Hi! I'm sharing my art journey on this channel! I began learning how to draw on March 21st 2024 :)
Art Goals For 2025 That Can Actually Be Sucessful
Last year, on New Year’s Eve, I wrote down my main goal for 2024: start learning how to draw. Now, at the start of 2025, I’d say I achieved it, but I took a risk because it was such a broad goal with no actionable steps. So, for this year, I want to share my art goals, tasks, and long-term wishes and dreams and explain why they’re so different. Hopefully, this will help you set your own goals.

Learning How To Draw Lines And Planes Correctly || DRAWABOX Progress #1
Просмотров 10614 дней назад
I recently realized after 9 months of learning how to draw: I don’t actually know how to draw. The point is, I realized this, so I decided to go back to the fundamentals, but I wanted to go deeper than that, and I had heard about Drawabox before so it was time I started these lessons and hopefully, by the end, I’ll actually be able to draw. Hi! In this video I'll be loose sketching a scene from the video game elden ring, this is liurnia of the lakes, one of my favorite locations in the game, it has a great moody atmosphere so I thought it would be fun to sketch it. I used the pentel pocket brush pen for the ink, and my watercolor set is the winsor and newton cotman set of 16 colors. I hope you enjoy watching the speedpaint of this...

I'm Learning How To Draw With No Previous Experience || SKETCHBOOK TOUR #1
I am currently doing drawabox myself. Good luck with your goals!
Thank you! Good luck to you too with drawabox! 😊
Did u follow drawabox from the website or from yt vids?
both 😊 i follow from the website and watch the videos as they come up on the lessons
@ okay thank you! I’ve been watching a lot of your vids lately and they’ve been helping me out a lot!
so beautiful ❤ new friend
I have fallen behind in reading. Used to read a book in a day and a half. Just started reading an older title, The Warded Man by Peter Brett, two days ago. Very good.
I love the video!, and Malenia :3
Great video and great art too :)
Thank you!
this is the second 100 heads video i have ever watched, first one being from jess karp. while these two videos have nothing in common (and seem to be in some aspects polar opposites), both inspired me to doodle some heads and eyes whenever and wherever while having fun. loved the video and the art. you mentioned not using alcohol markers because of a lack of skintones. if you are stiil intrested in using someting other than watercolors, try using and ohuhu skin tone set in combination with the grey set for shadows (or maybe just use the primary set since you mentioned wanting purple for shadows). shouldn't cost you over 50 bucks and the set comes with a special sheet to protect the surface underneath the paper. i hope you try them out. keep drawing, excellent work.
thank you for watching ☺ i'll take a look at those markers, thanks for the tip!
Beutiful painting😮😮😮
Amazing
you're killing it Keep going
Beautiful work
Amazing video. I agree with the idea of studying as you practice. Also trying to get the likeness accurately is an ongoing process that continues regardless of whether you are a beginner artist or advanced. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. New subscriber
Learning anatomy also helps, as long as you don't get lost in the rabbit hole or 'learning' and not 'doing'(which is literally me). But you could learn the skull at first. the proportions and the shape. It helps in making sense of the placement of features.
Really great tips and I love that you drew many different things. As an artist new or not it is important to draw all types of subjects. It helps one's drawing skills drastically. You are doing awesome.
thank you!!
Well done.
I love watercolors but I still remember the first time I ever used them. I was so bad with them that I hated them and tore my first two pieces and threw them in the trash. I have come a long way since then. But it is still nice to remember the feeling of trying something new.
I think you are doing amazing, and I am so happy you decided to pick up art. Your drawings are leveling up.
thank you!
I think you did great, this challenge is hard. I have tried it but haven't finished it yet. I only got 45 done in 3 days and made a video of it. Still need to do the 55 that are left.
thank you, and yeah it's a very demanding challenge, but it felt really good to complete it! keep going! :)
Parabéns pela iniciativa Jess.
You're doing great Jess! Really impressive progress 🙂
Thank you!! 😊
A good video but please don't do the forced subtitles again. They are incredibly distracting when I was trying to focus on the drawing. If someone actually needs them they can turn the YT ones by themselves. :)
I'll keep that in mind!
W video
Thank you for sharing!! I tried this awhile ago and gave up. Now I’m slowly doing it, but in my own way. Alcohol markers have been really fun! One tip I heard about is to use gesso on the other side of a page where it bleeds through! It works pretty well!
I'm glad you're still doing it in your own way! That's what matters :) and thank you for the tip!! I'll look into it cause I do want to use my markers more but the bleed through stops me from using them, I hate wasting pages :(
I love your colors so much!
Thank you! 😊
I appreciate a 'beginner' artist posting the 100 heads challenge. it's motivating for the rest of us beginner artists. I really enjoy watching other's posting their challenge, but when it is seasoned artists that continue to post, it can be a bit frustrating when me, as a beginner, can't emulate them. I know practice makes near perfect...lol....but it's nice to see someone taking the challenge that is more of my level. your art is great, and i can see more individualistic style already coming through your pieces. keep it up. your truly motivating me to take the challenge again.
Thank you!! I agree with you, I enjoy watching experienced artists do the 100 heads challenge but it can frustrating to see that my drawings aren't nearly as good. That's why I want to make these type of videos, it gives a more relatable experience to most artists who are just starting out like me :) I'm glad this video has motivated you!!!
Wooow wooow so beautiful and relaxing time ❤❤❤❤Keep going your art is beautiful ❤❤❤😍🥰😘
thank you!!
those are soo good!!
Thank you!
Keep it good ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Underrated
Heck yes, I would love a sketchbook tour of the 100 heads. I loved every second of this vid, that'd be great!!!!
thank you so much! i'll definitely do a video showing the whole challenge 😊
Watching through your shorts. I'm mesmerized. This seems like a series of illustrations for a middlegrade book and it's just wonderful.
@@totallyfromearth thank you so much!!
Great video, I love the style!
thank you!! 😊
Amazing😮
thank you!
your art is great! keep going :D
thank you! 😊
@@jessgasparart your welcome !
It was really cool seeing the whole process on the watercolor piece! Also, hi Arthur!
thank you! Arthur says hi back! 😸
you've got a great eye and a great foundation already! also, as a fan of your collages, i'm so so excited to see what you draw once you've got your confidence & technical skills up

he's my favorite 😂
malenias helmet looks great tbh the details!!
thank you!
This is really fascinating tbh, and Im not going to lie even at the start you're better than my shaky-ass hands can do... the day 2 animals are kind of adorable fr
The sheer amount of progress you’ve made in all this time nothing short of astounding!!! you’re killing it, Jess!! Darth Vader looks soooo good! 😭😭
thank you!! ☺
"this will always be the most important sketchbook that I have, because I started" YES! EXACTLY! I wish you all the best on your journey ! (Also I really like that you are revisiting the same characters, because it can help a lot to practice drawing a specific thing like Bulbasaur or Kirby and master them)
thank you!! <3 yeah totally, redrawing the same thing really helps me see how much progress I've made over that period of time
