    I appreciate that you’re using a build that’s uniquely “you” and outside of what’s usually recommended for choices. There’s some unique aspects out there for werewolf play styles so I’m hoping you do an update video in a week or so if you’ve changed things around again. I’ve changed builds so many times now while levelling druid. I experiment last with a bear/wolf hybrid to utilize some of the shapeshift bonus synergies but I wasn’t happy with how it was working. Might revisit it if I get better aspects and gear. I’ve settled into a companion/no spirit spender build that’s just melting everything right now and feels so good to play.

      For Druid is it possible to make a build that doesn't require you to keep switching between animals and just staying in human form and play like an elemental shammy from WoW?

      @@darrelladams4886 that's cool, when I played Druid in the beta I didn't like the switching between animals mostly because of how it's implemented and it seems they try to make you go down that path or I don't see staying in bear form or wolf form as viable for all content

    • @darrelladams4886
      @darrelladams4886 Год назад

      @@fatbroccoli8 there’s a pulverize/earth bear build that’s very strong right now and some werewolf builds around either lightning or poison synergies. I’m hoping a good bear/wolf build is possible to utilize shapeshifting bonuses but the one I put together while levelling lacked the “extra” stuff that seems to pull builds together towards the end. The lightning based storm build I used at the start was pretty fun but had spirit issues in the early game and you can find yourself healing a lot. Lots of room to experiment on the Druid class which I like and if you want to be in human form all the time I would definitely focus on storm or earth or storm/earth builds

    That’s awesome because I am playing a very similar build albeit with some differences. While poison is an integral part of the build for me, it is more of a proxy to help me deal extra damage with my shred as it increases both my critical strike chance and critical strike damage with the help of poison creeper and Envenom.
    For my basic skill, while I started out with claw, I eventually switched to storm strike. I know that losing out on the poison is a big deal but I found that storm strike generates spirit more easily and applies vulnerable which is a really powerful status.
    For the companions I have both the poison creeper and the crows because the crows increase critical strike chance and apply vulnerable. I also found a legendary aspect which augments my shred damage based on how many companions are active so having 2 is really good.
    I have blood howl for attack speed increase, damage reduction with the passive and eventually critical strike chance with a codex of power I haven’t reached yet.
    Finally, while I know lacerate is undertuned, the immune side is pretty nice as you said and it usually crits often with my build which helps potentially reset my poison creeper and crows with the help of one of the spirit boons which has an up to 20% chance to reset companion skills on crit.
    So while my build is more focused on crit, it’s quite similar to yours and I’m enjoying the stuggle of figuring out what goes best with it as I go through the campaign.

    The aspect that gives you up to .5% armor for 4 seconds & stacks up to 100 times can actually be procced by poison ticks. It’s surprisingly easy to maintain 100 stacks & it’ll give you +50% armor.

    • @peterk2735
      @peterk2735 Год назад +1

      Path of Exile wins it out for me, cause the gameplay fits the story and setting. It’s a dark fucking tale, the further you go in, the more depraved and depressing it gets, all of this is echoed in the gameplay cause it can be brutal if you don’t know what you’re doing. BUT D4 reminds me of good old D2, the setting and atmosphere is spot on, unlike D3 which felt like generic fantasy. However, D4 is way more approachable and I never felt oppressed by the darkness of the setting, while PoE has some truly WTF moments. Good thing is that POE is free, so you can try it at any time

      I don’t know why Blizzard made the druid’s progression so slow. They could’ve just started you off in the place where spirit boons are set or at least made up some mumbo jumbo so you could warp to that altar thing. Stranger things have happened in that world.
      And all that lore blocking you for what? A glorified modifier system with no interesting abilities or modifiers. Just different sets of “numbers go up.”
      On top of that, they made its only ranged basic skill physical instead of storm magic. What the hell is up with that?
      And tornado, man. That skill basically needs the legendary aspect to be worth it.

    Question regarding Cyclone Armour
    Is Earthen Bulwark a good replacement? I feel it was quite strong with the aspect whilst leveling
    Awesome video by the way so refreshing to see a build other than

    I find a legendary which consider werewolf skill as lighting skill, werebear skill as earth skill in Nature Fury passive. With that you can merge Wolf Bear and also human form to create a very unpredictable playstyle :)) In which once you cast werewolf skill you will have a chance to proc earth skill in the same category. For example cast blood howl and have a chance to have earth shield activate. Cast pulverize together with lighting storm or hurrican.

    The colour palatte and the muted effects makes things very hard to see when in the thick of it. Especially when the enemies gets effect auras around them and they are several.
    I really wanted to play this because I loved D1 and D2 and D3 was ok aswell. But the MMO part just makes me stay away, had enough of that genre.
    I have been playing the new DLC for "The Riftbreaker" instead and have a ton of fun.

    Basically every Druid build I see, and yes even poison builds, uses storm strike over claw and the other basic abilities. They make it sound like anything other than storm strike is a waste of time, and you're just losing DPS if you use anything else, I don't know if that's true, but I hope not, because I do like the feel of other basic abilities better than storm strike.

    • @MortismalGaming
      @MortismalGaming  Год назад

      There is a late game unique helmet, that turns it into a werewolf skill which makes storm strike benefit from all our werewolf skills and buffs which does make it better than just claw at that point for this.

    I love that you didn’t pay attention to the META and built your own thing and effectively. Makes me feel like a meta gaming scumbag 😂
    But also this makes me want to make my own build and just play for fun alone instead of blasting content just to feel like I did something.

      The meta is there for people that want to push the highest difficulty stuff. ARPGs always let you do whatever you want, but just like in PoE, you won't be able to progress through the Altas unless you have a meta build. It's up to you as always, you can enjoy the game your way, but you will reach a point where if you want to progress you will be forced into a meta build, be it by experimentation or following a guide of someone that has experience with these games.

    Good for you. Problem with diablo 4 is everyone is a drone. Everyone is a Twisted blade Rogue. Everyone is a spin to win Barb. Everyone is that noob boring Pulivsher Werebear build (that looks so boring i'd rather not play the game than just spam one button)
    The werebear build looks like it should be something on Path of Exiles, just kinda brainless xD
    I wanna make a druid that uses fast attacks and crits when the game finally balances out in a few weeks/months than these boring META builds 90% of the community are using

    its so sad that werewolf got absolutely no love in this game. terrible AoE, and mediocre damage for being melee and bad survivability. It looks and sounds so cool, though. it needs a new skill or way better legendaries or something.

    HOT TAKE:
    I customizations are so popular on some games is because of the lack of Coordination-Skill requirements means there's little to differentiate your character-play from another.
    Exceptions are CSGO - but those were naive days.
