I really want to know if you keep the car setup stock or if you adjust camber, toe, tire pressure, ride height, swaybars etc? I've found that tuning the actual car setup makes a huge difference in the way the car feels and responds to inputs
I have a tax pro wheel with the clutch but not a hand brake or gear stick yet lol been getting more used to kicking rather than use the hand brake cause yeh lol loving this lol
Refering to the understeer feeling comment towards the end of the video, a lot of assetto mods don't have the best physics for really feeling the car. @@AWSimDrifter it needs practice to look straight and expect to see in another angle, the bad thing is it's not realistic at all, so I prefer not to practice this.
@@sara_m Fair enough, personal preference I suppose, but IMO a little bit of adjusting is far more worth it over not being able to see where you're going. Before NeckFX I used to use RealHeadMotion, but before that I used to just run with the vanilla settings and it was so much harder to drift and tandem like that. I Found myself having to do a lot of guess work with how I entered a corner and linking corners was problematic too. It was incredibly difficult to see the next corner ahead because your camera is fixed on the direction of your car. So if you're on a touge and have a sharp right after a blind left, there's no way to predict that or set the car up for the sharp right. For example, on my second video I linked that was my first run on that touge, no do-overs or retakes, that was my first run EVER on that track. There's no way in hell I could have linked those corners as good if I wasn't using NeckFX or some sort of head motion because you can't see what's coming up ahead. Not only does it help in that way, but also with tandeming too. Before any sort of head motion I couldn't tell how close to someone's door I was or where specifically I was (like was I on someone's door, rear quarter panel, front quarter panel etc) I just had no idea and had to chuck it in and hope for the best. And that meant I also couldn't anticipate when the lead car was going to transition. I like to be able to be on someone's door and anticipate when they're going to transition so I can set myself up to transition at the same time and without head motion or VR there's no way of doing that reliably.
