    While I don't discount that the TRD system is good as everyone who has it seems to like them, I really like the tone on mine that happens to be a shorty turndown system that dumps right behind the cab and in front of the rear axle. When you romp on the gas and the cams come on, it sounds MEEEEEAAAAAN! Paired with the CAI that has a heat dam but I've done some routing mods in the fender so it sucks up more cold air, having an 'open element' gigantic cone filter, it's the best of both worlds. Peppier low end acceleration, better free revving up high. Short of putting a tune on it, my butt dyno says I've picked up maybe 15-20hp. When I disable all the nannies, I can spin 35" mud tires off the line and continue doing so til the trans shifts up. My model doesn't have the tow haul button, but to be honest, I'm thinking it's in tow haul permanently from the factory. =D

      That does sound great man! You should take a video of the sound and post it or share it with me! I have thought about a cold air intake but wasn’t sure of the benefits, but that sounds pretty cool. Also the butt dyno reference is hilarious! Lol thanks for watching and commenting!

    Great video bud! Like others say - you come across really well. Very likeable dude.
    I love the system. I was able to get my dealer to toss in this exhaust (black tips) and a spray-in bedliner to my white 1794.
    Sold the stock 20" chrome wheels and stock tires. Swapped in some 18" matte black wheels that look similar to the TRD Pro wheels, but with a little less, or more offset (Always forget!) so it's just a little more aggressive stance and some Patagonia M/T tires (33s), and installed a 2" leveling kit. I swapped out, or painted the emblems matte black, so I've got that black and white theme going on. Of course, being a hardcore Texas Longhorns fan, I had to add the requisite Longhorns emblem, but in black instead of chrome! Lol
    Note: If you haven't done it yet, roll all your windows down, hit the tow/haul a*s button and punch it from a dead stop. It's a blast! It's almost as though the tow/haul mode is what the engine is in regular mode, and when it's off, the truck is detuned to help gas mileage (they sure like their gas eh!). But man, the tow/haul modes feels like it adds about 50 hp! The truck literally lurches off the line. Makes it feel light and really responsive. Truck is louder too.

  • @turdferguson5300
    @turdferguson5300 Год назад

    You'll never regret doing that. This exhaust system comes on the TRD Pro and I love it. You won't need to have the engine sounds coming through the stereo like on the 2022 / 2023 trucks. I'm a child of the muscle car era so that takes me back. I'm in the process of having a frame off restoration done on my first car. A 1981 Z28 Camaro midnight blue w/ silver- gray stripes, and T tops. It sounds like a V8 should. At that time gas was so cheap that nobody heard the words "gas mileage" until around 1990 when it approached $1.00 per gallon. lol

    I had a new muffler and tips put on my 2015 TRD 5 or 6 months ago and I am super pleased with how it sounds. What a growl it has now. Although it's not the TRD exhaust system, the Tundras always come out with a nasty bark with an aftermarket exhaust. I wish I could post a little video to show you how it sounds. Keep posting bro! Hope you are well. I have purchased muffler and tail pipe kit and you have inspired me to do this install myself.
    Was wondering a couple things.
    On the 30mm spacing, could you comment on that a little more? It seems like between the rubber hanger and bolting the tail pipe to the muffler, how do you adjust the spacing or is it just line up and it is what it is?
    Second is arenyou aware of anything that should do to CPU like a recalibration because of the different exhaust.
    Thanks in advance for your reply!!

A Terraflex leveling kit should be here by end of next week. I also replaced the chrome grill with the TRD Pro grill along with replacing the chrome front bumper endcaps with color matched ones. @@ddnmd That's super helpful thanks so much! I wish I would have known this was a thing to do before I put it on lol. Anytime I drive in the snow or salt I get the truck washed with an undercarriage wash so hopefully that helps get the salt off! Thanks for watching man!

    Just to be clear the TRD Pro dual exhaust only cost 614.90 correct? I have 2020 tundra TRD off road.

      That sounds like the cost for the exhaust portion! But you also have to buy the tail pipe section! Altogether it’s over $1000. Check it out on sparks parts and if you want you can use my coupon code KCTUNDRA to save 5%. Hope that helps!

      @@kccreations5945 funny, got my truck from Molle and had them put the exhaust on. Definitely sounds mean, but not too loud just how I wanted it. Cats got stolen earlier this year and it took them 6 months for them to get parts for the repair. If you haven't gotten a cat plate under your truck I recommend it. Their communication during the wait was lackluster, but the guys there are cool people otherwise. Handful of Tundras there with the same issue so definitely recommend the plate if you still own the truck and haven't gotten one.
