Living in Houston
Houston Texas
Moving to Houston
What’s some pros and cons of the city you live in?
Pittsburgh is affordable but very racist 😭
😂😂😂
Dope video, I appreciate you riding into the neighborhoods... I’ve been to Houston once and it literally felt like home. The next time I go back, hopefully I’m there to stay!
@@ambitiousmissy of course!
@@TierraLaChae I'm from Memphis but a Steelers fan & picked up on that from fans
Been in Houston my whole life everything is affordable, weather is bipolar, food is great, other cities aren’t too far away2-4 hrs drive, oil, trucking, construction, energy and medical field are big here
That’s facts
is it safe for single young women?
@@uuloveguccii4729 yes and no Houston is hub for sex trafficking and I've heard stories of women being followed to their car or at a gas station and grocery store to be abducted but that can happen anywhere so you must be vigilant or like most women in Texas I know they packing heat and pepper spray
Yes if you pack a 38 special. Dont use a purse and be careful when you leave the bank that you arent followed home
@@FRHML-ei5ko is the housing there Affordable or did it went up
dude just radiates good energy
Thank you 🙏🏾
Dope video i’ve been watching a lot of these lately trying to get different perspectives on Moving to Houston and you have made the most sense as far as with the traffic any booming city is going to have a lot of traffic I’m actually moving there this month😎
Just moved to Houston 2 weeks ago and it just so happens I work in the shopping center u showed in Pearland! Definitely glad I moved to Houston
What!? That’s wassup! Feel free to DM me your job, I’ll stop by.

I Love The Vibe I Got When I Was In Houston Cant Wait To Move. They Food Is Top Tier !
Definitely I’m loving the vibe so far
Good food places?
First of all, the sites are stunning! Thank you for taking us on a mini tour. I have been to Houston but not the side you are in. I was more downtown and that was a headache lol. Houston is growing. I personally feel a lot of people are moving to Texas in general. I definitely want to go back. I like to eat and they have so many good spots I still want to visit. Great video. Hope this list helps someone out there.
Facts! I love it so far other than it being a red state! 😷 lmao
Houston has master plan communities which are much different from subdivisions. He’s right the cost of living is awesome and you can make a lot of money here as well. Cinco ranch, the woodlands, sienna plantation, and sugar land are nice places not far from the city. He right they don’t play about missing school 🏫
They definitely not playing about school lol
Any thoughts on Humble, Tx? I’ve been researching areas in Houston. Looking to move this upcoming summer. I have a teenage daughter.
@@krystalhunter7025 THE HUMBLE ACOSCTIA area is nice..you can get a home for 276k and its very good area to raise kids...me and my wife are thinking about East Katy.

In Canada, Pro - free health care & culturally diverse Con- Housing market is exspensive & winters are brutal.
Free health care is fasho a big pro!
@@ItsDope_ Trust me
Health care in Canada isnt free. My wife is from Canada. Doctor visits are free however, the medication isnt free. So its like in a way your goin to pay for health care just on the back in. I thought it was free to until she broke it down to me.
By the way, Im really thinking about moving to Houston next year.
@@cjwalker102 Healthcare is free to a certain degree and yes you have to pay a percentage for medication if you are covered, if not it's out of pocket.
@@dee7122 Your right! Its like it gives the illusion that everything is free but it all depends on the situation. It has its pro’s and con’s though from what I’ve seen
Bro so I just found your channel thank god! I’ll be moving to Houston by myself in May from LA. I hope I love it. I’m excited because I was thinking about moving to Texas or south Florida, but I change my mind on Florida I’ll just visit there LOL Texas here I come!
Yes bro! I wish you all the success on your journey
Stay the hell away from south Florida lmfao. It’s boring and bland here. Only the beaches are good. I’m planning on moving to Texas with friends next year. I’m 19 and I’ve been here the whole 19 years...
Dont do it. Houston is dangerous and they let killers out of jail on bond
Updates?
Hey 👋🏽 I’m moving to Houston from LA too.
Dope Dj Thank you bro appreciate how you showed the neighborhood..I’m debating on moving there from Chicago..not sure if I can deal with the heat when it’s hot tho lol

Houston was fun in the early 2000's, now its more traffic, floods, High crime, drunk drivers, and sweltering heat.
Sounds accurate lol
Facts
It's getting way too crowded here now.
Live in Houston currently, still a solid city to have fun, but everything you said is true
Early 2000s was definitely houston better times
Bro seriously appreciate ur breakdown, great video
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I moved to Houston a year ago! The weather is a pro but when it rains...it rains. I really tried to avoid the toll roads but I am considering buying an EZ tag, I developed road rage with Houston Traffic.
Houston traffic will definitely do that to you, even the EZ tag lanes are sometimes crowded 🥴
🤔 see you got thinking again never been to h town but I got a gut feeling I’m going to want to move down there

Houston definitely a place you can get popping with the right social circle ! Glad I could help
Yea bro, I produce & I'm planning to make the move after spending 2 weeks in both Houston & ATL back to back. I didn't vibe with ATL & it's super saturated. So H-Town it is
Super proud of you for your success!! We don’t know eachother but 👍🏾
I'm moving to Houston in the next couple of years. Can't take any more of this cold ass weather and dumb expensive houses in Canada
Oh wow yea I bet Canada hell’s cold
@Hugo A I'm a Financial Analyst so TN-visa is a very easy option. But Im having second thoughts now that sleepy joe is in office, don't like the direction the country is heading economically. What are you moving to the US for?
@Hugo A I lived in Vancouver for a few years so I know all about that housing market not to mention how expensive almost everything is there. I am currently in Calgary, definitely more affordable here but there's some economic uncertainty especially after Biden canned Keystone Xl. I have been talking to some texas locals and they feel that the state will continue its strong growth since the governor has done a good job to protect them from the federal government. However, I still feel it's not the right time. The Democrats' agenda is way too radical. But it's also nice to see another Canadian that appreciates the economy trump built in his 4 years! Too many people up here just assume we all hate Trump and imo Biden has screwed over Canada more in a few weeks than trump did in 4 years!!
Me too Houston here I come!!!!
I'm from Columbus, Ohio and I'm planning to transfer to University of Houston and move to Houston once I graduate.

In moving to Houston for my new job , I’m scared of the heat 😩

Everywhere has great AC so much so that you need a jacket in summer. It’s not bad unless you’re doing an outside activity outside of swimming 🏊♂️

I'm trying to decide between Houston and Florida. I have a family and my goal is to give a backyard or year around play outside for my son, which I can't do in NYC. We're tired of this snow.
Ahh I think Texas would be better than Florida and more affordable honestly
Texas is way better in terms of education than Floridian but it’s also good to have a support system in place too.
Im in the same boat! I lived in Florida for 10+ years from Jacksonville to west palm & traveled to each corner of Florida (yes even way past Tallahassee 🤢) but unfortunately moved to Utah which has been hell. Now im trying to decide if i want to go back to Florida or check out Houston. Ive been to Houston and other parts of Texas before & Imo they're similar but also very different & their pros & cons kinda lie equally imo aside from Texas having a better economy and education (can blame our government & tourists for the bad economy). Im finding it so hard to choose between the two. My mom had this same problem when i was younger and she chose Florida after we spent about a month in Katy. I think my mom couldn't stand the heat because we we're coming from Ohio at the time. Little did she know Florida wasnt too far behind 😂.
But to help you with some things about Florida, id recommend the west side Tampa/clearwater/ st pete if you have a family. Even Sarasota/Naples would be nice too but that area is more for retirees so a lot of rich old people so its a bit more expensive and laid back. Tampa has a mix of laid back and fast paced. Imo the east coast is more fast past then the west coast of Florida. As for cities on the east coast for families id recommend going no further south than west palm unless south Florida is where you want to be. Which note south Florida is not southern/country for the most part. Thats more of central/northern Florida. Pretty much the closer you get to Georgia & Alabama the more country it gets & so do the people. If you're not a struggling new yorker you should have no problem with money. Northerns make way more than us and things are cheap to them when they come down. Sounds great until you're looking for a job. Unless you're south of in big cities the job market doesn't pay that well compared to other states. And even in south Florida or bigger cities its still not that great especially compared to other states. Florida gets its money from tourists so the living/pay ratio is kinda low. We make a little but things cost a lot to us, not tourists. Jacksonville is meh & so is Orlando. Not a lot of opportunity there if you ask me. Anywhere from Melbourne to Stuart would be good for raising a family.
After seeing what Florida has been through...
Damn bruh you just got a bunch of Nebraska folks tight, they fumbling around tryna hit that dislike button in rage 😂😂
Lmfaooooo
Nigga say “watch out for them hurricanes.. Unless you like swimming” 😂😂

I’ve been in Houston all my life and the traffic is horrible and the drivers. I thank god I know back streets. The nightlife out here is awesome. From the looks of it, it’s looks like you’re on the southwest side of Houston.
I still have to experience the night life!
@@ItsDope_ it depends on the type of vibe you’re looking for. If you like the ratchet vibe or more of a old school vibe then the 3rd ward area is good and river oaks area. Galleria area is cool too.
@@ItsDope_ yeah I'm more hip hop and old school vibe as well. I love how Houston has alot of "black clubs" comparative to other cities that has one or two or have ao called "hip hop nights aka black night". I agree with Dynasty and Combs with 3rd ward. Try the Address and Propect park to start

I grew up in Missouri city my last few years of high school! Good area!
I lived in Houston about a year and a half. I spent significant time in both Missouri City and Pearland. I would suggest Pearland. Pearland has much more stuff to do. It has more shopping centers also. Not to mention it's closer to other places to do things and closer to Galveston. It's just a much better location overall.
@@thegamingchef3304 thanks for the input. I did go check out Pearland and it is really nice! A longer commute to the medical center tho which is where I'll be working or downtown Houston.
@@L8bloomerr Ohh alright. Yeah it's further south. I'm not really sure the distance of Missouri City from the medical center compared to Pearland. I use to live off 45 in Harris county gulfgate apts. They were pretty nice. I moved there from Ohio & I got divorced and loved Houston so much I thought about staying. I found some really nice apts North of downtown for like 600 a month, gated and everything. I couldnt believe it lol. Cost of living in Houston compared to the money you can make is worth it.
