you can have, sometimes we want to see just how far our PC’s can push some of Sony’s biggest, most beautiful games, not to mention saving quite a bit of money not having to purchase an extra controller!

It should be mentioned that the duelsense features ONLY work in wired mode and you need to turn off SteamInput emulation in the controller settings too.
^This should 100% be part of this video. Xbox supports haptics wirelessly. PS5 controller does not. what year is it?

NOTE: Make sure it's not still connected to PS5 - you might just accidentally purchase FIFA 23 while playing genshin on PC. From personal experience.

I'm one of those who have console controllers but not the consoles themselves. These are just far better than any PC generic controllers

No mention of DS4Windows or DualSenseX is a miss for a video of using DualSense on PC in my opinion. Also, without cable, DualSense Supported game still won't recognize DualSense as dual sense, only as DualShock4 if you connect via steam and emulate it via their controller emulator, so no haptic or internal speaker with Bluetooth. One more thing, most emulator support DualSense natively via Bluetooth, so Something like Yuzu, RPCS3, CEMU and PCSX2 would be able to recognize the controller as Dual Sense and utilize it's haptic feedback and motion sensor controller wirelessly. While other emulator, like dolphin, needs DS4Windows to emulate it as wiimote
How can older games that weren't built with the DualSense controller in mind take advantage of its haptics capabilities?

@@guidomauriciotoroarze8594 My guess the emulator will recognize automatically as two different device even without DS4 windows (many emulator recognize the Dual Sense natively nowadays) . Just go to the input setting and set one controller as controller 1 and other as controller 2,
TLDR: Pair with Bluetooth (if applicable)
or plug it in (with the cable that came with the console) and let steam handle the rest (its plug and play)

@@dhiwantara8357 It's an app that allows you to tweak the controller more for example changing the iightbar colors, adjusting the feel of the, triggers, and emulating an Xbox or PS4 controller for games that don't support it
It should also be mentioned that by disabling Steam Input which turns every non-Steam controller to a X360 (which is confusing in games), you completely disable its functionality. For example It takes two doesn't see any input from the controller at all if you disable Steam input and rely on Bluetooth, and using DS4Windows is the only way (PSX doesn't support two controllers). But that's not ideal since it can emulate DS4 only, not DS5 natively

Games like Monster Hunter Rise will even offer button icons for both DualShock 4 and DualSense 5, so devs have been aware of DualSense 5 compatibility for a while now.

Sony has a DualSense update application for Windows so you can update your DualSense firmware on PC. They do support it, otherwise you would need 3rd party application to even use it period.
it does not show when connecting using wireless. both in WIN and Steam. despute the lights do as mentioned so what the heck? tried on both my controllers, same issue. any suggestions?

It definitely shouldn’t. Even a low quality pc that has Bluetooth on it should handle more than one connection.

Just plug the controller into the PC. And if it changes the audio, change it back. There saved you 4 minutes.

NOT WORKING!!!! On my gaming laptop the Dualsense is detected as an audio device (as a speaker in the sound settings) in the device manager.

That is something that epic games has to fix on their side, but probably won't since there aren't that many people that use ps5 controllers.

It’s everytime disconnecting, if connect with a wire. Can only play wia Bluetooth normal. Without all the features of dualsense.

the problem is, that not all pc games support the ps5 controller for some reason.
The reason is probably Sony are not yet release SDK for it so it can be utilized fully via PC.
Wdym most PCs have bluetooth. Most laptops do but there aren't many prebuilds that have bluetooth

My PC recognized the PS5 controller via bluetooth just like it does the PS4 controller, using DS4.

My 7 year old son somehow managed to disable the PS5DS for Forza 5... Only for this one game, otherwise the PC controller can see and work in other games. Has anyone encountered this problem? Thank you :)

Definitely not... I'm have both current gen consoles and the dualsense is Definitely a better controller and especially for pc with the touch pad and gyro. You my like the Xbox layout but the dualsense is a better controller from a primary serise x user

PS5edge controller isn't approaching the touch pad to use it as a mouse in PC windows interface, the hardware its optimal simetrical and may be for too mutch a better option than the zboz controller for PC because that doesnt integrate the mousepad to manage the pointer on windows and isn't simetric on the joystics thats its an disadvantage to use the arrows ....
