    I'm glad Joe touched on those who are slim already and underweight and can't afford to loose anymore. The olive oil idea I'm not too keen on though as it can't be good for your arteries consuming that amount, and I'm sure it has more omega 6 in which is inflammatory too

    • @koalamama2
      @koalamama2 Год назад +1

      John Rose has supervised thousands of juice fasts and recommends flax oil for men and hemp oil for women every day with juices to make sure your gallbladder doesn't dry up and also to balance hormones and to absorb fat-soluble minerals.

    • @shadelle93
      @shadelle93 Год назад +1

      @@koalamama2 yh i know he has. flaxseed oil has lots of omega 3 in so that's good. I'm more referring to the comment regarding olive oil and its processed. I just don't think its a good solution for someone who is slim or underweight to be taking that amount of oil to meet a calorie amount.

      @@shadelle93 Oh, I heard him say to eat avocadoes, which I found really bizarre. I was ultra skinny but I drank at least 6L of fruit juide a day so I only lost 10 lbs on my 100 day. I don't think people should eat on a juice fast. It would activate your hunger and stop the healing.

    • @shadelle93
      @shadelle93 Год назад +1

      @@koalamama2 that is for a fast 🤔. Wow that's a lot of juice to drink but good that you was able to get through that. I'm drinking green smoothies with flax and chia and eating raw in the morning, then in the evening having a cooked meal plant based. I'm only 7st 9 5 ft 4 so I honestly can't afford to loose anymore lol. Im looking to incorporate herbs too since i can't fast. I'm trying to heal from an autoimmune condition

    • @koalamama2
      @koalamama2 Год назад

      @@shadelle93 Oh wow that's my weight right now because I've only been eating two meals a day of the cheapest raw foods for a long time. So that is very skinny. I had to stretch my stomach a lot to prepare for that fast but it did heal my digestion, varicose veins, other things. But every other time I just used a raw diet to heal the diseases I had like heart failure, chronic fatigue syndrome, melanoma. It took months each time and for the melanoma I wasn't even raw 100% of the time bc I was new so I had steamed broccoli or even rice noodles sometimes. So you will heal. With autoimmunity the gut needs to heal, so as long as you stay grain-free and eat well like you are, that should happen. I would personally avoid legumes as well since they have been shown to cause leaky gut like grains and I am sensitive to the damage of their lectins.

    I stumbled upon FS&ND by chance in 2012 and it was amazing. I did lose a bit of weight that I really didn’t need to lose especially, but the sense of happiness and well being was what I really noticed.
    I’ve recently tried Carnivore for a few months. I did lose weight but didn’t feel super great.
    Yesterday I dusted of my juicer 😅

    The reason I did 100% fruit juices during my 100 day is because I started to get blod sugar spikes from juices where I included vegetables. It got worse and worse and I felt unwell until I figured that out and switched to all fruit by day 42 for the remainder of the fast and felt amazing thereafter.

      Yes fruit juices are the way to go!! They are way more cleansing and healing to the body also due to their astringent properties! More bang for you buck while tasting absolutely divine!! ✨🍇🌞

      I’m really drawn more to green juices… specially just celery with a little lemon… or maybe a little of another green (parsley, cilantro lime, kale, spinach, cucumber), added in a small amount. I’m not a big fan of combo juices of veggie and fruit but sometimes do drink or make them. I like fruit juices by themselves sometimes and often have to mix with water because they taste TOO SWEET for me. Is the blood spike because of the combo? Or do veggie juices spike the blood sugar more than fruit juices?

    • @koalamama2
      @koalamama2 Год назад +1

      @@PureBelovedParsley I think you should definitely listen to your body. You might need to do some liver cleansing first with lemon juice and herbal teas for a few weeks, like I did before I could enjoy and tolerate any juices, or you might never like sugar. Some people really prefer more savory things, forever. For your question, I'm going to say definitely the combo is what does it. In fruit juice, there's a lot of sugar but it gets used my the body easily; in veggie juice there isn't enough sugar to cause a spike; in a combo juice there seems to be starch or something messing with the efficient use of sugar which causes noticeable and prolonged blood glucose spikes.

    • @PureBelovedParsley
      @PureBelovedParsley Год назад

      @@koalamama2 Thank you. 🙏👍🏻 Also, there may be more fats in veggies (the fats/oils which float on top when making the juice from the peels… like cucumber?)… so combining it with the fruit juice… I see how that might be problematic. And I always put lemon in… and leave a little of the skin… which has natural oil…

    I went into my 100 day juice fast at 106 lbs and came out at 96 lbs despite the cold, Canadian winter. The trick is to only drink fruit juice (no low calorie veg) and to stretch your stomach before starting so you can fit at least 2L comfortably, 3x/day. I drank at least 6L/day and it was about 2600 calories (I would even squeeze the pulp wth a nut milk bag bc i was using a Breville - not a Nama J2!).

      Also I have noticed that raw vegans who consume over 10% fats or just that are more likely still experiencing basic health problems from time to time, but others who doesn't feel good on fats can go over 30+ years without being sick once..

    FS&ND is a good film to break into the idea that juices can heal us …that the average American, or person is usually not aware of. And it’s fun and “feel good.” 👍🏻 encouraging.
    Relationships;
    Finances;
    Health.
    Yep, the three that humans need a certain level of functioning to have a good life. Not easy. 🫤
