Spatial audio music is taking the music industry by storm and as a musician allows me to create sound in 360 degrees, And the prospect of using the vision pro to create a visual experience to go with my spatial music, blows my mind to pieces. Happy 2024 for ya sir!. I love the idea of Tech in Sports. And YES, more like the F1 type of videos. Some others may be: Low cost options to expensive / premium products. Tech in our daily lives (or like ..."is tech serving us, or do we serve tech?" approach.) YES to collabs. Maybe doing it with smaller channels to help them ramp up? I used to be amazed at what was invested during my grandparents' early life (planes, electricity, indoor plumbing, A/C, telephones, etc). The big things I remember being w/o was microwaves, answering machines, call waiting, caller ID, home computers, VCRs/DVDs, cell phones, Internet....some of these things were a big deal and now they're ancient/gone technology (CD players). Technology is moving so fast that it's difficult to appreciate them when they come and go.

    • @s4lino
      @s4lino 4 месяца назад

      great point, i was surprised to find out microwaves came to our world to make coffee in space, no wonder its still a time champion in the kitchen, sure its not the most sexy looking output and taste but how we going to find all these time to put our eyes through all these tech even if they are produced. i think the problem with modern tech/society is too much shine that causes low ownership volumes due to price or too much bell shine and it doesn't last the test of time which leads to lower buyer will although I know companies need consumers to endless buy aka till the afterlife or there wont be CE anything in the future so its kind of a hard one...kind of like does war or peace build a better future...its almost to a degree that all those companies past the 3rd ranking in each field is just there so people can have food on the table I mean, people likely just want 3 categories: the best/most expensive, the fastest/safest and maybe the easiest/cheapest...not sure if we can encourage those companies ranking in innovation terms too low down the list to just merge workforce to create more innovation or just bring down cost for the better/best innovation so more people can own it to actually help society move towards a happier place rather than this item ownership is good because others cant afford it and selling that feeling has become more important than the product itself..

    • @tubester358
      @tubester358 4 месяца назад +2

      I think a primary reason is how the economy works. Ideally, we would like companies to invent and improve things before selling them so that each new product would be a significant event & everyone would want one, but companies with ambition need a constant cashflow to build up their manufacturing and fund R&D, so a lot of tech comes out and is heavily marketed which is really only 20% of the product that company actually wants to make, but they control the rate of development and experimentation - and the need to change a lot of the manufacturing pipeline of the previous product - for the sake of money. The consumerist mentality of always wanting the newer shinier thing has proven to he the most lucrative and targetable, so most products feel like a small incremental update now.
      Even after a significant breakthrough it may not shine as much as, say, the invention of the fridge or microwave, because a) most of our basic needs are fully met and modern tech is mostly luxuries (outside of special needs), and b) prototypes are marketed and sold as amazing cutting edge products and the tech grows alongside us instead of in a lab.

      Personally I think the tech in the long range singlehanded racing yachts like the Gitana 17 is more interesting. The America's cup yachts have a large crew to do a lot of things manually, but the transatlantic yachts have to automate almost everything so they can keep racing at 40+ knots while the captain is sleeping.

    Hi Marques, Would love to see you do a video on Football(soccer) highlighting some of the tech. I know it might not have a huge audience in the US but i think there is a lot of tech that goes into the sport. From goal line technology to the VAR tech and even these new vests that the players are wearing to track them, and tech in the balls. Soccer is a case where the tech has been quite controversial at times especially in the VAR specifically the line technology so i think it would be great to see your perspectives, Hope to see this sometime in 2024

    Suggestion for a sports tech video: check out the foiling sailing classes at the 2024 Olympic games (IQFoil and Nacra 17). Foiling also made it possible to use hand-held wings for sailing (previously only truly viable on ice or snow thanks to the lower friction) and the wing foiling sport has been rapidly increasing in popularity thanks to the relatively simple and lightweight equipment and the extremely wide range of use of the equipment. Or, if you want to stay closer to electronic appliances, there's also e-foiling...

    Apple Vision Pro:
    A Vision Pro headset that functions as the server for multiple Vision Pro headsets (clients). Each client device sees the Server images as if it is looking at them from its own relative position to the Server. Thus the Server and all the devices create a virtual 3D space.

I truly anticipate what Ai Multimodal can be like. 8:40 I totally agree phonemakers should spontaneously surprise us with some bold design such as a rear micro display screen or RGB led lights around the camera bump. 9:35 EVs are truly shaping up to be evolutionary.
