I appreciate a 'beginner' artist posting the 100 heads challenge. it's motivating for the rest of us beginner artists. I really enjoy watching other's posting their challenge, but when it is seasoned artists that continue to post, it can be a bit frustrating when me, as a beginner, can't emulate them. I know practice makes near perfect...lol....but it's nice to see someone taking the challenge that is more of my level. your art is great, and i can see more individualistic style already coming through your pieces. keep it up. your truly motivating me to take the challenge again.
Thank you!! I agree with you, I enjoy watching experienced artists do the 100 heads challenge but it can frustrating to see that my drawings aren't nearly as good. That's why I want to make these type of videos, it gives a more relatable experience to most artists who are just starting out like me :) I'm glad this video has motivated you!!!
Amazing video. I agree with the idea of studying as you practice. Also trying to get the likeness accurately is an ongoing process that continues regardless of whether you are a beginner artist or advanced. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. New subscriber
Learning anatomy also helps, as long as you don't get lost in the rabbit hole or 'learning' and not 'doing'(which is literally me). But you could learn the skull at first. the proportions and the shape. It helps in making sense of the placement of features.
I think you did great, this challenge is hard. I have tried it but haven't finished it yet. I only got 45 done in 3 days and made a video of it. Still need to do the 55 that are left.
Thank you for sharing!! I tried this awhile ago and gave up. Now I’m slowly doing it, but in my own way. Alcohol markers have been really fun! One tip I heard about is to use gesso on the other side of a page where it bleeds through! It works pretty well!
I'm glad you're still doing it in your own way! That's what matters :) and thank you for the tip!! I'll look into it cause I do want to use my markers more but the bleed through stops me from using them, I hate wasting pages :(
A good video but please don't do the forced subtitles again. They are incredibly distracting when I was trying to focus on the drawing. If someone actually needs them they can turn the YT ones by themselves. :)
