- Following the 8 episodes of the Marcita Aurora project, I wanted to make a recap/time-lapse that cover the full series in one big accelerated video for those who don't care about full explanations or silly jokes.
If you are interested in the project and want to know more after this, please check the full series playlist :
English version : The quest for Marcita Aurora: • The quest for Marcita ...
French version : La Quête pour Marcita Aurora: • La Quête pour Marcita ...

Wish there were more long-form hobby builds like this WITHOUT voiceover. No offense to all the nice hobby channels with narration, it's just that this video's form is so much more relaxing and good for restless nights.
Ahah. That's why I made both versions. One for the people who wants to learn how to do it, and the second chill version 😏
Cheers, mate !
Yes I totally agree. I just sat peacefully watching this and the music made it so relaxing. The talent and hard work to make this is amazing. A true pleasure to watch. ❤🇨🇦
I cut the sound off .
Man, the details, the editing, the camera angles, the entire thing is a work of art, not just the finished build. Thanks for the inspiration.
Oh geez, thanks for your comment. Hope you will also follow the full series of video about this project, at a normal speed and with comments 😉
This was zen AF! I felt like I was getting a craft massage. Bravo!
Ahah, thanks. Next video will be me doing moldline removing in ASMR for 3 hours 😆
The music.....the art....the skill.....the vision.....total heaven
Cheers, mate. You just missed the comments, tutorial, lore and lame jokes from the complete project version, so I guess you still got the best of the experience 😆
@@WasteDawnPaintingMinis haha just found the rest of the video playlist will be watching it all! 👍
@Channel England Football CEF already sorry for the accent.
And the jokes.
Especially that
Watched this with my parents on the tv ❤
Loved the non voiceover longform format, the details 😮 amazing
One of the coolest builds I've seen in years. The scope of your ability is amazing, from all the sculpting and painting to working with electrical. Masterful work!
Thank you, and that was a bit the idea, pushing skills a bit further than usual, on bigger scale. But in the end, nothing on the whole project is unattainable for someone with two hands. 😉
ONE "negative" thing.... to little time to enjoy the houses with the lights on.. it is AMAZING and i would have LOVED to see at least 2 sec more of it... incredible talented and it is such a joy to watch.. SUBBED!!
Thank you, and you might be happy to know that you still have the full lenght 8 episodes project series in the playlist, all commented, at regular speed and with a bit of lore and lame jokes 😄
Hope you'll comment on that too 😊
Was mesmerized throughout! A Zen-like tutorial-so many ideas with step by step instructions. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and this amazing piece of art!
Thank you so much, well to be honest, this video in particular was not hard to make, it's just the condensed version of the 8 separated (and commented) videos of the project. Those are the ones which should get all the love and views 😉
This is totally amazing!
Loving that stained glass trick. Will definitely use that when appropriate!!😮
It was such a nightmare to do. I would advice you use UV resin instead of 2 components epoxy. For this volume, having something that will dry in a matter of second will be a game changer !
What an epic build, individually hand painted vegies, now I've seen it all, just love the lead light windows, that is a whole new level, well done.
Thanks mate. Well I guess there's nothing more important for a decent build than DIY turnips ! More seriously, I think it all comes from the little furnitures on my old Hero Quest board, I thought that amazing in terms of details ! 😊
Epic build. Super inspiring. Thank you for this!
Cheers, mate. I wish I'd find the courage to make a hive city underground soon !
Après avoir vu la série entière, ce time-lapse relaxant est parfait pour se rendre compte du chemin parcouru et pour se remémorer les différentes parties. 👍 Merci :D !
P.S. : Tu as une super pyroscie d'ailleurs, j'aimerais la même ! ☀
Best thing I will see on you tube today. Looks great.
Cheers mate 😊
One of the coolest builds I've seen in years. The scope of your ability is amazing, from all the sculpting and painting to working with electrical. Masterful work! 👌👌👏👏👍👍🌹🌹
Thank you for this lovely journey, thanks for sharing, what a wonderful creation!
The patience going into this is praiseworthy.
Cheers, but after all, what is two months in a lifetime ? 😅
You are an immensely talented builder! I wish I had the attention span to build something that detailed. Definitely worth a subscribe.
Cheers, DA !
Well, yeah, more than skills or experience, dedication is really the sole sine qua non of this project !
This was such a joy to watch - you are a true master of the craft! Hungry for more 😅
Thank you so much !I still need to cope with the mourning of finishing the project. But I'll eventually return to videos 😄
AMAZING!! It's so nice to watch this come to life. Great craftsmanship.👍😎🤘
Thanks, mate. Although it was such a demanding project, I feel so lucky of the great feedbacks !
This is wonderful work! Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial! Love the shot at 1:16:57!
Ahah, that was a little reference to "the crack in the Indian's" bottom, from Wayne's World II 😁
Can I give you a little suggestion for cobblestone take erasers out of the ends of a few pencils ( ones with brass rings) now deform the rings so not perfect circles anymore then just push those into the styrofoam....tada cobblestone
Ok. That's amazing formula 🤯
Though that would mean all my stones would be similar 😂
Absolutely insanely good, cannot believe it!
Wooow, that's a wholebunch of superlatives 😅
Thank you so much, hope it gives you ideas or motives for personnal projects !
Great work ! love it 😍
Cheers, hope you will also follow the full step by step playlist with complete English dubs !
You truly have a gift and the work ended up very beautiful. Let's your imagination run!!!!
The gravel in the can with the small chunks is a game changer 5:43
Isn't it right ?
I call it the foamgrinder and I couldn't live without one again 😆
Это просто невероятный труд! Очень красиво и эпично!
Большое спасибо, друг мой !
From a 65 yr Old amateur modeler, but Recognize Imagination & Talent........WELL FUCKING DONE SON! Thank You for Sharing
Magic with the big M. These were the best 1hour 19 minutes spend this week on youtube. This was mind blowing, brain dazzeling building technique. I wish i had only 10% of your skills. I am not in this kind of modelbuilding, but this was a absolute joy and pleasure to look at. And i am admiring you for you skills, talent and patience to make this video. You are my Nr 1 builder for 2023,and i know it is only 10th of january, but there are very few who can beat you. Btw new sub ,Gr from Spain
Wowww. That was heck of a comment ! 😳
Thank you so much for that ! Actually I'm not considering myself as a particularly gifted hobbyist, and all the techniques I used are quite simple and pretty easy to reproduce. If you come to decide having some scenery in the future you can just grab some of it for your own 😊
In the meantime, I hope you'll check the whole playlist in 8 parts including the explanation, as well as some lame jokes ^^
And hope to count you on my next video viewers, this thursday at 6pm our time !
Cheers,
Nicolas.
@@WasteDawnPaintingMinis hi Nicolas. I am into the 1-24 scale model cars and start a kind of a car dealership/workshop. Easy and more like a square modern ind estate building, but i will add some small weathering things. After seeing you and laser creations i want to try this part of the hobby also my wife saw your result and was also flabbergasted. Maybe she will be surprised by my work also😂🤣😂🤣 in anyway. This was the push i need to start my first diorama. Thanks a lot for that. The best trick i thought was the ball of zilverpapier to make the structure at the cobblestones.
That was absolutely amazing to watch. Well done!!
This was also absolutely amazing to make, even if it drained me of creative energy for quite a while ^^'
Very amazing. Thank you for posting.
Cheers mate ! Happy to see still so many people discovering the video years after 🫶
thanks to you i have all i need now to build my project , you have answered all my questions , amazing work !! you made my day
I'm so happy to be of any help 😊
If you need any further infos or tips, the full project playlist goes way deeper into the work and is fully in English 😉

I was surprised to see the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog! Nice touch
Thanks ! Hope you recognise some of the other characters 😉
firstly. simply amazing job, top effort and incredible crafting, secondly. is that fountain water spout made of mac n cheese?! complete out of the box thinking i LOVE IT!
Thanks so much Wade !
And yes, you are 100% right. Water inlet are made of macaronis !
I'm telling a little more about the whole process in the full project tutorial playlist, with comments, don't hesitate to get that if you want more offstage silliness 😁

A work of art. Amazing
Cheeers 😊
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!
That is so awesome! I have always wanted to do stuff like you do. I'm envious of your talent. 😊 AND YOUR PATIENCE!!!
Thank you so much !!
But you know, this project doesn't required as much skills as patience and abnegation ^^
There is nothing on it that can't be reproduced by someone with enough motives ! Just check the full serie playlist of the project, you'll see that it's not that complicated ;)
@WasteDawnPaintingMinis OMG! I am so impressed that you took the time to not only respond to my comment but to also encourage me! Thank you so much. It says so much about a person. You have a life time follower because I know when you give me feedback or advice, it means something! Thank you again! 😊
I see beastman, I subscribe.
Kevin the Beast Beastman has been my official sidekick during the process, I couldn't have finish the job without his support 😁
Absolutely incredible work!
Cheers, mate 😊
This was fun!!

Greetings from Turkey. I just discovered your channel. I subscribed right away. Thanks for the videos. (sorry google translate )
Thanks Can, translation is nice actually, would you need me to subtitle my next video in Turkish as well ?
@@WasteDawnPaintingMinis if possible. Thanks..
Really nice work!! Love it so much I want one for myself. Did it make it to the bookshelf? Would love to see it in place😁👍🏻.
Always on the way to collect videos, but never finish watching😁
Beautifully done, looks awesome!
Cheers, not gonna make such huge project every 2 days, but it has been a wonderful experience to share !
Cool! On thumbnail at first I thought it was one of those isometric video games like Baldurs gate. Awesome
Wow, that's heck of a compliment, thank you 😊
Imprimer un motif sur un tissu dans l'imprimante... Ça, c'est une bonne idée!
Bravo!!! Super travail!!!🎉🎉🎉
Beyond beautiful...
It's taken me to another place and time...
Thank you for that...best...
I cannot be happier to see this project being able to make you travel this way.
You'd have a little more lore in the long version multi episodes playlist where you'll have the spoken version 😊
That is bloody awesome!
Outre nos différents, votre travail est d'une bonne qualité. Beau travail.
Heureusement qu'on est pas limités à nos avis sur les évènements actuels en tout cas !

Absolutely spectacular!

Thanks, Christina ! Hope you'll like the rest of the channel, expecially the full project playlist 😊
Palm trees? A castaway diorama in an island that is not on any map.
A wrecked pirate ship
Monster hunter diorama of plesioth or Lagiacrus.
A treasure map leading to a guarded ejem treasure by a creature...
Very well done, creative, you must be very passionate about your history.
I actually created it on the go, while building it, week after week.
I guess it almost built by itself 😁
incredible work, great detail. well done 😍😍👏👏
You did an amazing job! Thanks so much for sharing this :D
Thank you Tina, hope I'll have time to share some new projects!
Amazing work.
This is amazing. Got yourself a new subscriber
Awesome
If only we'd had half the brain to do quarter of this stuff as kids
You do amazing work!
Quite fabulous! Only 15 minutes in, and I'm totally invested 😊
One thought - I appreciate that the bridge would possibly be stone, but if it were, then they would likely use cut stones, to ensure that the arch would hold, rather than the much rougher fieldstones/cobblestones you used? OTOH, for such a short bridge, it might be more reasonable to build it with wood. The loading would tend to be lower than a longer/wider bridge, the maintenance would be easier given the location close to the town centre (vs a more isolated bridge where the durability would be important with lower visibility), and the construction would be significantly cheaper...
Regardless, it's gorgeous, and the stone bridge is aesthetically pleasing 😊 I'm a subscriber now!
ahah, thank you so much for this perspective. In all honesty, I was vaguely inspired by Bruges' canal bridge which can close to this design, even if it it obviously on widest watercourse.
But of course, I wasn't really aiming to a historically and physically accurate scenery, otherwise you would'nt find three building so different near each other, all of those would have shutters, etc... :p
Hope you have liked the rest of the video, and if there are other issues you notice, they'd be welcome !
@@WasteDawnPaintingMinis it isn't really an issue so much as a different perspective - as this is clearly a fantasy setting, anything you do is acceptable, if it meets your criteria for inclusion! The only "issue" would be fitting field stones together tightly enough to hold the arch shape, but given the short span, shaping and placing the stones might not pose an insurmountable challenge. I was just thinking of the keystone and the carefully shaped stones of the main arch on other stone bridges, and how critical they are, and that got me thinking (about other approaches, as it were) 😊 Maybe the backstory here is that they had magical help, so a spell is providing any support needed that doesn't come from engineering? 🧙🪄 Regardless, beautiful work - the details you put in show what a labour of love this was for you ❤️👏
Cheers,
I really hope you will see the whole project playlist as I discuss more of background for the place and buildings, as well as the "lore" of Marcita Aurora.
Let's say that Claigeann Fèidh as a tutelary god of the city might justify anything wrong on logic ^^'
Or as we mainly say in RPG "STIM" :p
Hope to find time, strenght and motive to relaunch the channel in january and propose some new great content !
OMG dude.... i'd have 0 expactation in the beginning of the video!! Good job
I had no idea it would turn out well neither. Just putting all I had of wish it would be mostly like in my mind 😁
Бесподобно! Очень залипательно!
здравствуй, друг! и извините, я не уверен, что полный плейлист проекта имеет русские субтитры...
Beautiful work........well done.
Espectacular! Muchas gracias

Cheers, hope you enjoyed !
New subscriber here👋🏼. You are very talented, I have watched from start to finish. Thank You for uploading this, your work is beautiful.
Thank you so much ! So sad you haven't watched the project playlist instead, you have missed the comments and the lame jokes ^^'
In the meantime, next video this thursday, I hope you like Dark Fantasy ! :)
@@WasteDawnPaintingMinis You are welcome. I will watch the project playlist and the new video. I have always been interested in miniatures and these kinds of hobbies so it is just amazing to see such skill. I will watch this Thursday! ☺️
Fantastic video, i noticed when you were cutting you haveca poster on the wall with what looked like the chapter colours and insignia of the 18 space marine chapters, where did you get it from ? I intend to make and paint a single space marine from each of the chapters. I'd like a poster like that not only for its instructional value but also because I love space marines. Carry on making great content mate
Cheers !
Regarding the poster, I think it was included in an old white dwarf, or maybe even in the Warhammer Hachette collection 😉
Wonderfully done!!!
Thanks 😊
Thank you for posting this wonderful video of your project. It was a pleasure to watch. I love the "Foam Breaker"😅, that's such a great idea and I hope you don't mind if I copy it?! You're so talented and skilled, and your Diorama turned out really beautifully. Did you study to be an architect or a draughtsman? Cheers from Amanda in Australia 👍
Hi Amanda, your message is so heartwarming !
I really hope you get the opportunity to watch the full commented project playlist where I discuss a bit more the how and why. And no, I had no particular skills or experience, just parience and will to make something I'd be proud of ! The whole stuff is just a compilation of quite easy tasks 😉
Super cool
I have one thing to say: Wow
Cheers to the wow 😉
Awesome work!
Cheers, hope you'll enjoy the full process playlist with comments and tutorial. This Timelapse video is just a lazy resume of the whole project, it shouldn't have more views and likes than the real stuff ;)
I learned alot from this video. Thanks
A pleasure. Hope you will have the opportunity to use it all soon 😊
Love your artistic work will see it again ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤you r a genius 😂

Not too bad considering the time you had. Definitely serviceable even for a rush job.
Well, especially as "10 weeks beside my full-time job, couple life and angry cats" 😅
It's very cool.
Cheers, mate
I just want to say - and I don't mean to be picky - but I have noticed exposed brickwork a lot in period and fantasy model making...I live in a rural area of England where there is an abundance of remaining 16th and 17th century timber-framed buildings of all shapes and sizes...three of neighbour's houses timber-framed cottages and a fourth farm house all built in the 17th century - there is no brick in-between the oak frames to be exposed - the walls are rendered wattle and daub - occasionally I have seen timber-framed buildings where bricks have been put in in the 19th century to shore up a cottage but this is very rare, and especially rare on larger buildings due to their wobbly nature and absence of true right angles. Just saying.
I love the picky ones !
Well, I would not just push away your point saying it's all just Fantasy buildings, that would be lazy and at this point you might have guess that's not my type 😉.
I assume half-timbered houses in your place has it's own engineering, but here in France, having half-timbered houses with walls made of bricks, then covered in plaster is quite usual. You can see places like Strasbourg, Troie or almost any historical center that as been kept as such to see it (outside full stone builds like in Bretagne where bricks are less common).
You can check the original commented version of the video in the playlist, where I discuss the inspirations more deeply 😉
your skills are admirable
Cheers, mate !
Impressive. just wow.
Cheers, mate !
