  • Without even Knowing it, Your car might have a boost leak! A Leak could be something small such as a hole in a pipe to something as big as a Turbo going bad! For some people, including myself... It can sometimes be impossible to know if you have a boost leak (Especially if it is very small). This is just one of those situations where you would rather want to know what is wrong than not knowing at all, as Boost leaks could end up just getting bigger and bigger till it starts hurting the engine!

    Congratulations .
    There are many youtubers talking about VCDS and Logs ...... but no one has explained as clearly and making logs for each component exam separately as you do, and with the extra that you explain how the graph and data are interpreted and how the normal behavior should be and when the data is not good, you explain what it may be due to and what should be correct.
    Your videos on this are very instructive, I was looking for someone like you to explain things to novice people like me and thanks to you now I see things much more clearly.
    By the way, a question.
    In this test that you carry out on the behavior of the turbocharger, could you also add the log on motor torque NM? which one should be pointed out or added... engine Torque IDE00100 ??? Would it be this alone or do I have to add another?
    Thank you very much and keep it up, research more about VCDS if possible and keep making video tutorials so well explained.
    Greetings.

      Hi, sorry for only getting to you now... I actually held your message on not responded yet so everytime when i look to see my analytics or comments i will always see yours haha... I wanted to make sure i respond to your message :) and unfortunately i am getting back to you now with no info as yet :( my car battery was dead aswell as i have a flat and lost my lock nut, so I can't take my wheel off 🤦 so bought a new battery today and the lock nut might only arrive within a dew days... So on my next off cycle i will look into it ☺️👌 i just want to say thank you so much... I really do appreciate the kind words 🙏 i have so much more data logging videos i want to make... I can't stop with it haha it shows you so much and you learn so many different things from it ☺️

      @@megalodononwheels Nice to talk to you.... Sorry if my language is somewhat confusing, my native language is Spanish and I use translators to write English.
      Well, it's unfortunate that you had that problem with the vehicle. Curiously, it has happened to me like you when taking logs and passing it to Datazap on Lambda probe measurement, it only shows me the line of the ideal data but not the real data.... A pity since it is a waste of time... I will try perform these checks again to see if this time it displays that data...
      If you manage to find out what is the exact cause that the real lambda data is not always displayed in Datazap, please let me know and what is your solution. Where I usually do this type of measurement is a very limited area and when I do it I find it very difficult and I can't always do it.
      About the security nuts, I preferred to remove them and put normal nuts. Unfortunately, if thieves try to steal them, the security nuts will remove them very easily and if they can't, they will destroy the rim trying to do so, and in case of damaging the rim and not being able to steal them, the comprehensive insurance is not responsible for the deterioration of the rim. in the attempted robbery, so I prefer that it be stolen and thus the insurance does cover the robbery.

      Hey buddy... Ok so where do i start lol... The translate from spanish to english is amazing... I did not really picked up that your message was translate haha...
      Also the lambda, there is something you can do... I don't know if you have Microsoft excel, you can actually use it to open the logged file before you upload it to datazap. The only thing datazap does is, it places information in a line chart. So that you can see it clearly. Where if you open it with Microsoft excel it will be in numbers but you will still be able to read it. Try it out :) might also make a video of it in the future :)
      And then yea its true about the security nut haha, but i am hoping that they would rather just not steal it at all haha... People who does try to steal it wont jack your car up properly, they also wont care if your car falls off the bricks or what they do to the car until they get the wheels off... So it might cause body damage and have missing wheels 🤣 i prefer damage wheels above body damage you know haha but your statement is not false :)

    Bro, do you know any website for getting the stock values of boost, fuel pressure, afr, etc of a vehicle?. I mean just in order to know how to read all those values.

    • @megalodononwheels
      @megalodononwheels  3 года назад

      I unfortunately have no idea where to get that info 🤦 i can imagine that they won't show it because it will help opposing competition to find out their secret such as why audi makes more power than bmw... (as an Example)... But like i mentioned, almost all the values you want to look at has a specified and actual value, so you just need to make sure it is as close to that as possible for Optimal performance :)

    Hi, thanks for the video, i'd like to know how i could log the N75 solenoid duty cycle, i have a 2012 seatl leon tdi and i'm overboosting ( i have a slow boost build and then it goes up to 2x specefied boost level ). At the same time i think the N75 duty cycle is at 100% at idle ( which is full boost ) isn't that weird ?

    • @megalodononwheels
      @megalodononwheels  Год назад +1

      Hi, I have already planned my N75 video to come up in the future 👌💪 and just like yours I am experiencing the same problem. Mine just doesn't want to open enough... It's like the car is also overboosting but my valve is saying no I will only open it a bit 🤣 but yea fully closed at idle is weird... Maybe if the car is doing a cold start then yea I would understand sothat it can warm up the turbo quicker... But if your car isbhot and it is still closed... Then that is another problem

      @@megalodononwheels I'm having a hard time diagnosing my problem, my car has been over boosting to the sky, I'm getting 2 fault codes : over boost limit exceeded, and vnt stuck.
      I was thinking that maybe my VNT rod needs ajustement, but then maybe my intake manifold could be clogged (bad EGR valve maybe). The thing is I've removed my head and intake for head gasket replacement and cleaned everything 4 months ago.

      Have you sorted the prob? YT never showed me this comment :( also if you haven't fixed it, what car are you driving? Like my car that has the stock K03 does not have the adjustable rod on the wastegate. but I suspect it might be the wastegate that is stuck. In a never video I made a weird contraption to see if my wastegate moves and under what pressure.

      @@megalodononwheels yes I sorted the problem, it was a clogged catalytic converter (my car doesn’t hav a DPF). Basically it was clogged and the exhaust gases couldn’t escape, creating a higher pressure in the intake manifold.
