- Hanfu(汉服) is a term used for the historical styles of clothing worn in China by the Han Chinese. Traditionally, the hanfu consisted of a robe or shirt worn as the upper garment, with a pleated skirt commonly worn as the lower garment. Following the Han dynasty, this clothing had developed into a variety of styles utilising fabrics that encompassed a number of complex textile production techniques, particularly those used to produce silk.

I'm not a Chinese but I am soooo in love with Hanfu and traditional chinese clothing. Especially when the men wears them..i think Chinese men look better in traditional clothing then modern. I wish people still wear it in daily life, it's just so elegant, sophisticated,classy and sooo beautiful. Men in traditional clothing always look dignified and sophisticated, graceful yet masculine. Women too look pretty in them. Ahhh i just love it!!!

@IZAN NZ Haha.....quite the contrary. Women in hanfu look so graceful and elegant. Men, ha, they look silly really. More like girly than manly. And I'm a Chinese man.
@@omni3670 i don't think so. Yes the outfit is long and baggy and somewhat feminine but I don't think the male looks girly at all. There is masculinity in the way they dress in hanfu

Can I correct you a bit, the world would be much more interesting if youth admire and respect their traditional clothing. Bcoz nowadays young generation more and morely adhering to western clothes and forget their own traditional clothes. In my country also young generation tend to ignore cultural and traditional values and accepting western culture wholeheartedly, no problem with it but it would be nice they would also admire own cultural heritages like the people do in this videos...

You don't have to be a different nationality to wear their clothes . I am English but have worn sparkly indian clothes and accessories , tassel belts, tiny bells etc since the 60s .I dress for myself , I also customise lots of stuff from charity shops . I don't like modern , western clothes . I thinkyoung men ,and some older men , look far more attractive in these other fashions .. but definitely better minus the beer bellies that plague the world .

I live in the city where these videos where shot, there are chubby people obviously but most of these kids are influencers and people into Hanfu usually care about their appearance. But in general Chinese people are on the skinny side manly because of the food.

That's one type of hanfu style from one of the dynasty of China. China has long history. Every dynasty and every period had different trend and style of clothing. The first picture is one style of Tang dynasty style clothing. You can easily sees drawing of such style if you just search for Tang dynasty female clothing.

I wanna say, the first one is not called hanfu, thatis just a random white dress, hanfu is a large dress, are not accepted as short, because ancient years ago woman only wear long dress, they cannot show out their legs, because this is the rule, if it show out it a disrespect for there husband, even if it's not married can also not,
