Hey. How can I talk to u
Your methodology on trying out peoples schedule is blown
Amazing video ND, as usual:)
How is your comment 4 hours ago ? But the video is only 13 minutes old 😂
I recognized a lot of the places you filmed here because I live in Verona. Are you going to do some sort of meet-up event where people who live right next to you like me can come, meet and talk to you face to face?
I swear sometimes I think you can read my mind.
Its so nice to see that we all go through the same struggles 😊we can do everything we put ourselves up to
@Karan Thanks, from Bulgaria
Sam Empie No, Sam. They’re called commonplaces. Saying or writing generic stuff that practically anyone can relate to (another example of them are horoscopes). He’s not a genius or enlightened, he’s just good at prose (combined with cool video editing).

Literally same
"If self-discipline feels difficult then you're doing it wrong" - Mark Manson
This could be the best quote of my life.
Thank you for sharing!
you should totally read his books, it's life changing! i mean as Nathaniel mentioned mindset in his pyramid ( i am going to follow the same pyramid) and if you too, that's a great start for mind practices.
@Faris Salhi Make the discipline easy. E.g getting ready for the gym. Lay down your clothes beforehand, and when you're in the gym, bump some music to get in state.
What’s the name of the book?
@@isabelcervantes2945 the subtle art of not giving a fuck and everything is fucked.
@Faris Salhi I think of it as, it shouldnt feel like such an obligation. It should be rewarding and motivational - which makes you want to do it
Avoiding things when you’re under pressure is your ego avoiding failure.
"We don't have hobbies anymore, everything is a side hustle, and we're all looking to boost productivity" hit it right on the head. It's like joy isn't part of the equation anymore.
Wish the best and most productive year to everyone!
upd: well, guys...
Same to you! :)
Same Igor!
I wish u not only the most productive year but the year when u finally are in peace with urself if ur still not like me☃
Igor Sitnikov: Same to you-(:
Same to you Igor. Lets work harder and smarter next year!
It’s like what Mel Robbins says, “procrastination is a coping mechanism for overwhelm.”
I relate to this on another level
“We don’t have hobbies, everything is a side hustle” literally just heard this in bestdressed’s video! I’m listening universe
yes!! bestdressed is amazing and him and her are just. ah. too good for this world
Coincidence universe does not care about you specifically or it would help babies dying of brain cancer
J S what a small minded way of viewing things, but in this world of free will you can go ahead and view life as you please
“A hustle used to be a hobby.”
When fun turns into work, you know you’ve forgotten your journey. 🙏🏼
Right on man. This comment needs more love.
“I’m just a dude on the internet right now” lmao funny how the people on the internet with videos like this help us more than our family and psychiatrist so keep being the dude on the internet! Lol your helping more than u ever know 💕
Rayne Storm They definitely can!! Although I also hope your family and you can develop a stronger bond since they’ll always be with you ❤️ but don’t get me wrong, these videos help so much when it feels like no one understands, but maybe, if you can tell your parents the truth, they might understand?? Idk, sorry if I’m not making sense haha
Flyin wrong assumption
Flyin our parents, in most cases, do not teach us a lot of the things about life and happiness, etc. because they either do not know themselves or for any other reason
Kona Gred I think it depends a lot on your situation!! (: but you’re definitely right there’s a lot you can learn about life and happiness on your own journey as well
Straight facts
Never forget that YOU are the most important person in your life.
You deserve to give yourself the best.
Enjoy 2020 everyone.
Unless you're married lol.
But I'm not so that comment was ironic!
JESUS>NEIGHBOURS>YOU
4:40 "that horrible brand of self-care or self-love, or whatever they call it on Instagram that promotes all kinds of unhealthy, destructive behavior" - can somebody please illuminate me on what exactly is meant here? Thanks :)
At the same time, I do not wish to be the type of person who treats others as though they are unimportant. Prioritizing myself has made me a little more callous toward others' pursuits.
SELF-SABOTAGING was literally my definition of 2019. Time to restructure EVERYTHING for 2020 and life ahead.
Personally, I couldn't agree more. I'm off to do the same thing, so I just wanted to wish you well :-)
I've never seen someone who looks like he smells fantastic as much as Nathaniel
I feel like he smells like dove soap
*Pressure* comes when we want to experience things today that take ages to reach.
Gazing over horizon and wishing that we would end up there without travelling the distance. Enjoy the ride!
I see your comments everywhere :)
O'SSÉIN - Master Your Mind With Me who’s to say everything that causes pressure has to take ages to reach? Everything we want is already within us, it just takes being in alignment/agreement with it to be present in our experience, & that doesn’t need to take ages at all! That’s a limited assumption from someone who teaches about mastering the mind 🤔
Here I must recommend Marcel Proust’s “In search of lost time”.
thank you for your wisdom!! so the antidote to pressure is patience then? ^^
O'SSÉIN - Master Your Mind With Me Well Said. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Not only the message and the visuals, but your sound design is incredible :)

Sooo...who's idea share the same video title?
What do I type to look for those kind of songs ?
1.- super consist sleep.
2.- designated spaces.
3.- training focus.
"treat myself as a i were a good friend" really needed to hear that, thank you
“I peeked when I was six years old” the truuuth
What does that mean?
English not my first language. Could you explain?
@@sarthaksengar1698 It means like being at your highest point, so if I peaked at playing basketball when I was 19, that was the time when I was best at it
(it doesn't help that they used the wrong spelling, it's "peaked")
@@jakeanderson7206 thanks for explaining!
sarthak sengar Reaching your peak, like climbing to the top of the mountain peak .... you’ve reached your peak, attained your best, it’s all downhill from here 🤣 (peek means to take a quick look at something, a sneaky peek, a quick peek - different spelling)
Nathaniel 'hear me out' Drew
Just for chuckle's, absolutely love your content
Nathaniel „i obviously don‘t have all the answers“ Drew :D
I love this
😂😂
Love the talk on pressure bro. Amazing self-reflective outlook for 2020!
When people say they think they have “peaked” in life....just remember that THAT time was like a grand feast sitting at the kings table! You think you’ve had the best of the best...
But there’s more “meals” in this life, picnics that will mean more to you than any feast, a snack on a train and for some reason youll remember the taste of the chocolate and the view of the mountains, there’s small meals with friends that last in your memories...Just because you “think” you’ve had the best..doesn’t mean you’re not hungry and can enjoy another meal..it just might BE the the next BEST! 🤩
As this may be your last video of 2019, I just want to say I've been watching you since the beginning of this year and have found your videos to provide so much benefit to myself. I want to thank you for helping me turn my life around this year and help find clarity in what I want in life.
Thankyou.

Same his output along with Matt have been more than just a video it became a way I started living my life
@@AikiraBeats Nathaniel and Matt are the only two RUclipsrs I really watch. They're the only two creators that create content I find meaning in anymore. They don't grind out tons of videos a week for the sake of it, they put time and thought into each video and I really feel I can take away so much from each new upload.
My God can we just take a moment to appreciate the choice of music??? Like holy shirtballs!!

Love this thought process. Fun and joy should be what we strive for. Work hard but have fun every day on the journey to bringing your work and gifts to life. Love this video!
Fabulous, as always!
I think you're already in a much better place just recognizing and acknowledging these things, dude. No pressure. Just let it happen. But easier said than done, I realize. We love ya, dude.
REMINDER: people are a part of your environment.
I know its incredibly cliched but you have to limit the contact with people that inhibit you. You don't have to completely cut them out, just make sure the negative people aren't the only voices you hear.
Wow. You nailed so many things here. So here's a voice from another generation. I'm old enough to be your grandfather, and I find your observations on self-pressure and the other things you speak of to be relevant and recognizable in my life. I had a 2019 that was partly exhilarating because of the rush of work and opportunity, but partly exhausting for the reasons you list. I look forward to a 2020 that is a different blend of accomplishment and lack-of-accomplishment in the interest of things like the H-word you mentioned: Hobbies. Things that are not always a side hustle. Yes, I'll be working and advancing my RUclips Channel and writing. And yes, I'll be playing and not advancing a darn thing commercially some of the time. So best of luck to you in 2020. (And, by the way, I like your video production style.)
I know that feeling of shutting down and I feel like I've overworked myself to the point where I'm in a permanent "lock down".
I feel you, really. It is actually odd how we try to run somewhere all the time even knowing that it's better just to stop and reflect on things and enjoy the process. But honestly it's mostly depends on a community you are in. If everyone around you runs somewhere it's really hard not to run as well. For RUclipsrs that's also horrible since if you don't post videos you're out. If don't make a lot of videos you're out. Thank you for your videos, really. Every single time I am stuck, confused, not clear I run into your videos and then I come back to clarity and a much calmer condition. Thanks again.
I’m going through a strange area of life.
I’m having the opposite issue to you - I’m not putting enough pressure on myself.
I’m not putting any effort into anything I do, resulting in poor outcomes and an unhappy life.
Same
Any idea of what to do?
You’re probably putting too much attention on the fact that you’re not putting enough pressure on yourself, if that makes sense.
I would recommend you to take some time for yourself, and think about what would you like to do for a living. Try a lot of things, and discover what you really love. Once you know that, productivity, self-discipline and hard work will come without you even trying.
I hope that makes sense, I’m from Spain and sometimes don’t know if what I’ve written is correct 😉
Write up a gameplan of what needs to be done.
Thank you for the tips! I’ll give it a shot
whether I want it or not, I'll definitely will need to change myself and my life a lot in 2020. Apparently I'm moving from Finland to Canada whether I want it or not, since I have already asked my manager to transfer me there in order to unite with my boyfriend, who has changed his mind about our relationship last minute and now I'm on my own. I'm trying to see it as an opportunity for personal growth. I'll try to document my journey on youtube
@nahfeese coleman thank you!
You should I’d watch it. Same situation with the recession we ended up living in London from 2006-2015. Ngl I really miss it and I even got citizenship and plan on moving back when I graduate
@@shrek1140 then welcome to my channel =) My manager promised to give me all the details around NYE, so I should find out pretty soon when will I move.
London is definitely not a bad place to live in! I undertsand why you wanna go back. I lived in the UK for 3 year and loved it there (except the fact that they've never heard about such thing as insulation of the houses), though I wasn't living in London.
Siberian Gone International I even got a bit of an accent since I was around 2 when I moved. And now we live back in my dads hometown with like 15,000. But yeah it was a pain to have to explain why I have a British Accent and citizenship, even though both of my parents are Americans with American accents. The main thing was that everything was close. I used to go with my friends to Amsterdam or Paris just to go mess around for the weekend. Now it cost $800 flight just to get to anywhere in Europe
@@shrek1140 haha, yeah, I know what you mean, it's a shame that transatlantic flights are so expensive. Have you checked Norwegian? They sometimes have rather cheap flights to Europe from New York and Miami
Totally know what you're talking about with the "too much pressure" problem. I struggled with that A LOT when i was in my early twenties. Nowadays i'm more aware of taking time off to rest luckily. It really helps me getting more stuff done when it's time to work again.
It takes lot of "self realization" to connect your thoughts with the masses. I don't know how you are connecting these dots...but I could see the efforts you are putting in each of your videos.
This!
I often feel the same way as you. Pushing myself constantly with no time to sit back and enjoy accomplishments. This is a really good video. Cheers. I'll be watching more
Best History channel ^^^^
The shot where you see your phone and then the focus becomes the reflection of the window was amazing! 📱🖼️🙀🙌
This is not an RUclips Video. This is pure art!
You have inspired me so much , I struggle with alot of anxiety and depression, I put alot of pressure on my left and 2019 honestly was one of the worst years of my life, I'm 19, living with parents and I'm trying to get put and on my own and you made me realise that I'm cable of achieving goals at a healthy pace
Things you can do:
1. Move out from your parents house. You love your parents but they fuck you up by restricting your potential. You need to go out and explore your potential. Seek and find whats best for you.
2. Criticise and articulate more. Tell the blunt truth. Learn to not agree with everything. If you’re not satisfied, tell. Protect yourself from being manipulated by having a say.
3. Try new things, make mistakes, own up to your mistakes and learn from it. Repeat.
Let go of your perfectionist. It ruins you. It make you not willing to take bigger risk which make you fail very big. Take very big leap then fall. Survive the fall and learn from the lesson. Life is an lesson. It is not taught in school.
hey man, lets be friends. My name is Keelan, im 19, and I'm willing to support you in your ambitions. You got this man!
Wish you the best in this new year, you can do whatever you put your mind into, you're strong and capable! Take care of yourself, you deserve only the best
I feel you, I'm about to turn 18 and graduate in May, and have a bit of fear of the unknown. Best thing we can do, is try our best to make our ideas come to life. Save money, start small businesses, experience life. It may not happen all in one day or even one month, but if you stay hopeful it'll happen sooner than later. I wish you the best, have a happy New year. New beginnings .
Keelan Esquivel let’s be friends too , I’m 19

You really have helped me sooo much.

Please please keep these sort if videos coming!
Happy new Year 2020
Same here... I used to set 15 different goals only to achieve 2 of them halfway, being way too ambitious and unrealistic, putting too much pressure on myself.
This year I'll only set one goal but that one, if achieved, would change the biggest impact on my life in all different areas. Also making a video about it...
"Stability is key". Crucially important. Also, that Mark Manson quote is eye opening. Still watching the video but thank you for the quality you put in your video
What an honest video, Nathaniel! Thank you for sharing. As a RUclipsr I can definitely relate. I deal a lot with other people with the videos I produce so I used to be under stress constantly when planning a video, hoping nothing would go wrong/no one would cancel. I used to feel a huge pressure to never miss a week of posting, to make videos that were not only tough to pull off but also unnecessary just to prove something to myself. I began letting go more and putting less pressure on myself; even taking half a day off to do something different without checking my phone constantly can make a difference. Me putting pressure on myself wasn't helping anyone. Balance is crucial so good luck on finding yours! Your subscribers would completely understand if you took more time for yourself.
I can't believe how much your channel has grown this year! You totally deserve it, your videos are amazing, filled with so much value and great insight. I never leave this space without feeling inspired or learning something new.
Relax, have fun and enjoy the process ♡ it's about having a purpose, giving meaning to what we do, loving what we do, waking up every day looking forward to our day and living intentionally and purposely !
This guy just knows what he talks about and I love it!
you’re so genuinely down to earth and human. you perfectly articulate the struggles I face every day. your delivery and presence make me feel so at ease and calm. thank you ❤️
the fact that this was released in 2019 is uncanny considering how relevant it is to 2020
Hi. I started seeing your content this year and it became my favorite on RUclips. Best wishes for next year
In my humble opinion this is your best content to date. This one definitely landed with me. Time to simplify!
Your words are literally my exact thoughts that I'm unable to transfer from my mind to my mouth. All of these topics, apart from moving to a new location, are spot on with my current world. I struggle immensely with applying too much pressure and basing my worth off that. It's so cool to hear someone say these things that im constantly thinking about. Keep it up man!
I grew up in the '70's...and I now struggle with the ball & chain of accessible technology...what you are doing, Nathaniel, is returning to MY childhood. Lock up the phone, put away the technology, listen to your quiet internal voice, walk in the woods, be a part of Nature!! The weaving you were doing is excellent method to settle yourself with a "creative" task while you learn to listen to yourself. I think you are really cool. You are on the right track and you are helping those around you with the difficult journey of living!! I have learned there is much peace and joy in the SIMPLE THINGS
I don't know why but whenever I hear ur voice I feel so motivated and energetic.
Having just moved out on my own. This is exactly what I needed.
Man, this is such an awesome video!
Thanks for sharing all the stuff you do. Blessings and have a wonderful year.
It' been awesome watching your growth this year. Happy new year!
Thank you, you too!
"Applying too much pressure is the same as having no pressure at all" - Nothing has resonated with me more in my life.
I find most of the time the pressure for me comes from the quality of what I'm doing, how well am I doing it or am I doing it "right." But I've been trying to keep in mind the idea that, "Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly."
I find the other kind of pressure cones from time. Like everything is now or never or needing to grind to get somewhere someday.
Dont really have a fix for these but thats how I feel I put pressure on myself
Dude, you're literally speaking to my soul. This is one of those times when I give in to that urge to get distracted from work and it actually turns out beneficial 😅
you DO deserve to do this! believe in yourself. your vision is so clear and powerful
This reminds me of when I started kayaking as a hobby. It's so easy to remain focused on the water and the paddles of the kayak that you forget to look at the view around and the sky, especially the sky.
What are you trying to say here?
Is that you loved the focusing power so much
Or
You're saying that bvz you have to focus, you missed the amazing view?
Written at the end: “seriously, I don’t deserve to do this, you guys have been incredible”
In this video you said you needed to learn to be kind to yourself, compassionate and patient as you were for your friends. Acknowledge that you’ve helped many of us, you’ve done good to get many followers and have positive comments. You deserve it 😊
That, and the "arrogant asshole, to have thought anything else" thing. Ouch, man!
You just voiced all of the thoughts that have been going through my head lately.
Happy new you, Nathaniel. May we all continue to grow in 2020!
This makes so much sense to me, I can relate to everything you said
Time is now! The power of now! Time to conquer our greatness! 2019 Here we are! 2020 Here we Come! 😊😊😊♡
Hey bro! You DO deserve to do this! You have this beautiful gift of sharing your experiences and thoughts in a way that is so truthful and genuine and no one else can. Please treat yourself like the AWESOME person you are, because you are worth so so much, just as Nathaniel. Keep being you, and thank you so much for all the insights and help!!
I love this so much. I relate with my entire being. Something I noticed was a big influencer shared his new years resolutions which was basically "do more; be perfect". I felt exhausted just listening to it. This message is so much more relatable to this generation and i see it everywhere. This is so wonderful
Focusing on the dream! That’s what I love!!
Thank you i needed this. 2019 i ve suffered from Panic Attacks and quitted my job because of burn-out. Now i realised that I am not the Problem and shouldnt hate myself so much. It was too much pressure. In the end i realised that i didnt even liked this job and forced me to so it.
I am looking forward to a new mindset and also talk to myself friendly.
Same, how did u overcome it?
Same. Most jobs suck.
You totally read my mind. And I appreciate you making videos like this, like my personal guidances.
This is one of those videos why I am so completely in love with your channel. Yes, productivity and goal setting is important, especially in order to achieve your ambitions. But it''s the foundation that counts. I just love how you always take a step back and see things from a wider perspective.

If resolutions are just goals, how can they be overrated?
@@bitethatbullet7054 In my opinion, the problem with NYR's is that people think that just because it's a new year, they'll suddenly become more productive or disciplined and they don't take the time to actually focus on the planning of the goal. They just wait for the clock to strike midnight and hope for the best. But again, just my opinion. :)

When ever I'm feeling lost, I know it's time for me to come to a full stop. Acknowledge my feelings, thoughts and let it all out. Focus on the bigger picture. Then and there I recognize that I am just i part of this dumb obvious, yet super complex game of Life, that we're all a part of. Many of us don't know and will never understand the why. We're like zombies, roaming the earth, with no clear direction or purpose.
