この曲はband-maidが二作目に作ったアニメソングですね。アニメのメジャー作品（子供向け作品）です。
一作目はCarry on livingで、「クイズ時子さん」というアニメで、日本の名古屋という都市のローカル放送局で放送された作品です。アニメ作品としては、ほとんどの人が知らないと思います。
GLORYを作った時のインタビューがあったので一部抜粋します。
band-maidが日本のロックファンの間で騒がれ始めたころのライブの様子が小鳩さんとサイキさん本人たちの言葉で語られています。
私もライブに参加していましたので良くわかります。
当時、何故か私はチケット番号がピットの真ん中あたりになってしまう事が多く、ライブが始まるとモッシュに巻き込まれ、挙句に頭の上を体の大きなオジサンが通り過ぎたり、後ろから突撃されて倒れそうになったことがあります。
私が参加したライブではいつも小鳩さんが、オーディエンスに「少し下がって下さい」とアナウンスしてました。
私はライブが終わるころには疲れ果てているか、モッシュから逃げ出しライブハウスの壁に背中を預けて、バンドの音だけを聴いている状態でした。
正式にバンド側からモッシュ、クラウドサーフ禁止とアナウンスされだいぶ楽になりましたが、それでも気が付けばモッシュに巻き込まれていました。
あの頃は私から見ると、絶対に騒ぎたいだけの人たちが参加している時代でした。騒いでいる人たちはライブを盛り上げてやっているつもりなんだと思いますし、二階指定席が出来たころから常に指定席を取るようにした私はモッシュを眺めている立場になり、「モッシュを眺めている分には賑やかで良いかも」と思ってたりします（笑）。

インタビュアー「そういうタイアップ系のお話は、自分達のやりたいことはしっかりやりつつも、オファーしてくれた人達もしっかり喜ばせたいという気持ちで取り組まれるんですね。」
小鳩ミク「そうですっぽね。たぶん、喜ばせることが元々好きなんだと思いますっぽ。ふだんの曲作りから、これをやったらご主人様＆お嬢様がびっくりするんじゃないか、喜んでくれるんじゃないかって考えながらやっているので」
SAIKI「ちょっと視点が違うんだろうね。最初の頃は、自分達のブランドを知ってもらうために、セットリストの組み方もかなりハードにしていたんですよ」
小鳩ミク「でも、お給仕に来てくれていたご主人様＆お嬢様が、ハードすぎて完全に疲れちゃっていたときがあって（笑）」
SAIKI「お給仕後、みんなすごくぐったりしていて（笑）」
小鳩ミク「その頃は、自分達はこれです！っていうのを突き進めていたので、ゆっくりする曲が皆無だったんですっぽ。なので、ちょっと緩やかな曲もやろうとか、そういうところから視点が変わっていって。一時期ちょっと危なかったっぽね？私達も“酸素がない”って辛くなったりとか（笑）」
SAIKI「息が……しづらい……みたいな。若さゆえですよね、そこは（笑）。やってやんなきゃ！っていう気持ちも強かったですし」

band-maidメンバーはこの頃まだ二十代半ばでしたが、オーディエンスは40歳後半から50歳後半が多く見受けられましたし、kagamiさんのデザインしたバンドTシャツを着た70歳くらいの人も見かけました。
初めてband-maidのライブに行った時は（東京の鶯谷駅近くの、暗い街中の今にも倒れそうな古いビルの中にある、昔キャバレーだったんじゃないのかと思われるライブハウス「東京キネマ倶楽部」。キャバレー行ったことありませんが）、中年の怖そうな感じの人も多くて、逃げようかと思ったぐらいです。
ちなみに二回目くらいのメイドの日ライブは、渋谷o-westというライブハウスで行われました。
その時ビジネススーツ（男性）、メイドファッション（女性）でライブに参加すると、ご主人様お嬢様割引きで日本円で500円キャッシュバック（領収書あり）してたりサービス精神が凄かったです。仕事帰りでライブに参加してる感じの人も多く、ビジネススーツの人が私の近くに居て「ご主人様ですね」と入場整理スタッフに問われ「まあ、そう言う事です」と言ったら本当に500円キャッシュバックしてくれてました。

Whenever you figure out what Kanami is doing, it's like getting a glimpse into her musical mind.
They added a solo to this song during their 2019 Europe tour. There is a fancam from a Paris show that I like a lot, but you can't hear Kanami very well.
that's why their songs are constantly evolving and being released,don't get old

For me Conqueror is an amazing album and “Glory” is a great song that has yet to stop growing on me. Such cool guitar work by Kanami and vocals from Saiki & Miku. I think “Glory” is one of Akane’s best displays of inspired drumming genius, it’s such a fierce driving beat with her usual awesome pedal work. The music video, with the VR theme, is fun and clever. I’m glad you reviewed this kickass song.

Kanami's played this song with a solo a few times. Check out Vladimir's video in Hamburg.
I fell in love w these ladies after this song. Still my favorite after all their awesome songs. The MV is the ending for an Anime called Yugioh. In that anime they use VR and sometimes you can get stuck, just like Saiki in the end.

Another song, another banger... what else can you say about Glory?, it's impossible not to dance around Akane's drum beat, being amazed by Saiki and Miku's vocals, and the relentless work of Kanami and Misa in their respective instruments: not quite stellar as in some other songs, but equally important for the overall sound (Band-Maid is always about teamwork!)

Hey Ryan, thanks for both your comments and actually strapping on the guitar. I would like to hear some of your thoughts while figuring out the technique(s) used in the song. Not so much chords used or how a sound is made but more of what you thought was happening vs what you learned. You always have a great way of explaining things. Just an idea.
Surprisingly the video for Glory has the most views for any song off of Conqueror,
beating out Blooming, Rinne, The Dragon Cries, Bubble, and endless Story. I guess there are a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS fans.
This was their first anime song i believe. It was an ending theme for Yu-gi-oh.

I'm here for the realness. I don't want to watch somebody run out of the room in "disbelief", or scream "Whoa!!!" into the camera, or whatever. It's fun for a reaction or two, but then it gets old, fast. Reactors using the maids to yell "It's ya boy! SMASH that like button and hit subscribe! Ring that bell notification!" at me isn't helping win me over. If you have something interesting to say, or are at least genuinely interested in BAND-MAID, I'll stick around. I'll hit that like button.
Like I said, I'm hear for the guy who blows out my eardrums plugging in his guitar so he can learn a riff. Nice job, by the way.

It is, and I thought Ryan got it pretty well by the end. And that bend at the end has to be just right, not too much and not too little.
Indeed. Then after the bend, before the faster outro of the riff, 5doublestops “around the circle” (3rd time in overall riff), all dotted rhythms, I think, or starts on different beat from first two times it(the circle) is in the riff? Not that it’s hard. But too easy to put stress (note onset/duration) where she doesn’t…
Changing my mind, think the fourth note is a different length in the third go-round? Point is, it’s tough to nail!

Thanks Ryan for reacting to Glory, it's an awesome song. One thing about Band-Maid that put them apart from most, they always dance and smile while playing. This happens not only in the MVs but also when playing live on stage, they always dance and smile. Akane is a bit stuck behind the drum set so she is excused, but her smiles are huge LOL, she makes great dance beats though for the others to dance and move with🙂 Greetings from Norway.

Glory to the Maids!!. The best version I´ve ever seen of this song was a live in Summersonic 2019 with new intro and solo time (Miku and Kanami). I´ll leave a link in your patreon of Noodlemagazine that still works. Great job Ryan!

I have tried to play MISA's parts, but came to realize that I have to study the score books more to figure out the intricate stuff that are difficult to hear in the studio versions. Great work Ryan.
Speaking of genre hopping, Kanami said on interviews that she wanted to include a samba beat on a song then she wrote the chorus of Glory as an approximation of it. 😃
Kanami's self cover of this on Band-Maid Prime is all instrumental. It's pretty wild. All of their recent self covers are instrumentals. Rinne, Don't You Tell Me, Alone, Moratorium... It's awesome.

"glory" is sort of an underrated song, at least on RUclips, and I don't know why. It's my third favorite song of CONQUEROR behind "Blooming" (of course!) and "Wonderland". It has a really catchy guitar riff and "reggaeton" drum beat (other japanese rock bands I like are using this similar drum beat in one of their songs: Gacharic Spin "MUSIC BATTLER" and SCANDAL "Take Me Out").
But my favorite moment of the song is when everything slows down and Saiki & Miku are harmonizing then then Kanami's guitar is doing a weird stuff (as usual 😄) 10:21

The combination of Afro-Caribbean rhythms with the heavy guitars makes this song stand out. You rarely hear those things together.
Something about the opening riff reminds me of the anime Trigun's opening theme.
BAND-MAID makes us SO spoiled. This isn't one of my favorite B-M songs, so I don't listen to it a ton, but every time I do I think, "This is really good, I should listen to this more." This would be lots of bands BEST song, and it's just somewhere lower middle of B-M songs for me. What a freakin' band.

This song has a kind of "Latin Rhythm" (especially the chorus part) that you might hear in a Rio Carnival.
I think you can get a better grasp of the song by clapping to the drums before trying out the guitar riffs.
